I met the most amazing woman who remembered my family’s order from over a year before and recited it perfectly. She was a nice 40 year old looking Asian woman with a strong accent but great English. I really respect Asians because they clearly are very sharp and I wish I had that type of mind, they have great food and many of them are amongst the most ingenious people in the world. I apparently have an IQ of 113 according to a psychologist and I honestly doubt it.

I litteraly had the "closing" situation in Hamburg Germany once in a restaurant.. Well before 21.00h (the official closing time) we got there and trying to order some food they were clearly already closing up.. Cleaning, putting chairs on other tables etc, so simular, no joke.. That close to closing I wouldn't trust that burger to be properly cooked if the fryer was only just turned back on. It can take 20 mins to heat up the oil from cold, then another 10 mins to cook something if it's small / thin.

@@emberguard5009 If it's closure time and you just turned it off, it doesn't take that long, the oil is still hot and the boiler (don't know the english name sry lad) too, it just pisses off the cook but we can do it anyway, just a pain in the butt. It's only about 2 or 3 minutes of cooking the meat while the buns are in the oven, it's most of the time the only order left so you can focus on it, assembling everything takes 20 secs, it's not that hard. Just annoying when you started closing everything and be told to put everything back on

I unfortunately had to deal with a similar situation at 22:00 Everyone has either moved away or passed but wanted to go to a place for Christmas like I used to with people. I'm sure they were expecting more people so they gave me a big table. My waiter came by and asked if everyone's late and I said it's just me so they moved me to a proper table haha.

5:50 Reminded me of a time I went to a restraunt with my family, including relatives, near a dozen people, and the waiter took all of the orders verbally and brought them all out right. It was impressive, and we asked about it. I think he had a form of photographic memory, but for verbal instead, but it was years ago, and I wasn't paying much attention to the conversation as a kid.

And unfortunately our manager was a pushover so he just went along with it. Edit: He was a genuinely good boss otherwise though, was very kind to us and made sure we were taken care of, but my lord he was incapable of standing up to abusive customers
