Finally got my tree branches cut using my new saw kzbin.infoUgkx84IcU5pbZd1Qrz8u4-YRLmJax7kdRi7B , and it was effortless. Then tackled taking pallets apart by just cutting through the nails. Zip Zip, like butter, took no time at all! Absolutely love that you just push a button to change the blade, so quick and easy. I chose cordless because of all the outside projects I need to do, and most are too far to extend an extension cord to. Incredibly lightweight, and easy to handle. I will be using this all the time. There is a reason they call them Sawzalls , because they literally saw all the things you need cut. Once you buy one you'll kick yourself for not doing it sooner ~ Just make sure and buy the right blades for the job you want to tackle. The blades are not expensive, and there are lots of various multi-packs available.

The thing i like about the WORX brand is that they listen to their customers. They now have 20v batteries with power indicators on the back. Most of my tools are WORX, and since all the ones I own use the same type of batteries, it makes it easier to keep working with the tool you need. It may be mostly a DIYer's brand, but to me it's one of the best and most affordable!

I bought one.... I needed a saw in general for woodworking. Most of my lumber is cut at the store due to having a small car so I didnt really need a circular saw. I went with this because I also needed a reciprocating. I have used it just a little as a jig saw but I just finished cutting down 8 overgrown evergreen trees. My brother in law had previously lent me his dewalt, but this is a good pound lighter. When you are using it for 4 hours as a time, that one pound makes a difference. Did have to change the battery once, but I have lots due to keeping worx as my sole brand of tools. I am not doing construction but small just around the house stuff.... couldnt be happier And I am not paid or compensated to say any of this.

@@MarkThomasBuilder I am a new homeowner and never had tools.... I started with the hydroshot and weed eater. I havent used either much yet due to buying at the end of fall. I also bought the impact driver and drill driver both of which I have used a tad. Also have the blower (air) that came with all the attachments. I buy all of them with the battery even though they share because it is more expensive to buy the battery seperate. Since mostly I will be a piddler, i think I will never have to buy a battery... Btw, while I was in the process of thinking whether the axis would be good for me or not, I did watch this video. It is what more or less was the deciding factor.

The only thing I can add to an already good video is that sometimes you were doing things on the tool and it wasn't in frame. Saying that, as a 70 year old grandmother who bought this just to destroy some old stuff so it would fit in the dumpster I learned how to operate it from your video. I have also had zero experience working with this type tool. Super easy to use and I completed my job with only one charge. I did way more than 8 cuts and longer cuts also. Cut 3 cabinets into smaller pieces and 2 old deck chairs. They are now gone to the dump. Thanks.

I love mine. It’s a great handy pruning tool I use for our orchard on limbs. I’m also a retired contractor but I still work daily around our house. We live in a wooded area and it comes in handy for limb and fall cutting up to 4-5” diameter. There is definitely a difference in the 1-2 position for different materials. Trial and error will quickly show you this. But it’s worth it to see what it does with different material. Well worth the price! 👍🏼

Just purchased this tool from Amazon.. great price. The manual that came with it was not too helpful but I was pretty much able to figure out everything, except the pivot switch on my own. This video was great! I should have watched it before purchasing as it would have made me more confident in buying it initially. I already have several Worx tools a drill, leaf blower and grass trimmer and the batteries are all interchangeable. Two of them are 5 years old so they last. Your suggestion for a charge indicator is a good one. It's always amused me how suddenly these tools, especially the blower, just stop without really losing power before.

The technology of Li-ion batteries if for it to run nearly full power and then suddenly quit. THe older style NiCd batteries gradually slow down and don't have the same full power run-time. It took me a little while to get used to the new style.

Well done. Worx has this now for $75. My only criticism is you didn’t address that despite it having a built-in blower, there was so much debris from your 2X6 cuts that you had to stall and use your lungs to blow it away every 3 seconds. Obviously Worx engineers didn’t optimize its blower fan’s capacity for any situation. Perhaps they, like automotive mfr. planners, left that as a future model improvement claim. Cutting a 4X4 post or 2X4’s will likely not be as dust free and nicely clean as their ads imply. Plywood jig projects would I’m sure be as they claim. And yes, the battery should have a gauge system. When my 20v Worx trimmer runs out of juice, the lithium’s don’t just slow and die, they stop suddenly with no warning... almost always mid-job. Surprise. It would be even more annoying while doing a wood cutting project. One other thing is that the tool should be available at an even lower price for those of us that already own their 20v tools, and don’t need an extra charger to have to pack away somewhere and never use. Interestingly, on one image of the main ad, it points at the battery and mentions a “run-time indicator”; nowhere else can I find more information related to that, nor do I see such an animal in their pix of the battery. There certainly isn’t such an animal on my 20v trimmer’s battery.
@MarkThomasBuilder5 жыл бұрын
You're right, the blower could use a new model upgrade. The nature of lithium-ion is considered an improvement, because it gives you nearly full power the whole way through, right till the end. I agree though, it's frustrating when it suddenly dies, unlike the former ni-cad style, where you get a slow down warning. I keep the Axis around my workbench within arms reach, because I often need it for small wood cutting tasks. It's very handy and portable.

Rockwell should make a version of this for their lineup. They had a 12V model a few years ago but at 12V the batts didn't last long. It was handy but it needed the 20V for a little extra power/run time. Or make the batteries interchangeable between the worx and the rockwell, problem solved.

for a tool that i'm going to only use few times a year, is it necessary to be cordless? wouldn't the battery life drain over time? thank you.
@MarkThomasBuilder6 жыл бұрын
I keep mine on the shelf and grab it for random tasks. The battery seems to last a long time. It's nice that I don't need to drag around a cord.

I prefer corded tools anyday. It can only cut straight as a jigsaw cause blade too big to do round cuts..needs to accepy smaller blades as a jigsaw cause its not a real jigsaw if cant do round cuts

I'm going to test it today and see if different blades make a difference. I'll let you know.

@@MarkThomasBuilder its basic observation. Just look at any jigsaw, the blades are small..if blades are big like a sawsall it just cant make round cuts

No good for someone in the trades, works good for a cut or 2 every so often but when u need to make lots of cuts it is no good for more than 4/5 before she wants to give out, great idea just need dewalt or milwaukee to give it legit power rather than black and decker power

he battery is advertised to last around 4 hrs on full charge. It appears that lasts only 20min. Couldn't contact them by phone. After numerous attempts and been on hold for over an hr gave up. Tried the live chat online. It turned out the its not a chat, but it takes massages. Got an email couples of days later. It stated the my message have been sent to Brand Ambassador. Got an email a few days later suggesting to charge the battery between 12-24hrs in order to get over 1 hr performance. Meanwhile the charger stops charging after 4hrs. Good product, false advertisements. Non existence support and warranty and refund.

I had just ordered the Worx Axis last night and because of this review, I am happy that I purchased it. I also saw another review where a hacksaw blade was inserted into the Worx Axis to cut a screw. The cut was a flush cut made possible because of the flexible hacksaw blade. That makes it into a 3 tool item in my opinion. kzbin.info/www/bejne/mHa4gZKvm5WXj7s Please delete if posting the link is not cool with you.
