I haven’t known Akamoto for long, but it’s so incredibly cool idea of this unyielding undead general using war tactics to kill a god of death. If you ever do that every indie character goes to the land of old faith at the same time idea, it would be amazing imagining Akamoto using each of these character's skills to permanently kill the lamb.

My brother, idk if u beat dead cells completely, but the Beheaded is a fuckin terrible person. 5 BC Spoilers ahead. It turns out the Beheaded is the King who ruled the island, and boy he was an ass. When the Malaise became a problem, he imprisoned and executed anyone showing symptoms, regardless of age. He burned so many people that the ashes choked out the prisoners on the island. He also let his personal scientist experiment on the infected, leading to horrible perversions of innocent people. He was so hated that the townspeople of the island defiled his statues. Alright, maybe he did all this to stop the Malaise right? No cost too great? Hell no. The Alchemist ends up finding a cure for the Malaise, and the Beheaded kills him to take the potion for himself. Twice, even after the Time Keeper told him he was fucking up. Then when that doesn’t work, he tries to leave the island, which would spread the Malaise, damn anyone who tries to stop him, including his wife. His moments of “empathy” are nothing more than pity, and he is definitely one of the worst people I’ve ever played as. Also as I explained in your previous vid, the Beheaded has some serious feats to him, so I think he could beat the lamb. Maybe.

This isn't an argument just something to make you chuckle: I don't think you can transmog a dream so if the lamb was hit with a dream nail it Would be an endless battle with the knight. Just something fun to think about.

Another argument avout the transmog for the knight specifically, the shadelord is made of tens of thousands of siblings, so unless the yransmog has no cooldow or can transmog tens of thousands of creatures at once then the shadelord can just outlast the lamb because if constantly fighting then how would the lamb indoctrinate new followers to stop the 3 day count down, all the shadelord has to do is just fight the lamb constantly and eventually the lamb wont have any more followers to save it

there is a bonus after story for skull of the shogun. no he does not have cosmic powers. but he is a F tone more powerful. though his wife showed up. hunted him down on an island that prevent the hole respawn thing and loss. no he did not die. they hooked up and she stoll his hat. so double trouble.

Here's a funny character hack. If you don't count the lamb as a boss, Issac can also use the d10 which turns enemies into weaker ones. transmoging them into something fightable. Which potentially lets Issac circumvent fighting the lamb in its godlike form entirely. just a thought.

We actually do see shape changing resistances with the knight. Or more specifically the vessels in general. The infection, the thing you’re fighting against in game, causes yellow growths and unnatural mutations after infecting a bug. Now I point to the knight, the hollow knights brother whom he shares ability and nature with, most things the HK can do so can the knight. The HK was sealed in the black egg with the radiance sealed within for an unspecified amount of time, but we know it was LONG. Yet when we fight the knight, comparing him to his PV look, almost nothing has changed. And we know the supernatural changes happen relatively quickly, after you obtain the monarch wings (or kill a dreamer) the bugs in the forgotten crossroads grow larger, or gain the orange pustules shown in highly infected bugs. Yet we only begin seeing these pustules after we weaken the knight, an imperfect vessel. Furthermore, we know focusing soul (for non higher beings) deforms both mind and body as seen with the failures in the soul sanctum. So all higher beings (which the knight is most definitely one, being the child of the pale king, white lady and the void, even in the higher echelons if consider the shade lord), have some sort of form changing resistance. If the lamb weakens the knight enough it may be able to affect its form as seen in the hollow knight fight, but I’m fairly sure it isn’t an instant win button. But hey if I’m wrong, correct me.

Another point is that im pretty sure that the transmogrify only works on one creature at a time but the shadelord is tens of thousands if siblings so it would take quite a while to turn all of them into spiders, and seeing there leader an almight god struggle so much would almost certainly make dissenters become much more frequent so all the knight has to do in shadelord form is stall and eventually all the lambs followers will either die or disse t and then because the lamb is fighting the knight they wont be able to recruit new followers.

