Yeah the issue with that particular redlight green light challenge was that they would have to freeze for much longer periods of time than what was shown in the final cut. Meaning they would have to freeze for up to half an hour at a time. Thats why so many people dove to the ground. Thats also why the girl gave up after squatting, it was for much longer than a couple seconds. They would also add time back on the clock so main characters could make it. They could have broken the groups of 100. Do 1 full episodes with each group, fleshing the contestants like a "real" reality show and creating expectations with each episode. When the groups got smaller, they would join into one big group. You would have alliances from the previous groups, drama from the ones that already made groups and it will snowballed from there. They didn't have to copy a 1 to 1 version. They just need it to do a reality show and dressed up with the squid games.

I just pushed myself through all 5 episodes, it was difficult but now it's proven that it can be done. The worst part of the whole show was when some lady was acting like a saint, like she was the savior for the whole group because she chose to vote out a doctor/surgeon or something that did absolutely nothing wrong. If anything he was trying to help the group and had good intentions. She was so proud of herself for that. This was in episode 4
@shellynick763 Жыл бұрын
What do you mean savior? She was just watching out for her team and eliminating threats. The doctor(330) was a leader and eliminating him was a good move
@jaguwa4816 Жыл бұрын
@@shellynick763 He wasn't a leader of any group or team and was certainly not one of the biggest threats to her or her group. She saw that somebody disagreed with her on something and chose him because of that, which in my opinion is immaturity. He had good intentions and if anything was making sure there were NO targets on anybody including their group by making the eliminations random. If I was one of the remaining players, I would have also disagreed with him, but I also realise that his intentions were good and that he would have been no threat to me. It was not a smart choice at all. Edit: I don't mean to offend any specific people, but from what I've seen online it's very common for Americans to associate "disagreement" with "against". I think it's a very immature way of thinking.

As someone who was actually there as a contestant for 9 days, I can say nothing was scripted or trumped up. Bryton (432) was genuinely that way, the whole way through. The MIVs (interviews) were definitely baited or targeted questions but there was honestly NOTHING that was pre-planned or staged. I WILL say the final cut really edited out a LOT of context. I've been filling in gaps for people all week. The production were just extremely opportunistic at framing things well. For example, Dani and Kyle (the people who eliminated 200) were pulled out randomly to do chores, we had NO clue they were the ones selected to take that test. The next day is when they revealed the elimination, so it genuinely caught us off guard.

@jenilee-ef1zithe difference is most shows don't require you to squat or stand in an awkward position for an hour, over 8 hours. They let you stretch in between takes if positioning isn't a big deal - and if it is, they just mark your position with tape so you can stretch and then return to the same spot. She told me they told her that they have to stay in the building during the entirety of the shoot, that they couldn’t leave even during NON-filming hours, that the showers were co-ed & communal (but had individual stalls-at the very least), that they’d only be wearing the track suits and no other change of clothing even on NON-filming days, that their belongings would be confiscated (no phones, no books, no music, etc), and that they couldn’t order food from outside and they were to eat only what the show provided them with to make the experience feel more “real” and “immersive”. I don't think it's fake I just think Netflix has purposefully hand picked each and everyone as mentally ill misfits from each other to create as much drama as possible. Ego is a big thing as well trust me people can act and say really dumb things if they think they're better than everyone else, it's ironic because anyone playing for the money isn't going to win the money. They need a different mindset to win. My money is on 18 (quiet, reserved, smart and watching in the background) The casting isn't fake but the selection process certainly wasn’t random at all. To add onto this they purposefully created challenges to further stir the drama by eliminating alliance members to create more drama. I think it's in the terms to go out quietly if eliminated as you can see people quietly balling their eyes out hunched over. So there was real stakes and loss on the line for certain. It's not Squid game it's a psychological mind fxck.

They would review the footage to see if anyone moved during the game and they couldn't move while they reviewed the footage. Thats why people would dive, so they would be laying down instead of standing for 20 mins and thats why the girl who squatted got out, cuz she had to hold the squat for 20 mins. I found it funny bad. A guy got bullied into choosing umbrella and started crying about it. He also cried in the interview. Even when the match began, he spent the whole time crying and dry heaving while cutting the cookie that was literally drowning in his saliva. When he broke the cookie he just laid down and closed his eyes like he was preparing to get shot. Truly the funniest character in the series😂

the show is good: its a standard reality show and you can skip the filler if you want. so nothing agaisnt it; everyone is being overly dramatic but intentionally so, so they appear in the final edit. i can understand not liking reality shows in general and essentially people pretending to be energetic and annoying to draw attention but its not bad in any way.

It's not bad, obviously nobody's gonna die. So far I'm at episode 4 and this show is really interesting and quite funny. Some proper drama queen's like any other reality TV show bit so far this, for real life, is pretty authentic. I mean the umbrella game was brutal ffs

It’s like a show made years ago, it put contestants in a “apocalypse” scenario (but it was obviously the backlot of either Warner or some other studio lot), and they had to find their food, they got a shelter but no resources so they had to make cisterns for rain water, a handmade water filter system, they even rigged a bunch of car batteries with a solar panel to get power. The really stupid part was that ever so often crew members would go by as just “survivors” and either trade with them or try to invade the shelter. The show was beyond stupid because they even had to act as if a real apocalypse had happened and they where among the last humans remaining.

I hate to admit it, but I loved it. It's clearly fake, massively over produced, unrealistically dramatic, but for some reason I can't switch it off and am actively looking forward to the next episode. I guess I just find it funny, the strange interactions between the players, the odd characters they chose to develop throughout the show, how everyone seems to be an ego-maniac, toxically competitive athlete, bible thumper, paranoid month breather, "a good guy/gal", or some mix in-between. And how the focus characters shift wildly has people get eliminated. It's like a guilty pleasure, a bad reality tv show you wouldn't tell your friends you watched unless you knew they were fans too.

IDK, when someone has a net worth of probably over $1B, I am not sure they are simply a KZbinr anymore; they can afford a budget on almost any practical scale. But I get ya; the fact that MrBeast made something presumably better (I haven't watched it) says a lot about Netflix.
@JackingBastos Жыл бұрын
bro wdym Mrbeast did better this is just being bias and being fanboy of mrbeast. Objectively, netflix did better and they also involved the director of squid game on this. IDK what's your mind but most of you that when someone knows the game, you say scripted. But when someone acting bad, you say worse. WTF it contradicts. You're just hating netflix because of their past issues.
