Fun fact: Red light green light went on for multiple hours in real life. They had to wait 30-45mins between green lights. That’s because the camera crew had to film some shots. Also all the participants really slept in the bunkbeds and everyone had only one tracksuit for the entire duration of the show being filmed. They couldnt leave the building for entertainment or fresh air. They had to entertain themselves for hours and hours while no game was played. I just pushed myself through all 5 episodes, it was difficult but now it's proven that it can be done. The worst part of the whole show was when some lady was acting like a saint, like she was the savior for the whole group because she chose to vote out a doctor/surgeon or something that did absolutely nothing wrong. If anything he was trying to help the group and had good intentions. She was so proud of herself for that. This was in episode 4
@shellynick7636 ай бұрын
What do you mean savior? She was just watching out for her team and eliminating threats. The doctor(330) was a leader and eliminating him was a good move
@jaguwa48166 ай бұрын
@@shellynick763 He wasn't a leader of any group or team and was certainly not one of the biggest threats to her or her group. She saw that somebody disagreed with her on something and chose him because of that, which in my opinion is immaturity. He had good intentions and if anything was making sure there were NO targets on anybody including their group by making the eliminations random. If I was one of the remaining players, I would have also disagreed with him, but I also realise that his intentions were good and that he would have been no threat to me. It was not a smart choice at all. Edit: I don't mean to offend any specific people, but from what I've seen online it's very common for Americans to associate "disagreement" with "against". @unfiltered84076 ай бұрын
Personally, I believe you. One of my friends auditioned to be on the show and got accepted to be a participant. But she turned down the opportunity after finding out what the living conditions would be like during her final interview with one of the shows producers. She was smart enough to ask about living environment and accommodation during her virtual interview. She told me they told her that they have to stay in the building during the entirety of the shoot, that they couldn’t leave even during NON-filming hours, that the showers were co-ed & communal (but had individual stalls-at the very least), that they’d only be wearing the track suits and no other change of clothing even on NON-filming days, that their belongings would be confiscated (no phones, no books, no music, etc), and that they couldn’t order food from outside and they were to eat only what the show provided them witb to make the experience feel more “real” and “immersive”. She said when she heard all that she was like hell no and respectfully bowed out, lol. Good luck to the 1 person who ends up being the sole victor though.
@imightbebiased93116 ай бұрын
Hate to break it to you, the stuff with the kid and his mom was super scripted. "Another says she was eliminated when there were five seconds remaining on the clock at the end of the grueling nine hours. But as she waited to be escorted off the set, she says she noticed cameras pointed at a contestant who was playing with his mother. 'This kid is sitting at the finish line, he’s crying, and cameras are on him and he’s waiting for his mom. They added [more time] to the clock for her to get across because she was one of the people that they wanted to be in the show.'"

I honestly expected Netflix to have all the contestants staying in a nice hotel and that they’d be able to enjoy the experience as free vacation and explore the UK on non-filming days, then have to suit up and “put on a show” during filming days for the show. But that was definitely not the case. Netflix just wanted free labor for a fraction of the price and only 1-person (being the winner) walks away with a paycheck…a BIG one. I told my friend that Netflix is actually cheaper/stingier than I expected them to be given how much their stock & company is worth, lol. As someone who was actually there as a contestant for 9 days, I can say nothing was scripted or trumped up. Bryton (432) was genuinely that way, the whole way through. The MIVs (interviews) were definitely baited or targeted questions but there was honestly NOTHING that was pre-planned or staged. I WILL say the final cut really edited out a LOT of context. I've been filling in gaps for people all week. The production were just extremely opportunistic at framing things well. For example, Dani and Kyle (the people who eliminated 200) were pulled out randomly to do chores, we had NO clue they were the ones selected to take that test. The next day is when they revealed the elimination, so it genuinely caught us off guard.

I don't think it's fake I just think Netflix has purposefully hand picked each and everyone as mentally ill misfits from each other to create as much drama as possible. Ego is a big thing as well trust me people can act and say really dumb things if they think they're better than everyone else, it's ironic because anyone playing for the money isn't going to win the money. They need a different mindset to win. My money is on 18 (quiet, reserved, smart and watching in the background) The casting isn't fake but the selection process certainly wasn’t random at all. To add onto this they purposefully created challenges to further stir the drama by eliminating alliance members to create more drama. I think it's in the terms to go out quietly if eliminated as you can see people quietly balling their eyes out hunched over. So there was real stakes and loss on the line for certain. It's not Squid game it's a psychological mind fxck.

They got eliminated because the producers called out the old man to be taken back stage and the dude with the mullet went with him, at that moment their fate was sealed because now everybody became aware of their presence and when they both came back the most logical thing to assume is that they gained some type of advantage, which they technically did (candy bar), so in short the producers of the show screwed the old man and the dude with the mullet.

Saw a girl on tiktok who was supposedly contestant 021 (emmashavingfun). She said it took like 6 hours to film red light green light and some of the pauses were having to hold their poses for 40 minutes at time, so that’s probably why they couldn’t stay in the squat. And that’s also why a lot of them were flopping or trying to get into a seated position…

@@callmecharlie4250 that does explain why she had to quit but that’s stupid as hell on the show creators’ side to pretend it all happened within 10 minutes and highlight her giving up because it definitely took away from the quality of the show
@littleblueclovers6 ай бұрын
@@shanedancer3895that’s a good point. It probably would’ve been more interesting if they revealed that each pause was 10~40min to show how intense it was. Maybe a few shots of people shaking in place from an uncomfortable position, etc. Making it seem like it’s a few seconds or a few minutes tops downplays the “intense gameshow” vibe they’re trying to go for.

They knew it was the cookie game. THey were just brought into the wrong room and then instead of doing what the TV show did and let them each pick their own cookie they were all dependent on whoever was in front of the line. They also assumed that the 3rd game was going to be Tug-O-War but it turned out to be Battleship. What's really dumb is they should've known marbles was coming up yet they all decided to pair with their best friends when told to pair up.

i actually liked the change to Battleship, tug of war is super strength dependent so the team with all the big guys on it would probably win.

So I personally know one of the contestants. He stated that for red light greenlight was not 5 mins and was actually 7 hrs. The robot would sing for 5 secs and the timer would only countdown during the singing part. When the robot was not singing, the timer would pause and they had to hold their position for 20 mins. They would review the footage to see if anyone moved during the game and they couldn't move while they reviewed the footage. Thats why people would dive, so they would be laying down instead of standing for 20 mins and thats why the girl who squatted got out, cuz she had to hold the squat for 20 mins. My friend said people got out because they had to go to the bathroom and couldn't hold it.

One of my friends auditioned to be on the show and got accepted to be a participant. But she turned down the opportunity after finding out what the living conditions would be like during her final interview with one of the shows producers. She was smart enough to ask about living environment and accommodation during her virtual interview. She told me they told her that they have to stay in the building during the entirety of the shoot, that they couldn’t leave even during NON-filming hours, that the showers were co-ed & communal (but had individual stalls-at the very least), that they’d only be wearing the track suits and no other change of clothing even on NON-filming days, that their belongings would be confiscated (no phones, no books, no music, etc), and that they couldn’t order food from outside and they were to eat only what the show provided them with to make the experience feel more “real” and “immersive”. She said when she heard all that she was like hell no and respectfully bowed out, lol. Good luck to the 1 person who ends up being the sole victor though.
