I think Cook Off is a decent addition, actually. It's a really mechanically bland heist, where you just cook, but you're going for all 19 bags it gets really challenging and enjoyable in my opinion. The problem with this heist is the armor sustainability of Payday 3. In Payday 2, you had infinitely regenerating armor. In Payday 3, your resources are finite. It's not built for Cook Off, so you're nearly required to run Adaptive Armor. Most people straight up leave if there's a 4-plate that would soak all the armor.

Lab rats have to be one of worst, least fun to play heists in whole game. Maybe even *the*. But oddly enough, I belive that remake, if it could adress this map issues ( crippling lack of cover and far too few option to travel up and down ), it actually could be really fun.

@@ComissarYarrick I used to think the same, but Lab Rats does have very good cover (ie: under the CS and under the blender, others are more improvised but not nearly as exposed as you may think ), to the "few options to go up and down" argument... well... for going down, you can practically jump anywhere, not just beds but there are tons of skips on solid objects, for going up it's more restricted, but I hope you know you can also climb up the barrel nearside the CS without the rope, still those are 2 options to go up (ropes and jump skips)

Personally, if I could decide, I would first probably port almost all the heists from Payday 2's launch to Payday 3, just to increase the amount of content the game has. Now, how would that play out with the story? Two options: - Either the plot specifies that these exact same locations were also in New York, - Or the gang goes back to DC to rob a few places to show USA, that they don't limit themselves to just New York and its surroundings.

Instead of using the compound for moving and storing spoils of war, Bellmead uses said warehouse as a logistics station to securely store, and transport goods for various clients. Your job is to go in and take those goodies off their hands. Quietly of course. 2 Car Shop (Repeat) The teur dealership in D.C just filled their showroom with top of the line sports cars. It’s about time they got hit again. Simple and quick. Find the storage room, once found go grab some c4 from the van. Place it underneath the underpass to block off any police pursuit. Head back to the storage room and place a charge on the door. Grab the keys, grab some wheels and speed away. 3 First World Bank (Repeat) Hitting the First World Bank and cleaning out the vault was quite a feat. Hitting the bank a second time, cleaning out the vault and doing a whole puzzle to unlock a private vault to Mr Trusts fortune and walking out with $70,000,000 worth of mayan gold? That will go down as a legend in criminal history. Maybe it’s time to clean them out once more. Show New York that the Payday Gang doesn’t shy away from hitting the same place a 2nd time. Or a 3rd. Can do it stealth, or go in guns blazing. Let’s do this. 4 Golden Grin Casino (Flashback) Nothing changes from the original. Just updated visuals, and gameplay. Either replace the voice actor of bain since Simon is good as gone or try to have Giancarlo Esposito lead the mission as the dentist. 5 Framing Frame (Flashback) Same as before. Just updated visuals and gameplay. Either try to find a replacement for Bain’s voice actor or get Bokeem Woodbine to have The Elephant act as the contract lead. 6 Election Day (Remake) It’s that time of year. NYC is going through another mayoral election. It just so happens that one of Shade’s associates has made it past the primaries into the general election. As had been done for Mckendrick , a set of voting machines are to be intercepted and hacked to ensure the insider becomes mayor and the Payday Gang can operate more smoothly. 7 White House (Flashback) Same as before. Just updated visuals. Try to find a replacement voice actor for Bain. 8 Transport Heist. (Remake) Intercept a Gensec Truck carrying valuable loot, as well as documents pertaining to Concord. Pretty much a replication of Heat. Stop the truck with an ambulance, then knock it over with a semi truck. Drill or blow open the truck and clean out its contents. Load up the van and place a stinger on the road behind the van to slow down any pursuit. Then take off. 9 Harvest and Trustee Bank (Repeat) Simple bank job. The Harvest and Trustee bank on 5th street in D.C has been dying for a Payday Gang reunion. Same as before, gain control of the crowd, and use a thermal drill to open the vault, and clean it out. All loot is randomized. Vault will never just have deposit boxes to open however. Very high chance for cash to spawn. High chance for jewelry. Moderate chance for gold, and a low chance for a large safe to spawn inside the vault which also needs to be drilled. Inside is one of the following. A crate of vintage wine. A limited edition solid gold kawaii dozer bobblehead. A USB drive linked to a Harvest and Trustee executives offshore accounts. A briefcase containing printing plates. And last but not least “the diamond”. 10 Firestarter day 1 (Remake) One of Gage’s largest shipments just got seized at the airport in D.C. Same place the Payday Gang hit for Hector years back. Gage says that the weapons must be destroyed to erase the evidence or secured in the van. He will pay generously for doing the latter. Edit: We got first world bank.

I can imagine them doing a heist where you steal some high-tech VR equipment for the purpose of keeping their skills honed, and completing said heist lets you unlock the ability to replay old heists remade for pd3 doesn't need to add all the heists at once but it would be an easy way to replay heists that wouldn't make much sense in pd3 and its story (also they should add a heist of the day that gives 10% more money/xp just to give us a reason to swap it up once in a while

Shacklethorne Auction (the best vibe among the heists, I still make alcohol drinks they have on their Icebreaker update) 3. Breakin' Feds (I was a fan when this one dropped, Hoxton Breakout day 2 but stealth only) 4. Henry's Rock (I just like the randomness of this heist, having 4 Doors but only 2 can be robbed, I think this one is fun) 5. Brooklyn Bank (Now I want this heist to have stealth option like PD2 did with PD:TH heists) 6. No Mercy (stealth bonus cause u did 1st half stealth was something fun to see and I liked L4D) 7. Counterfeit (I liked printing money and bug that made heist perma stealth makes me wanna try it in Stealth in PD3) 8. The Diamond (the Goat especially in stealth) 9. FWB is confirmed to be back (hope with Overdrill) 10. Golden Grin Casino (add mechanic to gamble, casino must have in PD game)

White Christmas can work, but it need a bit of work. With few changes to the map it should be fine. I think if its less rocky, with more trees for cover it could be a fun little heist. Honestly using the basics of older ideas that did not necessarily work and taking another crack at it can work. They will also need to add some all time bangers is also necessary, but its a double edged knife. Great heists are so beloved that any change to them while being addapted will cause backlash. So they would be better off starting with one of the mid heists with a bit of rework and see how it lands.