9:39 As someone who has done a deep dive into Dead Cells, you clearly haven't seen the true ending for that game, so here is some info on that: It is discovered that the beheaded is the original king, and at the end, the king, having assumed his original form and dooms the world he is from, all he laments about is that he had more fun going through the buildings, killing the creatures, aka his FORMER SUBJECTS, than sitting there on a throne. That's the personality of the beheaded.

A fun one for a potential part 3 could be Hat Kid. I don't think she'd win in a fight but the only question I'd have is could she go back in time via time pieces to before the lamb became the death god and stop him from being executed? Therefore making it so the lamb doesn't become a death god. I know this would require her to know that the lamb was once just a lamb and not a death God, so maybe she figures that out through one of the books in a time rift or something. As for her motivation to do this, you could just say one of her time pieces fell into the lamb's camp and so she wants it back, but the lamb would most likely want to keep it like most the other characters in a hat in time once he realizes what it can do. Lastly, it's been a while since I last played it, but I'm pretty sure the Snatcher stole her soul once and she seemed mostly fine, so why not again?

Time rifts happen when it falls on one of the npc's head it's on the lore, so for one to know about when the lamb was executed, it'd have to be an survivor or an Bishop or even the lamb, so no it'd not work well

Similar to how you can't pick whatever weapon/curse you want on a crusade is because that's not how rouge-likes work, you can't have an item or attack that just instantly guarantied kills the boss because a boss is not supposed to be something that's killed faster than a goomba in a Mario game

Actually beast boy could be the only one to transform back because of raven and mumbo jumbo in the old 2003 teen titans cartoon. Raven turned beast boy from a fly to a rat, then he reconverted back to himself while mumbo tried to turn him into a cartoon animal, but he reverted back to himself, so mumbo turned him into a lamp that could shapeshift, but only into inanimate objects. If that's the ruling for shapeshifters that's a good one. So if the shapeshifter can transform into that creature, then revert back they can, but if it's something new or not part of their arsenal, they can't

One argument I want to throw out there for discussion's sake with The Beheaded are two canonical fights that may allow us to up his power level; the Castlevania DLC. In the DLC, the beheaded fights both Death and Dracula from the Castlevania franchise. It doesn't change the fact that The Beheaded can't kill them permanently, so he still can't beat the Lamb, but he CAN take on these extremely powerful foes and beat them at some portion of their power. And Castlevania Dracula is basically a god in his own right, at least according to the Ganondorf vs. Dracula Death Battle. I may be wrong about this, and if I am, I am fine taking the L on this, but I figured that it could be interesting to discuss.

If the author ever read this i actually think about some protagonist that could actually have a chance at surviving the cult of the lamb and even the lamb himself. May I introduce you to the Epic Battle Fantasy crew, 5 characters made by Matt Rozsak. A series of indi RPG were the protagonist get incredibly strong and end up fighting their gods. They have plenty of hacks like revival, transformation protection, super strength and healing capabilities, and with certain equipments they can even resist mind fuckery. Honestly if they go in max strengt i dont think they wipe the floor but i do think they will kill the bishops one by one or maybe worse capture them. (Is a mechanic that they can capture enemies and summon them on their own side)

