this is a great idea for when you need to drill and drive without having to change out bits so the lack of a belt clip is just mindboggling

I realize this is an older video and I already own this drill. I was looking for reviews on other Worx tools and this popped up. I do a lot of work out in the field (literally, in fields) as a professional Apiarist (beekeeper) and I have to frequently repair or build equipment like hives, stands, fences, etc... on the spot. In this situation, this drill has been immensely useful and I also wish it had a belt clip.

I have the Axis saw, that bends 90 degrees, it's a great tool. The only problem is that it has only one battery and a slow charger. So, i bought the switch srew driver and by the price of ONE battery and half i've got now 2 batteries and a second charger, plus the swrewdriver.... Now i have 3 batteries, 2 chargers and 2 great power tools.... It couldn't be better!!!

Hey Javier, I previously checked out some of your reviews here and there regarding the miter saws, band saws and brad nailers and I gotta say that you can execute some pretty thorough reviews!! This was an item on my wish list so my husband picked one up for me last week and it's going to be a companion side kick to my Kreg pocket hole jig. BTW, another great review -- thanks! Its a great idea I don't know why they didn't take it a step further and make several angled places for bits so that you could put multiple bits in. The you could have the option of having many bits ready to switch or not having any.

great video Javier, seems like a good tool, I like the positive "click" when you spun the bit changer so you feel like its definitely engaged, theres some good design features on this drill and Ive always been a fan of Worx ever since I purchased one of their semi automatic drivers as a gift for my father-in-law and then I went and bough one for myself just to throw in the kitchen drawer...my only gripe would be the slow charger but for the price its a good tool, definitely useful for repetitive drilling and fastening, cheers bro!
@ToolCraze8 жыл бұрын
+TheBearuk1 thanks bro. Looks like they put a lot of thought into this little gadget. The slow charger is to be expected for the price point considering it comes with 2 batteries. I didn't make a fuss over the charger because for it's intended audience (homeowner) it should be fine since it has 2 batteries.

Great review! Thanks! I just picked one of these guys up. I was worried the drill bit assembly would easily move out of place when force is applied but it looks like they have a good locking mechanism. I also love how the battery can be easily used with other Worx tools.

Seems like the perfect cabinet install drill, I have to drag 2, 12V Milwaukee drills around to every cabinet so being a weak 20 V is actually good for me, but only has a 5hr charger? That seems unreasonable !! If this thing even just lasted a year at a time it would be worth it

Works is missing the boat for tool enthusiasts. They are offering one cheap tool to replace two. Tool guys won't buy this as it (at least in theory) eliminates the need to buy more tools which is what it's all about. Great job on the video, especially the fall off the ladder, but now I know I don't have to pick up a works tool to have a look the next time I see one.

You can use your round drill bits with this tool. You will need to purchase an additional chuck with a 1/4" hex shank with a keyed chuck but, you would still be possibly limited in diameter bit you can use.

@ToolCraze8 жыл бұрын
+Nazario Arroyo thanks Nazario, the fact that this doesn't use round shank bits, isn't necessarily a negative as there is a huge selection of drilling bits with hex shanks. It's a negative if you already have a huge collection of round shank bits and have to switch them all over to the hex shanks

how about comparing the real pain and cost in discovering that the 2 in one switch driver, (maybe others of theirs, not sure) will NOT take YOUR standard DRILL BITS! Most have an investment in our bits! Not going to go and buy all new bits. REALLY WORX? that is a big deal to me. I am sure others did not realize this also. if it does take a converter, TAKES AWAY COMPLETELY from fast and easy! one of the main reasons i got it. very disappointed over this. there are some out there that does. Seems like you would have included something easy with for this issue vs it going back to store over it, like i most likely am doing. the drill it self is great. Just not going to go out and now buy all new bits for it. no way. And the whole purpose i got this was for the easy and fast reason.

The Worx max torque is 265 in-lbs. That's extremely low for a 20V tool. There are many 12V cordless drills that have higher torque ratings.

come on man. ive told you this before... stop exporting your audio track as stereo... we do NOT want to hear your voice drifting between left and right on speakers or headphones.. its very unprofessional. convert your audio (speech) to a mono track to fix the problem. nice video but the audio is killing me.. put headphones on and listen to yourself.
@ToolCraze8 жыл бұрын
+illestmuzik I've looked into my editing software switching the audio to mono and either it's not there or it's buried under all of its menu settings. I will say I'm working on a new solution with a new microphone system. You guys may not have noticed but I've tried out 3 new different mics - all mono but had to take them all back due to wireless issues and audio quality and return to the one I currently use. All were expensive $400+ systems and I expected better audio. I'm working on finding a new mic system
@illestmuzik8 жыл бұрын
+Tool Craze the mic you have is perfectly fine honestly. and as far as converting it to mono... that is something that doesnt even have to be done inside of your video editing software and can be done in free software such as audacity or and DAW. you dont have to buy a mono mic, you can still use stereo ones im just saying it should be very easy to make it mono. again im not hating on your videos just helping you fix this problem. if you want you can let me know on what you use to record audio and what format / setup and video software and ill tell you how to make it mono in any software. also again most people dont know that software is key in high end, you dont always need a high end $1k dollar mics when you can use software to make a $100 mic sound like a $500 one. its like taking a photo and not editing it... that photo wont pop until its processed. software can process your mic in real time or you can do it afterwards in post. so dont go looking for a stupid $$$ mic when you have everything you need.
@ToolCraze8 жыл бұрын
+illestmuzik I have audio editing software that came bundled with my video editing software but I need a solution that fixes the issues I have through hardware. The reason I don't use the software because that adds more work. I already have a full plate. I need to lesson my load not add to it. If you seen all the work that went into editing each video, you'd freak out and probably say forget it. So I need a solution that requires no extra effort. I also need a wireless mic because, its simply too much of a hassle being tethered to my camera and having to connect and disconnect is a pain. A new wireless system, fixes my wired to the camera issues and also all the user audio complaints I get without adding post processing waste of time.
