Yeah he's not sponsored by dbrand but his drop tests are shit. No one will smash their expensive phone in the wall or drop it from head heights on purpose. I have grip case on my Pixel 4 XL and never droped a phone since I got it. Guess why? Because this case is what they claim,super grippy. My phone used to slip out of my pocket every time I sit down and with this case never. I don't care about skins customization,this case is really good and not too bulky like Spigen Rugged Armor I had. And I'm not sponsored by Dbrand.

Cuz he was real about the flaws, I just copped the dbrand grip for the 12 pro max and it still drops too low on the sides, not even gonna protect the phone.

Hi there. I'd say that's a great and honest review but I have a couple of questions. First I'd like to ask was that an actual iphone or was it a dummy phone that gutted? And second, do you think its realistic to be throwing your phone against the wall, metal poles and what not? I mean, if I have a $1500 phone, I dont care what type of case you give me, I'm not going to want to find out what happens if launch it against the wall... the beginning of the video was more realistic and I'd say the phone held up pretty well.

Yeah I like the Grip....But the biggest problem is the bumper is horribly glued to the plastic back. My first case separated and they just gave me a second case for free after sending feedback but my second case also started to detach....

Awesome, you just stopped me from buying into the hype! I recently broke the back of my iPhone X and got a dbrand skin to keep all the glass together. Now I want to get a case as I don't trust the skin with another drop. After watching your videos, I am trying to decide between the Mous Limitless 2.0 / Mous Clarity / RhinoShield SolidSuit. Price is not an issue and I see you got codes for both, which I would gladly use :) I have normal sized hands, but the size of the iPhone X was already something to get used to after coming from a 7, so I am hesitant to get a Mous. (Also I cannot switch the case around, as I fear that the skin with all the glass pieces will tear / come loose) Do you have a recommendation?

I wish I could have seen some more practical drop tests with this case. At pocket height, chest height, etc., with examinations of the phone after each test. I would assume that throwing it at brick walls, on metal steps, dividers, and up in the air 10-12 ft would result in a busted phone. I understand how their marketing would make it seem like it’s indestructible, but your average everyday user isn’t just throwing it around like a frisbee.

Buy UAG Monarch. It is quite expensive but considering the eye gouging price of replacement display in modern smartphones, it is solid investment. With Dome glass attached, my phone has survived waist level drop several times.

Thanks for saving my Note10+ from getting damaged. They have sale right now so the case is $15 but I'd rather once again go with Spigen case, it seems. They saved my iPhone 5 and LG G6 many many times, both phones were in great shape after they got replaced.

I wish I saw this video sooner. I purchased a grip, and you can get a better one on amazon. The skins might be worth it if you're into that(I got a skin with the case and I like that). Well hopefully this comment helps some people to not buy the grip, but again the skin is actually pretty good. And when I make some money I might just buy the skin, and put my phone back in my old phone case(which has a clear section on the back).

Mous did the lower middle first. I have both the mous limitless wood and this case. I found the mous to be better as far as holding on to the phone I.e. harder to get in and out. This case seemed more comfortable to hold while gaming. As you’ve shown I’d take the mous over this.

I mean I've not had any issues. I Don't think dbrand aspires to be unbreakable but rather just great. better than lots ive seen. and the newer ones are very good.but I don't think ppl normally drop their phones on the screen. mid way on a ledge . normally it's a corner or face down.

I have an xs and i love their skins. So i bought a rhinoshield bumper case. I had to diy it a bit because on some skins (mostly the older ones that are 1 layered, not the new ones like swarm) the case lifts the skin and bubbles appear. I recommend this setup, especially if you’re willing to diy the rim (which costs like 4$ so if u fuck up your case is fine) shich takes like 10 minutes to do

i dont get what you say about TPU cases being more grippy. I have tried over a dozen of them for each phone I have had over the years, and those clear tpu cases, thin or thick, matte or solid clear hard backs, are way slippery. Personally, I use Tudia Merge case on my phone and fine that to be better for grip than most.

I ordered a used pixel that came with a grip and I agree on the buttons and was also disappointed that it wasn't a bumper case like their first iteration. Got a rhinoshield crashguard now and it's way better, better buttons, and no back.

Thanks God I didnt get the dbrand grip, lucky for me I pre order the s10+ one and they had a delay till July. So with their poor CS email reply with me I just decide to cancel it. I am glad that I got my refund now and went with Mous instead. I am using the Rhinoshield crushguard it is also great for the S10+. I just like to change my case alot but I like a case that is able to with stand bad drops. I am still waiting for my Mous case hopefully it will be as good as my rhinoshield. Great Review!!!! I have put dbrand out of my shopping list forever, I dont even care if it is free. I wont use them after the BS CS email reply from them. Thank you for the discount code for Mous. Just got the dbrand case for my s21 ultra..... Then I watched this video... But it looks friking awesome with the Damascus Holo green skin on it and I don't typically throw my phone at random concrete corners. Plus my phone has gorilla glass Victus on both sides unlike the paper thin glass on the iPhone....

Weird, i have it on my oneplus 6 now, and I really like it. I like the buttons to be a little bit harder to press, to prevent accidental presses. Dropped the phone plenty of times too and haven't had any problems.

I think you should re-review the Pitaka MagCase Pro. They redesigned it for the XS compared to the X, it's much lighter, has better handling, and the sides are way better for thumb swiping.

From iPhone 6s Plus I always get the carbon Evutec case and I still use it in my XS Max and OnePlus 7 pro with no problems. I really can't stand thick cases like these, these phones are designesd to look and feel thin, not to be inside a brick....

Still can’t believe how people screw their phones that much up. It sounds like people are buying phones which are clearly to big for one hand use and that results in dropping. My iPhone X never fell down yet and all I use is the original rubber case for not letting it slip away.

My favourite iPhone was the 5. Good size. Easy to use with one hand. Now I wear a fanny pack to carry my iPhone around.

It's a decent case, but not worth the price and not a go to for me. I use the Apple Silicone cases over it tbh and those are much grippier and obviously perfectly fit. Also overpriced, but worth the money over the Grip. After the first Grip, which had its own set of issues, I was hoping they would do better this time around. But we got less grip and a less unique design.

Your dropping the phone on these pointy surfaces and on an spiky footstep. Like honestly what did you expect obviously it’s gonna break putting it through what you did. How about simply just dropping it on the ground at all these different angles. Head over to everythingapplepro he tests the top 10 best cases out there including mous, Rhinosheild and the d brand grip. And what ya know the d brand grip survives while the others don’t. If your gonna be a case reviewer at least do it properly 👎.
