The list is "Who is the bigger threat to the Chiefs?". Not "Who's the best football team?". I think Mad Dogs list, in it's intended context is pretty good. History shows that the better football teams typically don't beat the Chiefs in high stakes games. It's usually the mid-level (sneaky) teams that are able to 'sneak' in and steal victories from the Chiefs. The rest of the panel was judging his list based off of their own personal criteria. They missed the assignment. As a Chiefs fan, I'm more afraid of teams in the playoffs like the Lions, and the Packers than I am the Bills, 49ers, Eagles, Ravens etc. Those 'big name' teams, particularly the QB's are too desperate for validation. So much so, that they turn into pumpkins when they get on the field with Mahomes. It's the teams that are playing with house money that scare me the most.

The teams on Mad Dog's list aren't a problem. The order is incorrect. It should've been: 1. Lions (great team and beat the Chiefs to start the season. Just kick the field goal) 2. Ravens (refs helped the Chiefs by missing blatantly interference calls and the unfortunate fumble at the goal line by Zay) 3. Bills (they always fight the Chiefs the well, but Josh Allen was trying to give the game away those last 8 mins, though) 4. 49ers (great team, but they blew it each time, and they haven't been to consecutive Super Bowls with Shanahan) 5. Browns (great team, just need consistent qb play)

I agree with Mad Dog regarding the 49ers and I think it was an astute point. Historically, the SB losers have a hard time getting back. Mina mentioned some "emotional reason". Confidence as a professional athlete is what makes or breaks you, Mina does not know these nuances. The Eagles are a team of monsters with their heads screwed on backwards. They will be nearly unbeatable if they find a remedy. Don't forget they outplayed the Chiefs easily two years ago but lost because of you-know-who.

Respectable list I have Bengals 1 as well since Burrow’s the only (non-retired) QB to have beaten Mahomes in the playoffs, how the team does after his injury + the Bengals shaky last season remains to be seen but they’re the biggest threat I understand the Eagles/Jets picks but the Jets O-line + an aging/declining Rodgers concerns me and the Eagles are coming off a collapse w/a down year from Hurts and the Eagles defense. Both coordinators are gone but I have some doubts as to if they’ll return to form I’d move both the Ravens and Lions down 3 spots and replace 2, 3, and 4 with the Niners, Texans, and Packers, Niners because they’re still one of if not the best overall team in the league, Texans/Packers because they’re teams with emerging talent and they both have young, promising, high-potential QBs that may have a better shot of dethroning Mahomes next season

here is my list of chiefs challengers 1.bengals (they have actually beaten them when it matters) 2.49ers (played well for a half and then patrick mahomes outplayed them) 3.texans (had a great year and now have a qb) 4.chargers (division opponent and now have a real head coach) 5.lions ( they should not be number one they beat a travis kelce less and chris jones less team) the only team that stepped up onto the field last year and beat the chiefs because they were were just better on that day was the packers) the lions needed the chiefs best and second best player not named patrick mahomes to be out only to win by one point that makes a huge diffrence if travis kelce and chris jones play that game not only does kc win but kc probably wins by double digits buffalo does not deserve to be on that list might i say regular season champs talk me in january when they actually do something in the playoffs oh but wait a minute they would be around that long to not have the texans on that list and to have the bills on this list is a travesty bills are just regular season teams not worried about the bills havent got past the 2nd round since 2020 their super bowl has closed they took their shot and missed same goes with baltimore just a regular season team that will do nothing in the playoffs

Burrow is one of only 2 QBs that have beaten Mahomes in the playoffs. The only other QB was Tom Brady. Josh Allen had the stars align for him. Home field, overtime rules, Chiefs on a down year, momentum, etc, and still couldn't get the job done. Lamar and Purdy had the best team in football around him and still couldn't get it done. I think beating us in the playoffs might just be impossible. And that's before we sign a wide receiver 1.

But Detroit is finally in a rare air of only several teams can say that they're a few pieces away from actually winning a SuperBowl themselves, and they know it! ... the Lions moves this offense is all orchestrated in setting themselves up to win a SuperBowl and their GM Brad Holmes is going all in.. but not in the splashy signings of a way of a lot of GM's.. he's very methodical in how he operates and make sure he doesn't overpay for players or getting caught in bad contracts while building for the future as his vision is to build a dynasty. . And it begins in the DRAFT! which no GM in the league understands that better then Holmes and that's where he REALLY cooks!.. he's one of if npt the best at finding talent out of nowhere and at low risk..idk how he does it.. this man even goes to different football leagues to aquire under the radar talent.. smh, it's crazy how he does it.. actually genius!..🤔

I love the Lions. I think they are a fun team to watch, and are on the rise, but they ain't #1. Sure, they beat the Chiefs week 1 last year. But the Chiefs didn't have Kelce or Chris Jones. Two of their top 3 players in the league. Also, beating the Chiefs in the regular season doesn't mean much, its the post season that matters to the Chiefs. They play far better late in the season than at the start of the season. Lions can't be #1 on this list.

1. The Browns have no business even being on the list. 2. 49rs are the second closest team to stopping Mahomes when it counts. 3. Ravens and Bills both choke against the Chiefs when it counts, but Ravens should be ahead of the Bills. 4. The Bengals are the only team who can say they've beaten Mahomes when it counted. 5. You said out loud that you are omitting the Eagles even though they also came close but lost to the Chiefs in the SB. They also beat them in the regular season. 6. I understand this list is about next year but keep this in mind, Dolphins, Ravens and 49er's in the playoffs against KC = 4tds.....Bills 3TD's and Allen ran for 2 and threw 1 with zero INT's against KC. Well a lot of teams in the league are just trying to get GOOD, if ya will, in eventually hopefully one day making the SuperBowl, let alone winning it right.. But Detroit is finally in a rare air of only several teams can say that they're a few pieces away from actually winning a SuperBowl themselves, and they know it! ... the Lions moves this offense is all orchestrated in setting themselves up to win a SuperBowl and their GM Brad Holmes is going all in.. but not in the splashy signings of a way of a lot of GM's.. he's very methodical in how he operates and make sure he doesn't overpay for players or getting caught in bad contracts while building for the future as his vision is to build a dynasty. . And it begins in the DRAFT! which no GM in the league understands that better then Holmes and that's where he REALLY cooks!.. he's one of if npt the best at finding talent out of nowhere and at low risk..idk how he does it.. this man even goes to different football leagues to aquire under the radar talent.. smh, it's crazy how he does it.. actually genius!..🤔

Mad Dog said yesterday that Joe Burrow is the second best QB in the league behind Mahomes. By that logic, how can the Bengals not be on the list? He's the only active QB who beat Mahomes in the playoffs. Browns shouldn't be on this list because we don't know if Watson will return to who he was in Houston. Bills are going through a mini-rebuild so they should be at the bottom at the list (if at all). Packers and Texans should at least be honorable mentions because they are on the upswing and overachieved last season.
