I'd have the urge to slap him if he mishears things as bad as he reads them but sometimes people do it to be a dick and you can't legitimately tell if they're dyslexic . For myself if I try to read quickly I'll jump down like three rows to the same next word and have to back up again so I tend to read the speed outloud I do in my head or I get all mixed up and say one word starting with the end half begin one word opposite the next of the first letter. Which confuses the fuck out of people who are not adhd as hell, any neurotypical folks I run into think I'm on drugs or drunk. Happened a lot in public before I was 18 starting from like 12
