You can make an argument that grouping up vast swathes of people that look a certain way (ie. tattoos etc.) and having 100+ defendants under the same criminal complaint all represented by the same lawyer is a violation of their human rights. Easy. El Salvador prison isn’t run for profit. Their main incentive is to lock up gang bangers. American prison/justice system runs on profit incentive. Every step of the way to prison is design to generate revenue. It uses business strategies like cost cutting, lean administration all in the name of maximizing profit(not saving tax dollars)

What I don't agree with is with is the treatment of prisoners. Keeping the lights on 24/7, having them sleep on metal beds without mattress, a pillow, or a blanket, and making 80 people share one single toilet, are measures that are nothing short of torture,