A few ideas Nobody (Nobody Saves the World) He can definitely survive transmogrification, it's everything else that might give him trouble The Princess (Slay the Princess) She seems to change based on how you perceive her, meaning that she would likely arrive on the island as The Damsel or something similar. She remains like this for a while until one day she shrugs off a grievous injury, maybe she gets disemboweled or has to chew her own hand off, all with a smile on her face and no sign of pain.The rumor mill would start churning, people would start seeing her as more powerful and badass which would make her more powerful and badass and things would proceed to snowball from there. It all depends on how far and in what direction she snowballs in, The Razor or The Eye Of The Needle likely couldn't defeat the bishops but they would be fun fights I definitely want to play. The Specter and The Wraith would be sucked up by the Lamb. The Fury might not give anyone the chance to try anything. The Nightmare can be killed but if she becomes The Moment Of Clarity then nothing can stop her. The Apotheosis is so powerful that if by some miracle she is taken down there might not be an island anymore, luckily with The Tower proclaiming herself a god would likely draw some attention. Finally The Shifting Mound herself, the only reason we can kill her in game is because she lets us kill her, she wouldn't give that option to anyone on the island. I don't even see her coming to the island, just sending Princesses down as avatars while she is safe in a higher realm. And about Transmogrification, it might effect lesser Princesses but The Shifting Mound is the god of change she likely knows enough about the topic to simply say no to the spell or at least change back. Monarch (Project Wingman) because seeing The Lamb fight a modern military is funny Death (Have A Nice Death) I admittedly don't know much about this guy but the thought of two gods of death fighting tickles me

having Death from "have a nice death" would really be a fun idea cus i dont think death will be having any problems except for occasional fight cus cultists attack anyone on sight. Hell, how fun would it be if death meets lamb and gives him some pointers on how to be a better god! One hiccup may be that death would disagree with lambs more selfish means of doing his duty as a new god of death, but to be honest he has his own corporation to worry about and i dont think he needs or wwants any more responcibilities. I think he'll just be having a vacay on lands of old faith.

hey, i got some suggestions for interesting characters for these kinds of survive the other franchise type deals! - Frisk from undertale, on a genocide run (from my understanding a pure glass cannon, can kill anyone in one hit assuming they can't revive) - henry stickmin (i think it would be funny, also he repeatedly manifests object into being to solve his problems so you could argue he's pretty powerful) - the terraria main character (haven't had any sandbox style characters in these videos, and you go through some crazy shit in terraria) - any of the slay the spire characters (I'm super interested how you would translate card type moves into how they would act in these scenarios, do they just have access to all the abilities the cards give?) - and any of the slugcats from rain world (they aren't very powerful, but they get a surprising amount done in their games despite that, interested to speculate how far they could get)

The terraria main charocter would absolutly destroy the entire island, they can fly with at least a large citys amount of weight on them, have acces to weapona that can blow up huge areas is seconds, can move at incredible speeds, can tellaport to any point they wish as long as its in range and they can even spam this ability, can survive miniature nukes. And many other feats of strength and durability.

I horridly doubt that they would beat the lamb, but I do like the idea of one character in particular from Enter the Gungeon setting up a "Vacation Home" to probably test out more of his wicked gun creations for shits and giggles. The Gunslinger. (Debatable if we want to bring in his lich form into play since those are two separate beings) What'll be funnier is if the Lamb eventually learned from defeating the Gunslinger and had his crown give him a new weapon form of the Gun.

Huge spoilers for dead cells don’t read this unless you’ve actually beaten it. It’s great game worth playing. In the ending of the queen of the sea he is shown to kill the queen and turn on the lighthouse, knowing full well that will lead to the malaise spreading and infecting the rest of the world, but he still does it without even a second thought. In the true ending where you possess the kings body and take the panacea for yourself. You sit on the throne, drinking glass of wine doing absolutely nothing to try and help the people dying of the malaise. In the lore of the game you are the king and you are shown to repeatedly act in your own interest, disregarding the lives of your subjects. Well, yes, in some of the lore rooms you seem remorseful about the death of people you still do nothing to change it. It is shown in each of the true endings the reason you try to escape prison is not to fight the injustice of the island which you caused, but instead to find a cure for the malaise and keep it for yourself or to escape the island and leave everyone to die well also spreading the malaise to the surrounding kingdoms.

