You mentioned Leica so I'll say that my Leica m11P won't fit in the small pouch but it does fit in the large one nicely with a 28mm 2.8 Elmarit, but my x100VI fits in the Medium pouch with a hood, it's a bit snug but it does fit.

Thanks for your input - it will be useful for others to know this info :-)

@@AlphaCreativeSkills Sorry I should clarify, that my x100VI fits inside the Medium pouch, not the small. I'll correct above.

@@AlphaCreativeSkills Question about the Mini Rider you're using, will it fit a Sony a7rv with a 24-70mm? I enjoy your reviews also.
@AlphaCreativeSkills3 ай бұрын
I haven’t used the mini-rider for my full sized cameras. The mini-rider is a great looking bag and I often use the 12L rider for my travels overseas but the chunky top zip could pose a scratching risk when taking out a camera if it was a tight fit.

I am looking for the smallest pouch possible for my a7cr with smallrig base plate and attached lens, the sigma 24mm 3.5. Looks like that medium pouch is the way to go?
@AlphaCreativeSkills8 ай бұрын
Height and width of the medium pouch would accommodate an A7CR with base plate but the depth is a problem for anything other than a pancake lens. The Pilot 2L is required to accommodate the setup you have listed.

@@AlphaCreativeSkills thanks Mark. Getting the 2L when it’s in stock.

Pouches inside meticulously designed camera bags the epitome of creating a solution to a problem which don’t exist.

Very small lenses will roll around in an any sized camera bag (even if the bag has dividers) - so how dow you prevent this from happening? I even had to add a velcro divider in the portable pouch so I could carry two small compacts without them rubbing together. When selling my camera gear I advertise it as being in 'Mint Condition' because of the meticulous way I carry my gear.

Mark Galer pretty well sums it up. The real issue is judicicious use and planning. Too many people just buy impetuously and start putting things in multiple pouches without much thought. We see this over and over with EDC bags and luggage. Workflow planning in the field and in transit is just as important as workflow in the office or home.

Thanks for providing new videos from Wotancraft gear Mark! I just came back from my Portugal-trip and I loved my new Pilot 7L! Perfekt for my A7IV with the 20-70 f4 and the 35 f1.4 plus some small items like batteries. Wotancraft is not easy to purchase in Germany but ordering directly in the official store is easy and fast. Was not my last purchase as I thought about smaller pouches to keep stuff together. Especially for my backpack. Cheers, Marcus