I will die on the hill that they should add alesso heist but call it "gensec arena" Have different artists playing there with different genres of music. Make the pyrotechnics sequence about half the length and make players have to find a code for the sequence, so it's actually a part of the heist you can mess up instead of just having someone tell you "hit the left button"

I personally think the best potential of PD3's heists is to reimagine old concepts rather than be tethered to the old map design. PD2 was very limited on that front, mostly only adding modernised features like extra loot, bag hauling or stealth, but not critically examining and altering the map design. 3 having the precedent of changing Cook Off or completely reimagining Four Stores is very exciting IMO and makes me want stuff like Mallcrasher the most, heists that didn't live up to their potential in previous games

My only major concern is on the multi-day heists. Multiple days meant a break between the action to restock and adjust the battle plan as needed, but resources are much more finite in 3, and pre-planning relatively less impactful. As is, the result would either be three separate heists, or one long one. One would definitely be preferable to the other, but it could also lead to a bloat of content. Not to say we dont need more PD3 content, but breaking a 3 day heist into 3 separate heists would feel a bit....I guess filler-ish.

I think cook off is a fine enough addition to payday 3 (though I would have liked it a bit later and still endless) because it's just an easy turn your brain off kinda heist, no other objectives, no detours or nonsense, just you, a endless waves of cops, tons of bullets and as simple of a goal as it can be, you don't have to think and sometimes you just need that kinda thing.

Having the original PDTH throwbacks with an RTX ON-esque trailer could have at least made PDTH obsolete. No Mercy with actual destructable walls, ceilings and the escape sequence walking just the same L4D route backwards it'd show the fidelity upgrade more than a new heist ever could. Panic Room with a vault too deep down so you push it sideways like Black Cat allowing you to roam the surrounding strees. There'd also be the Goat Sim Day 1 which'd be the optimal map for cooperation a notion of robbing 4 places at once to divide the cops into manageable crowds then collecting the loot at the center oh the potential. Innovation is the game and hey they got the minigun back adding more custom enemies it's starting to become a new game finally.

Im a console player: as someone who didn't really get any content, and was abandoned I know I'm not alone here. I would rather see all of the jobs that I didn't get into payday 3. Maybe that's just me 🤷 but I've played Payday 2 for countless years and there is only so many times that I can play these jobs over and over until I get bored and I needed something new to do😫 I've watched countless videos over and over of people playing no mercy on PC just because I couldn't do it. Same with a whole lot of other stuff as well but I mainly wanted to do no mercy since I was a huge Left 4 Dead fan before payday

There should be no loud only heists. There should be no stealth only heists. There should be only heists that should include both loud and stealth play styles. I disagree with all the prior statements as loud and stealth only cater to a designated designed play style more effort is leaned to appeasing one not both and as a result not compromising design for the other. Players shouldn’t feel forced to play the heist they don’t want to because it invalidates their play style because which applies to both sides. My solution is create a redesign to fit the payday 3 scope as it was initially seen play style exclusive or not then revisit it once the one style is polished. Or just have good quality control…

I don’t think it needs to be that serious or detailed mate, to allow both on every heist you cater for both playstyles. Gatekeeping heists because of people preference is nonsensical. The only reason to ever create an exclusive playstyle per heist is cos of storyline aspect, but I don’t really care about that, just create a different narrative if that’s what it takes to justify the other play style. I enjoy both really, I love loud only like Reservoir Dogs and Stealth only like Shadow Raid. On one hand, dedicating a heist to only one playstyle will alienate a part of the playerbase, but on the other, it allows further resources to be dedicated to one single playstyle, allowing for greater depth and nuance to be added to the heist. PD3's heists are so damn short, I think having a few of these thrown in wouldn't be so bad. Additionally, every single heist catering to both playstyles feels like every single heist is the same, that was one of the reasons I was turned off from PD2's revival era heists, the variety gave forth to copy paste heist structure, even seen with PD3 now, ultimately eliminating variety, with no stand out heists because they all play the same.

The Elephant should have been stealth only missions given he's an elected official. Have it like Election Day; fail day 1, it's loud only. Succeed day 1, it's stealth only.

@@b33croft I dunno if I agree that stealth only sucks. Stealth in 3 is dogshit lol cameras with detection speeds of having a rocket launcher/minigun comically fast. There are things which would make the game so different if ported, like the bank job missions. Being able to jack the keycard from the manager without masking or having it luckily spawn on the table would make it just better by default. I would like both to be optional. There is a certain joy that is had when you stealth firestarters day 1 on DSOD on your own that can never be truly topped! My ideal situation is having the Day 2 reflect the choices made on the first day. Like less guards if stealthed because they never knew you were there. Or faster detection if you did go loud. I can't remember which game does this but I think it might be Desu Ex? I appreciate your response btw. Love the list!
