To be fair, the older disney princesses and female characters were like...flower pots. Pretty to look at but kinda empty. Let's take Sleeping Beauty for example. There are still people today that think we should just be pretty and not do much, follow the rules men and society have set. I feel Meet the Robinsons has a predestination paradox because at the beginning of the film, Louis’s mother hears a noise and goes to investigate, then someone unknown knocks at the orphanage door. Later, when Wilbur and Louis are watching Louis’s mother giving up Louis at the orphanage, Louis makes the noise that she hears, then he knocks on the orphanage door.

Let's say you have to travel in time to prevent something from happening, but as you change time you accidentally cause what you were supposed to prevent from the start. My mother had 11 siblings and my father has 8. My great grandfather on my mother's side re married when his first wife died. He's got atleast five children from that marriage. Saying I have a big family is a big understatement. To not stress over on who's my first cousin, my second cousin, my aunts, and my uncles are. I just call the relatives whose age is closer to my mom's my aunts and uncles and if they're closer to my age my cousins. But when I explain to strangers that my cousin isn't actually my cousin she's technically my aunt but I call her cousin to make it easier for my brain and my Aunt is technically my second cousin I can't just bother to keep a track on their accurate relationship to me is a massive headache.

I didn't know it was called "Meet the Robisons", in Spanish is called " La Familia del Futuro" which translates to "The Family from the Future", I honestly think it's a cooler name for the movie. This movie is definitely my favourite Disney movie ever, it's fun to watch, it has an entertaining plot twist, cool futuristic scenarios I had never imagine before as a kid, and overall gives us a lot of feelings and inspires hope by teaching us a lot of life lessons which I can still apply to my life, it's simply a beautiful, emotional and fun movie, with a well-though clever storyline. I honestly didn't realise how underrated it is till now.

This movie is underrated as heck! My favorite part of the movie was after the battle with the T-Rex, Franny went to check on Wilbur and Lewis and she’s glad to see they’re both ok, Lewis brags about he and Wilbur took down the dinosaur while Franny is busy smothering Wilbur with hugs and kisses, but while bragging, he accidentally calls Franny, “Mom.” Lewis realizes what he said and feels completely embarrassed, but Franny forgives him and gives him a hug and a kiss on the cheek, come on, if you didn’t go, “Aww” at that moment, you have no soul, that’s probably the first time Lewis ever felt a mom’s love, being hugged and kissed by Franny, and not to mention Franny wanted to adopt Lewis the moment she met him and saw him as a son, ( Until his cover was blown of course ) However, we later find out Lewis is actually Wilbur’s dad, that means Lewis got a kiss from his future wife before he even met her in the past, so, doesn’t that technically make it a Disney kiss? ( I feel so bad saying that due to the age difference in that scene ) XD

The Robinson family has always been one of the most relatable families to me and i can draw a lot of parallels to my family irl. Crazy Sunday Italian dinners at my grandparents house, Frank Sinatra playing in the background, lots of relatives i can't keep track of who's related to who sometimes, the creepy uncle who looked a scary amount like future Goob. Petunia and Billie: same, assuming they were already married to Fritz and Joe. If not, probably when they started dating their respective husbands. (All assuming there was a real Petunia at some point). Lazlo and Tallulah: If they were born yet, they would probably be very young and he would meet them with Fritz and Petunia. If not, he met them the day they were born or shortly after. Gaston and Art: Probably shortly after he started getting to know Franny a bit more. Spike and Dimitri: ????? Wilbur: Well, when a Lewis and a Franny love each other very much . . .

I always kind of loved the subtle misdirection the movie uses to hide certain characters in the past and future so you don't figure it out. In the past you only really interact with Lucille and don't see Bud until the end, but in the future you only interact with Bud and Lucille is largely a background character and you don't get enough of her personality to put it together. Franny is a bit more on the nose, carrying her box of frogs and acting like a stern mother to Wilbur, but it's such a quick joke that you don't even think about it while you're interacting with Future Franny.

Great video! You transmit all your love and passion for this movie 😄 This has been my favourite movie since I was eleven years, more or less :') Now, I still love it, along with Treasure Planet and Interstellar (my three favourite movies, I guess), and it's crazy, because I know that Meet the Robinsons and Treasure Planet are not as known as Frozen, for example, but they mean a lot to me, and I can't even imagine who I would be if I hadn't been such in love with these movies, specially with Meet the Robinsons. Every time I didn't want to study Maths, Science and all these kind of subjects, I remembered Meet the Robinsons (and Treasure Planet) and I watched the movie to encourage me. I ended up having fun with scientific subjects and I was very interested and motivated because of the movie. I became the best student in Physics, Maths and Chemistry (a subject I almost hated), too xd And this is just one of the ways Meet the Robinsons has... If I had to come up with an explanation for the whole Billie inconsistency, my guess is that Bud is just much, MUCH older than his other two brothers, and Billie does seem like the type who would poke fun of someone for their age, and jokingly calls him "grandpa."

I am sorry but I feel like Franny and Louis would adopt some kids down the line! Just to give that family love to someone else that needs it! I would TOTALLY watch a sequel where Wilbur goes on a mission to find himself some partners in crime like his younger dad was. A vast exploration to find kids from different timelines to fit his checklist of what he wants in a sibling or siblings only to settle on 2 kids who stow away on his hunt for siblings. Only to get a duo that pushes his buttons with a mission of their own just for them to care for him and he to care about them... That would make me cry...I gotta go make fan art excuse me while I doodle cuteness.

I think one of the reasons why the movie didn't succeed as much as it deserved to was because the title is kind of meh. I remember being in 6th grade and hearing that Disney was going to release a new movie, getting excited then losing interest when I found out it was called "meet the robinsons". Obviously, I judged a book by its cover but I was a kid, and kids are generally shallow lol. I watched the movie three years later and it became my favorite Disney film. Wished I watched it when it released, but hey, keep moving forward.
