WOTLK - Warlock Pre-BiS Guide - An In depth overview for ALL specs w/ many options for Pre BiS.

Hello my friends. After a long awaited time and many requests, here’s the Warlock Pre BiS video. This has taken me awhile to do because 1, I didn’t want to just give you all an 80s upgrade and tell you its BiS because it’s much more complex than that. OFC you can just follow the 80’s found on WoWhead or here and you’ll be absolutely pumping. And for those that just want a general guideline for that reason, this video will start with a couple different 80’s upgrades. However for those looking for more information, options and gearing look no further. This video will have it all. I’ll show a couple 80’s upgrades, then I’ll go over each armor slot and show you a few options for those that like a little bit of variance in their gearing. Hope you all enjoy

2nd this! I am playing aff and never know if I should use inferno or the doomguard or just keep felhunter. I have seen different aff locks do different things. I am also a new player and could use the extra breakdown.

I feel like all 3 spec are at a tie in term of single taget DPS for phase 1 so idk which one to choose. I feel like going demo and destro because aff is going to be played for most other phase as it gets even better so i feel like having another gameplay early is better for overall game enjoyement.

TBH Phase 1 if you're the Demo support lock then ofc do that. but if not, I'd go Destro for all of phase 1. Since its so close and even better on a handful of boss fights. Plus once Ulduar comes out, you'll be stuck beign aff forever

Spirit ring off last boss in DTK should be a solid option for demo right? 52spirit 51sp

I personally found Ring of Northern Tears to sim the highest. It has great stats, a lot of hit and a blue socket with 4 hit bonus. So with this ring and 3/3 Suppression I have exactly 14.06% hit. Two epics with either Wand of the San’layn or hit gems simmed 10-20 dps less.

Very nice video, I have posted a few times in the warlock discord and never seemed to get a proper answer. Are you building a set for trash damage. I played demo from 70-80 and blowing up trash was so fun. Do you think its viable to play demo on trash and affiction on bosses? I also havent seen anything about a seed set or trash set. Given the fact that seeds base damage is so high and our sets are carrying so much hit, are you planning on building a set for trash?

im using veiled monarch topaz on my red sockets to have more hit rating while having spell power is it too bad to do that ? and missing 10 sp for 8 hit rating when im 7% hit rating

Hey man love the content, just had a question when I drain soul do I have to wait for the target to be at or under 25% to start the cast or can i start it preemptively if i know i dont have time for another sb?

Specifically I mean to obtain the bonus 4 times dmg from drain soul does the target have to be in that threshold at the start of the cast or will it do the dmg if i start the cast before the threshold?

You must Drain Soul once the target is 24.9% Health to get the X4 dmg

How do you utilize your 4-set best? It feels so damaging if you have to lifetap every 10 sec

You do not Tap every 10. It's pretty much just a fat buff you get wheneve ryou do tap. Howver I do force tap before I drain as Aff. Also as Demo just becuae you can get a free tap in while your last SB is in the air and you're waiting for that to connect to give you Decimation

Brewfest trinket is horrible. It's on par with Icon of the Silver Crescent from TBC. We didn't get the WOTLK Brewfest trinket sadly. Otherwise that's be oppppp

For Hybrid I'd go more of Destro side. The Spirit, while important, is not as important sicne you're not supporting thre raid with Demonic Pact.

I don’t see why the Spellthread enchants wouldn’t be in the game right off the bat. You should be able to buy them off the AH as soon as players get their Tailoring to 400.

i am comfused...i play warlock atm and i dont get the GS system... i am almost 200 ilvl just need one ring to hit 200 ilvl but my GS is like 3.4k i got all my gear from HC dung and everyone for Raid ask for 4k GS how is possible to get 4k GS if HC dung drops 200 lvl items ?

Youre better off finding a guild to raid with man. Pugs asking for 4k gear score is stupid. At 4k gearscore you dont need much of the gear from naxx
