I disagree. A Tank Destroyer by definition should be able to “destroy” heavies. These heavies can shoot the Ho Ri easily and you have 800-1,000 less HP and no turret.

if you understand the game and the history of tank destroyers, you should understand that a tank destroyer is not supposed to be front-lined... In real history there are trade-offs to mounting a big cannon with tons of recoil and longer range.

I have to disagree with this. There are so meny tanks now in the game with huge hull down capabilities and the ho ri helps dealing with them and the campers who just sit in one spot where no one can pen.

this tank is good agaisnt the annoying hull down meta, it balances out. It has the same assignment as arty on PC, until arty got nerfed into hell quite recently. Believe me, you wan't a tank like the Ho-Ri in the game, the meta gets so trash otherwise

This tank destroyer is not confusing. it is a great tank. It helps get those tanks that have tough armor. It has great accuracy and pen. It is very mobile. When you don't get spotted this tank is a beast and it has troll armor. it became one of my favorite TDs once i acquired it.

The ho-ri is in blueprints, the tier 8 ho-ri is called in the bluprints as Ho-ri 2, the Ho-ri T.II is also on blueprints, and the Ho-ri T.III blueprints were made at the same time when the Chi-ri was still being built and hasnt been on prototype stage, and there was another Ho-ri td on blueprints, but the source that showed that Ho-ri was outdated so it never was implemented to the game, I think it was good they didnt add that 4th Ho-ri because it was planned with the most powerful gun on the japanese arsenal, which could penetrate in blitz, 330mm of armor with standard ammo, gold ammo, 400 and no cali

I think most of the other TDs have more advanced ammunition type than the Grille 15 like say APDS or whatever and well HEAT doesn't scale off of how long a gun's barrel is

Droodles, the JgPz E100 has 415mm Penetration with gold and calibrated shells, with a decent armor. Thats a really good mix.

@@gamreer4341 that's true, jagero's HEAT has the highest pen in the game (with calibrated shells ofc), the problem is that HEAT doesn't go through tracks and spaced armor or even obstacles while AP does, that's what makes Ho-Ri a little bit op

@@y5fireflyschannel384 Well, the 57 has 2 big advantages..the side armor and the 1s faster interclip..However the side armor honestly Isn't that big of a deal on the 50b as long as you turn your hull towards the enemy and at the front both Actually have kinda similar armor profiles a weak turret and a super strong hull soo not that big of a deal there but the 50b's sheer mobility makes it better imo since it makes up for the lack of side armor and 1s slower interclip as well as having a bigger turret

However do note if you angle the 50b's turret enough Anything will bounce off in a hulldown position but this is at angled upward of 90° and the frontal hull of the 50b is alot stronger

@@Maxiie_TM its like this: jg 415 with cali hori 399 with cali jg have heat hori have ap ap have 5° shell normalization, heat have 0° what that means is, ap bends during penetration increasing its effectivness ( reducing amount of armour it has to pen ) heat just goes in straight line what that means is bassicaly that hori have better effective ( actual in battle ) penetration and it can pen angled armour more easyly hope that helps and sry for my whack english

I don't understand why you complain about the ho ri yes I know it's been penetrating through all the tank but I haven't difficulty penetrating through the German heavies and Russian heavies with the ho ri. The only tank is ruin the fun is fv215b 183 with the high damage all most hitting 2k damage that is the only tank that is ruining the fun not the ho ri. I ask for this tank as will and I glad that wargaming have it under Japanese lines cuz Japanese have noting op or good tank there. Why does the Ho-ri type 3 exists? I would say because the Japanese was getting desperate when the US gets closer to Japan, so they tried to make a strong artillery carrier to defend their homeland. It never was made due to the dropping of the atomic bombs. And of course Wargaming stumbled upon the blueprints and decides yep this tank will be in our game and will be a menace.
