Worth the $350? Traxxas Big Foot BL-2s RC Truck

It’s worth it. Old 2wd stampede used to cost around $250. You getting brushless 2s, extreme hd kit, bigger driveshafts, it’s 4x4 , clipless skeleton cage body that you can remove body and attach the original Bigfoot OG body, wheelie bar, foam tire, chassis upgrade taller longer stronger… that pays for itself and its worth it imo. Everyone so busy comparing Arrma to Traxxas and vice versa we forget the simplicity and fun of rc bashing. I’m picking my Bigfoot 4x4 tomorrow, i got to go out of town because it’s seems to be sold out everywhere. I’m warping it up and putting it under the tree 😁 🎁 🎄 🎅. Buy it and we can’t wait to see your Bigfoot bash video! 😎

They’re so close to being able to put out an actual proper straight axle monster truck with the trx4 platform. Just release it with straight axles and the bigfoot gen 1 body they already make.

I do love that it’s a 4x4, the original Bigfoot stampede 2wd is fun but ya couldn’t really do monster truck things with it.. I dunno if it’s worth it considering you can get a j concepts body and mci decals for any 1/10 truck so 🤷‍♂️

I don’t know if I’d part with $350 for this one. I know part of the price is licensing. And honestly, I have 4 traxxas RC cars with the BL2s system and personally I like them. I’m old school and for me, everything doesn’t have to go 50mph to be fun. The BL2s systems are fun and the motors and ESC’s barely even get warm after running an entire battery pack through them. But, at $350 I just personally think that’s a bit steep. Traxxas is always pricier. I know that. I’ve been buying their RC cars since 1997, along with some Arrma and Losi. But earlier this summer I only paid $429 for the 3s VXL stampede. It’s a tough little truck that would smoke the doors off this Bigfoot. 😂 It still looks awesome. And if you grab one and do a review, I’m definitely tuning in.

@@OGRCFanatic I’m right with you on this, decades in the hobby and have a few bl2s and for what they’re for they’re perfect. And like me I’m sure you have plenty of all the other brands too. So many would try to label us as traxxas fanboys.

@ Right? I’m an RC hobby fanboy. 😂 I have about 10 traxxas vehicles, 4 being older nitro models. Some as recent as the XRT, 3s VXL Stampede, and some 2wd BL2s models, and a mini, the Teton. I have 6 Arrmas. Most are 1/10 and 1/8 scale, the Mojave 4s, outcast 4s, Gorgon, 3s Granite, the 6s notorious, and one mini, the granite Grom. And I have about 9 Losi. A few of those very recent. 5 are the 1/36 micros from 2007-2008, a mini LMT Sonuva digger (last Christmas) and a mini JRX2, (just a few days ago) and a few older nitro models. I’ve just been in love with this hobby since I was a kid. If I like something and the price fits my budget, I buy it. If I don’t like it, I simply don’t buy it. Life’s too short for such trivial things as posting negative comments that I hate this, or hate that. I’m an adult. I act like one. Well, most of the time anyway 🤣🤣 If I’m not a fan of a certain brand or model of RC, I look for a video of something I am a fan of. It’s really that simple.

There's a different one i saw that looked about the same but had a hard body on it. Other than that it probably had about the same performance. It was a New Bright brand at Walmart. Wanna say it was priced closer to its actual worth than this at about $40.

I would like to see a review on it myself. I’m debating because of the cost. But a review would be helpful. One of the other comments said $350 is a lot for a $200 rc, which is true with the Traxxas Tax. Especially since no matter what anybody says l, it’s most likely going to end up a shelf queen.

I think this one is priced right. It's basically a Stampede 4x4 BL2S with a licensed body for $20 more. I do wish they'd used the earlier Bigfoot body because I think it looks better than the 1985 style one. But overall, it looks great, and I know a lot of people had been asking for a 4x4 version of the Bigfoot monster truck.

You're just proving the Stampede is also over priced. Just slightly less so than this. $350 today will get you a lot more RC than this.

Looks so good but the old bigfoot had a way more detailed Body. This got a lot of Stickers instead. The Price is high but don’t forget you Pay also for the bigfoot license. Bob chandler the owner of the real bigfoot also wants some Money out of each sale. LMT Mini is also way Overdrived because of the Monster Jam license

Im trying to see it from Traxxas standpoint. They try to keep local hobby shops supplied for many years on a platform. A lot of premium cars leave the market in short order and parts leave with them shortly after. You will have better chances of longevity of a product with Traxxas. Thats worth a few extra dollars and 3rd party parts seem to flourish for their cars.

I regret paying $329 for the first 2WD Bigfoot!?!? Flips instantly and didn't come with a wheelie bar. Trax is always overpriced. Thank you!

This is another big miss for traxxas, while they have the ability to make a new and innovative monster truck(LMT fighter) They make a lifted slash again but make it a 4x4, I'd rather spend the extra scratch on a LMT.
