I have 40 hours on my SS 250 and love it. I think the Scorpion is very similar to the raker. Scorpion even matched the variable ports like the raker

Thanks for the great video Jake. Your explanations of the Suzuki motor was enlightening. Since my older Optimax has given up the ghost, I hope to be repowering my older Champion with a much newer and improved engine hopefully someday in the not so distant future. My biggest issue now is coming up with the $ to be able to make that happen. I hope to be able to give you a call sometime soon so I can maybe have you answer some of my lingering questions about possible next steps I should be looking at. Bob Payseno Btw-that was a great finish you had on the Columbia River/Umatilla BAM Tournament! I hope to be able to watch some more previous shows where you most likely whacked on them also!👍🏻😊

A 27P Croxton Razor XL is a pretty good prop as well for the 250SS. I run one of my Bass Cat/250SS combo and get just as good top end with it.

I have a Stingray Hydrofoil Classic II on my smaller boat with a 60hp and the ride difference is incredible. It’s probably the fix for some of these bigger bass boat hulls, but nobody wants to install one.

How much slower is the Suzuki vs a Yamaha or Mercury? I’ve heard 3-5mph?

the v-8 merc cowl sucks badly also -- way too heavy!
