Hardwick saw what was coming and bailed, the signs that things were about to go very bad were there. Hardwick realised that their efforts to reload had gone horribly bad and found an easy way out. I get Richmond people will defend him and maybe that's fair enough, but for someone who was burnt out he had a 3mth break and then ended up at a club who are a very similar list to the one he got at Richmond. Richmond are now relying on this draft being stacked and that those picks really work out. Yze will struggle for another 2-3 years and then get sacked just before they build a list worthy of winning because he'll be labelled no good.

I hope the higher-ups at Richmond recognize what Yze has to work with during the next period, and don't cave to win/loss pressure. Give him 5 years with this list. If by then he still doesn't have them humming then fair enough move him on. But don't sack him at the end of 2026 when half the list still haven't grown their first pubes.

Sounds about right, but things can turn quickly. look at Mitchell at Hawthorn, the naysayers were tipping them for multiple wooden spoons, look at Fagan to Brisbane, when he went there, they had just finished 2nd last, when Mcrae went to the pies they had finished 2nd last as well, they got some kids in & it all turned around very quickly. I don't know if it will happen at the tigers, but footy is a funny game, things change very quickly for better or worse

Let’s not forget that Damian Hardwick lost his first 9 games, won 6 in his first year and had a full compliment of players. The Tigers got massacred with injuries to all their top tier players this year . I guess I’m luckier than most, I’m 74 and seen my Tigers win 8 flags and already paid 2025 membership. We’ll be back.

i dont think adem wanted dusty in his team and he didnt want him limping to 300 on his watch. maybe he tried to install discipline and scared the players off. tiges are pretty soft anyway. just because they were lucky to win a few flags in an ordinary era for the afl, doesnt mean they are superstars. how many good teams would bolten and co be lining up for ???
