Steakhouse 71 Dinner in Disney's Contemporary Resort at Walt Disney World | Disney Dining Review

Tonight, we are headed for a steak dinner at a place we have been wanting to try for the actual steaks for quite a while - Steakhouse 71. Located on the ground floor in Disney's Contemporary Resort, this is a fantastic location to enjoy a great meal as it is just a short walk from the Magic Kingdom in Walt Disney World. We love the breakfast here and the lunch is pretty good too. Will dinner blow them both away? Only one way to find out....Enjoy!

We’ve eaten at Steakhouse 71 quite a few times and we tend to agree with you: Breakfast - Chef’s Kiss and reasonable cost-wise Lunch - Generally very good and a great way to take a break from MK Dinner - Essentially morphs into an overpriced Denny’s

My sister and I both had the French 71 cocktail when we were there and it was fantastic, we count down the days we can have it again. We just sit in the lounge though.

We had dinner there 2 years ago and we were unimpressed too - and also found everything including the steaks to be oversalted!!! One and done for us.

Love this honest review! 3.5 was generous for the food. I won't go there for dinner, but maybe for lunch for that wedge salad and the burger! I love your channel, and I listen to the podcast too. Yall did it wrong. The pork chop is the best thing on the menu. They put a garlic butter sauce on it that you will lick the plate when you are done.

We went on the first night of our trip and my husband and son both got the strip steak and felt it was a lesser quality than something you can get at Chili’s. My daughter loved the vegetable Wellington and I thought the prime rib was good. But I think you’re right about lowering your expectations. I think we will try Shula’s on the next trip.

Great review!! I avoid the standard steakhouses. I buy Prime steaks only and I can prepare steaks better than most restaurants I go to, since I’m typically never ordering a plain steak. My fave on-site is Shula because it has a better more high end atmosphere and they prepare some steak dishes I’m less likely to make at home ie Steak Diane, even though Steak au poivre isn’t on the menu they’ve always made it when I ask.

I don't agree with you. I enjoyed my dinner there. Just went back there for lunch. I liked dinner better. Maybe it was the meat cut you chose. I had the sirloin with the wonderful mac and cheese.

Thanks for the review! My fiancé would rather go to Le cellier shulas or yachtsman where you can get good quality steaks, doesn’t seem worth it to go here to him

While it pains me to agree (we visited for dinner just after SH71 first opened and it was AWESOME...then), Dinner is at best hit or miss. Over salting is most definitely an issue. Also have to agree on the noise level...although the last time we visited our table contributed to the loud :( Fortunately, I to agree with the fact that breakfast is much much better.

We always say no added salt - we find most of the Disney food to be too salty. Does not stop us from eating yummy food.
