I think too many people don’t understand what a helmet does. Your brain smashing against your skull as it hit something hard is what causes most brain injuries, Our brains “float” in our skulls so are prone to injury when it impacts the skull when the skull rapidly decelerates. A helmet mostly does its job with the padding and foam helping the skull decelerate more gently and over a longer distance so the brain doesn’t smash into it and cause permanent injury. ANY activity where your head can hit something hard and with velocity requires a helmet. At the least, your head can hit the rollbar in a RZR, at the worst, it can hit the ground or a rock or any number of things that can kill or injure you. Having fun shouldn’t include risking pointless death or permanent brain injury.
