Sorry, as an old school boy who grew up in the 60's on wood lanes with a lacquer finish (and, yeah, I eventually 'assimilated' to plastic lanes and the early generations of reactive bowling balls - I gave it up about 18 years ago when league conditions got so easy that one could shoot a 279 and not win the pot or get out of the bracket) - I find it hard to feel for bowlers who leave the solid 9 with those insane angles of entry into the pocket. Solid 8 - yeah, that always stunk and still does - can't even imagine how it happens with those entry angles. And this nonsense of being so far left as to be playing the 5th or even 6th arrow??? Would love to see them try to do that on lanes with over-ground ball returns.

@AgateBrick5 жыл бұрын
josef steiner 🤣🤣 Nice. I have to imagine throwing the ball that fast you have gotten a few weird leaves that you don’t see everyday. I haven’t personally left a 5-7-10 yet but it’s not to say I haven’t tried. Something I have done this season more than I remember in any other is leaving pocket 7-10s. I have left more of those then I want to admit. I think I still have a picture of it somewhere. I would have to look. I did it when I was alone so of course I’m screwing around for a little instead of actually practicing. I know I took a picture of it as you just don’t leave that in serious bowling. I’ll try to find it for you. Edit: Now that I’m thinking about the 5-7-10 is one of those split you can leave with a 6-10 pound ball then turn around and pick it up with the same ball just because of its deflection. The way I always picture myself making it is taking my strongest ball and getting it to tap the 5 to hit the 10 pin and the ball deflect off the 5 and hit the 7.
