I like learning about my city.... I am going to watch the ones I have not seen yet tonight. I am always pleasantly surprised...

249 s. Davis Ave, the corner of davis and Cherry Alley. Born and raised in the "bottoms" late 70s through 80s. Unique cant even begin to describe our neighborhood. So blessed to have been born there. Now a south Carolinian. Sunshine park, sullivant elementary, bellows, mount carmel west, UDF....sullivant ave, sauder, Rich St, central point, cooper stadium...on and on....nothing but memories

There was also the flood in 1959 in Franklinton when the levy broke. I lived on Hayden Ave. then.

Columbus is lucky to have someone like this making videos like this. Great resource for such a small city.

Columbus is the 14th most populated city in all of the United States. It's not small, geographically or population wise.
@StandStrong614 Жыл бұрын
It is the 13th biggest city in America now. I have been all over America and anybody that thinks Columbus is small doesn't get out much.

Ruined by the 5 second commercials placed mid sentence at various points, not thought out at all.. very disappointing

They kept advertising about the Deardurff house as though it was a main feature of the episode.... it had less than 2 mins on screen and then they never returned to it. What was the point of advertising that they were going to be talking about the Deardurff house and then do practically nothing about it.
@JennRighter4 жыл бұрын
Where did they advertise this? They didn't do so here on KZbin. The title is Columbus Neighborhoods: Downtown & Franklinton. Nothing to do with the Deardurff house.

Stolen land
@JennRighter4 жыл бұрын
Be specific. You watched this hour long video and that's the response you have? Who stole what land? Be real. Go find a place where "stolen land" doesn't exist. I'll wait. Look absolutely everywhere and try to find any land anywhere that hasn't been "stolen". Also, where do YOU live??? On stolen land? Where were you raised? On stolen land? Yeah.
@LoveAimshigh3 жыл бұрын
Exactly deff STOLEN LAND!!😂😂😂
@StandStrong614 Жыл бұрын
All land is stolen land fool. Name one place in the world that hasn't been stolen at one point or another. I bet you feel like you really stuck it to the man by typing that, though, lol.

What downtown? There isn't anything in downtown Columbus other than a lot of ugly modern glass buildings.

Downtown Columbus has always fascinated me with all the wide open spaces it used to have, unlike Pittsburgh or Philadelphia!
