Pirates are so romanticized because of the varios works portraying them as lovable, free and adventurous people and not as the people they actually were back in the 1700s, the golden age of piracy. Flipping the script here on the KZbin question: the worst part as a viewer for me is seeing a KZbinr wanting to branch out and being screwed over by the algorithms because it favors single concept channels the last half decade. It's what's prompted the "three channels per person" ideal and I don't think that's better for the viewing experience - I like having all my KZbinr X content under one banner with playlists to separate content. Plus it sucks seeing people wanting to branch out (see Poppt's attempts to go to more generic Nintendo games for a while) and feeling trapped by the algorithm as a result. I get it's a job and you need to get paid, but I think it really sucks that your job discourages innovation to keep you from feeling trapped in what you started off with. Also hi HopCat, hope your day is going well whenever you trawl through the comments.

I've got a bad chronic illness and all I've been able to eat for almost 3 years now is brown rice (with salt) and all I can drink is water. I have to eat 6 times a day because my system can't digest well enough if the meals are any bigger. What I've learned is that those survival things are bullshit. The human body is surprisingly amazing at making do without stuff that seems vital. Some things can be substituted by your body and some things can straight up be transformed and theres bodily functions that are real nice to have that can be either slowed or turned off. Most survive on x food things do not account for how your body deals with and compensates for a vitamin deficiency. Granted it's not healthy to just eat one food (except I guess breast milk) but the human body is very good at surviving shit people in a lab say should be impossible.

Surely you take some supplements though, right? At the very least the lack of vitamin C from not eating fruit would eventually give you scurvy (speaking of pirates) and kill you.

@@Trevor-kc6zv I'd recommend indie games more in general, there are a few I played last year that I loved like Celeste and Hollow Knight but both of those are more on the difficult side. Other games I liked watching but didn't finish playing are Cuphead and Just Shapes and Beats but those are also on the difficult side. If you like a challenge I'd suggest any of these games but for more casual gaming I'd look into Nintendo titles though I haven't played many of those recently. For RPG's a big one I loved was OMORI which apparently comes out on switch this spring and another one I loved was Octopath Traveler which has a more recent game in the "series" in Triangle Strategy. Sorry if none of these games are your style, these are just personally the types of games I like. I wish you a speedy recovery!

I go to a place in Maine (America) that serves lobster, and they pump water directly from the ocean into the lobster tanks, which makes the lobsters think they are still in the ocean. Striking is pretty open but Muay Thai, Boxing and Sambo/Kickboxing is the generally most common with Karate and Taekwondo pretty rarely seen. UFC 1 was absolutely nutty. Sumo guy was extremely low tier got his teeth knocked out in the first minute, 6'6 60 win kickboxer was sick, and they did multiple fights in 1 night. Its absolutely what you'd imagine it would be when pitting people that know just one technique against each other . (I wont spoil who won, but it's not who most people would expect). It's hella easy to find online too. Theres also a chinese mma fighter that goes around and beats the snot out of long time martial arts grandmasters, who always are extremely salty about losing.

For the gangasta thing (specifially afro-american hood gangstas) it's not really about glorifying it's more about representing there lifestyle and there community, most so could "gangstas" don't chose that lifestyle/area they grew up in it's what they were born into and they represent that through music and such. People like Tupac and Biggie didn't chose to be born into a community were there are frequent shoot outs and gang wars but they represent that through there music, that's what a true gangsta is. It's not pretty and glamorous but it's real.
@skimaskedabi2 жыл бұрын
Tupac wasn't even really bout it, but he had friends that were for sure. But yeah, after living in the hood for over a decade it's definitely not glamorous, but I think what makes it appealing to the masses is the freedom of it since everyone minds their business you can smoke blunts at the store where it's illegal, you can flash your switch with the drum, or trap out of your house and nobody will rat you out.

The earth rotation around the sun does effect the heat of the earth. Thats because it doesnt make a perfect circle around the sun but more of an ellipse, so in summer and winter thearth is closer to the sun which makes it hotter for the half of the earth that is faces more towards the sun.
@tinkut89602 жыл бұрын
This is a minor effect. Peter was exactly right. The reason why there are seasons is that the parts of the Earth that are tilted towards the sun get more direct sun rays, while the other parts get more spread out ones. This is why the equator is also hotter. For example, during summer in the northern hemisphere (around July), the Earth is actually at its farthest distance from the sun (called its aphelion).

I think jordan is like simultaneously the smartest underdog but also the most silly one (not in a bad way, I love him). he is like the comic relief sometimes and its just funny to hear and see his random stuff, and he's probably nice and fun to be with I think jackson is probably the calm collected really confident absolute chad of the group.
