The real question is, what consistency would a pool ball-sized Earth have? Would it collapse under its own weight?

If it were shrunk, it’d be super strong. If it were modeled as close as can be using normal materials, no.

@@nope1904 You've misunderstood the premise, the idea is to model the Earth at the size of a pool ball, not to cram the entire mass of Earth into that size of an object.

I can think of a couple of other problems. The net density of Earth (~5.5 g/cm3) is about 3.2 times the density of a billiard ball (1.7 g/cm3). The liquid core would probably change things too.

Some golf balls have liquid cores and they’re designed that way.

Question though, did they measure the whole ball or is it possible they got an unusually smooth square millimeter? Like I assume the boarders of the numbers are not as smooth as the larger areas of similar color.
