Hola Sherry I love your content, and you are such a strong badass ultra racer. I would like to hear how this drivetrain set up performs after you have used in in the field. This is a super popular set up these days. My MTB has been a 1X set up for years, and its super nice and the AXS shifting is flawless. All the best to you and keep posting great videos with all the uplifting smiles.
@Buzzalong.cyclingАй бұрын
thank you :) it was the best choice for badlands gave me enough gears for the steep climbs to keep a good cadance and shifting was also great! no problems at all
@peterharrington87092 ай бұрын
Cracking setup Sherry! Worth it?? Well, if you use it for a year or two and then it goes on to have a second life with someone else that will also use it like you (to the max).... then Hell Yeah!! I'd definitely think about where you might protect the frame a bit with the old helicopter tape though.

The 10-44 is good for shorter races like The Trakka 100 or less. But with Bikepacking 10-50 or 52 (why not 52?) is really a very good idea! It looks awesome! 👍I like your cockpit, excellent ideas!

Mullet makes sense for bikepacking. You can run a bigger seatpack. The head tube angle will be steeper, which is beneficial on downhills. You can't really mullet a 29er mtb (bb will be too low, and your rear will have less traction) but gravel bikes are using skinnier tires, so it is a great idea.
@1esk1922 ай бұрын
Gravel Mullet is about gears aka a mix of Mtb and Gravel parts. It has nothing to do with Mtb Mullet

Hola! Delante que plato vas a llevar? Montarias inserto o nube atrás para los pinchazos? Por último cada cuantos km vas a poner cera o lubricante y si es asi cual recomiendas? Gracias Saludos y buen Badlands!
@Buzzalong.cyclingАй бұрын
Hola :) pues delante 38T, no nube solo sealent con llantasTubless. Kilimetros fueron como 300 km con wax y despues Silca synergetic lubricante en la cadena. Gracias

Fidlock bottle mounts are the ideal solution when using a frame bag, especially for riders with small frames. So, apart from sponsorship, why on earth would you move to bottles cages that are going to make getting the bottles in and out much more difficult?
@Buzzalong.cyclingАй бұрын
I have the fidlock one but if you lose them or they break on long races you cannot use other bottles but the specific fidlock one (had one breaking in the past) so thats why i decided to go for the silca bottle cages to use any bottle if needed
@AlbaTech22 күн бұрын
@@Buzzalong.cycling I've never broken or lost a Fidlock bottle in years of use. But I've lost normal bottles from standard cages, that was the reason I moved to Fidlock in the first place.
@Buzzalong.cycling21 күн бұрын
@@AlbaTech I actually broke a Fidlock bottle during a ride last year :( that's why I am a bit more cautious now if I go to remote areas to have a plan B but in general, I agree it is a great system, I have it normally on road bike outside races.
@AlbaTech21 күн бұрын
@@Buzzalong.cycling If I was doing the crazy big rides you do, I would just keep a Fidlock uni connector in my bag. The advantages far outweigh the slim chances of breaking a bottle - especially for someone running a small frame. But each to their own.