I think a very interesting one would be frisk from undertale. They have no moral compass and act based on their whims shown by how they have canonically gone through many pacifist and no-mercy runs. In-game you fight and dodge using your soul and while it seems implied that the fights are really physical, I think that it is still your soul being hurt as well as your body since you level up in game and lore by by your soul getting stronger from the violence you’ve committed. It’s also said in lore that humans defeated monsters due to the strength of their souls. All that to say that I think it’s possible that they’d be resistant to the soul manipulation of the lamb. Meanwhile we’ve seen frisk destroy monster souls. (Though this is likely due to the soul lacking a living body rather than any direct action of frisk) plus the lamb couldn’t just destroy their soul regardless because that’d immediately trigger a reset. it’s been implied through dialog with flowey that the timeline can only be taken by someone with a greater determination. I don’t think the lamb could counter this through their timestop, nor could frisk stop the lambs time-stop. Speaking of determination I know you don’t think will can resist the mind control, but you’ve said yourself that it’s not exactly mind control. And that they may be able to resist if they were able to fight their own mind. And I think their determination would be perfect for that. All-in-all I think the most likely scenario would be an endless battle. Unless they flat out erase the timeline which I’m not sure they can do without chara, frisk can’t kill the lamb. And likewise I don’t think the lamb could stop them resetting.

17:01 while it is true that if he was just powerless before eating the skulls of all the bisops he wouldnt be more powerfull than the lamb, its not clear if his own power he already had would make up the difference, it might not be enough to out right beat the lamb, but it would make it significantly more possible, and if they do team up, it would make sense that eventually the lamb would make a mistake and get martyred and then maybe it could be found out where the lamb respawns, and then if the lamb just gets spawn canped and dosent get the chance to use its hacks before getting "killed" all he would have to do is stall out like that untill the lambs followers leave. And because the shogun guy(i forgot his name) is clearly quite smart and would look for an opportunity to kill the lamb while also physically being domonant, i think this outcomeis fairly likely

How many bishop skulls equal 1 lamb? 7:41 generally because shapeshifters are immune to those effects, notable example being anything with 'shapechanger' from dnd being immune to it. also to note, the knight is at least resistant to biological manipulation, which is what the transmorph is, resistant is important because while the lamb can use that on any normal enemy, the fact that it CAN be resisted means that assuming it works on the knight is just... kinda dumb, since the knight is resistant at bare minimum, not to mention that being transformed wouldn't stop the knight from just... coming back, because them respawning is canon to HK. One reason the knight is resistant/immune to that because he has no soul, it's that way because it is made of void, a non-living goo sort of thing, no soul, no mind. Killing the cultist would be easy, and it's not likely even the lamb could resurrect them since the knights attacks kill the soul itself, not just the body, which calls into question if the lamb could even resurrect if THEIR soul gets destroyed, if not then it's one and done, something the lamb definitely isn't prepped for, but if not then the knight can still hold the lamb in them as a vessel should until the lambs 3 days to get more cultists are up, transmorph not working on the knight because of his either resistance or immunity, the only time the knight is transformed is willingly via the charm, otherwise he resists it. The reason for the morphing not working is that taking soul that which does not belong to you in HK and using it on yourself, as the knight can ONLY do, causes things to morph into basically melted beings, the soul master being the only one that didn't aside from the knight, therefor he at bare minimum has resistance to it, which is only resistance since the charm, which is a willing thing they choose to do as noted on the charm, so really it is more likely to be full on immunity.

@@folmhaigh039 I agree that the knight at minimum has resistance but it is still a little gray, but what is much less of a gray area in my oppinion is that in game the shadelord is shown as tens of thousands of separate siblings, and the knight then joined the collective form, and even as a whole and just one creature it would multiple the resistance as well.

Characters like Akamoto makes me kinda want to see more charisma based and/or faction adjecent characters in this survival series. A popular indie inclusion for the former could be Frisk whom despite being kinda weak, is effectively unkillable due to Determination and has the social skills to befriend all kinds of people, plus there is the dynamic with the Chara personality and how that could interact with the cultists and dieties. Whereas for the latter, I once again would like to nominate the main Blaster Master duo Jason & Eve, partly just cause it's fun to imagine the cultists deal with a jumping tank.... But also cause I think Eve as the Mutant Queen could be an interesting opponent with her dimensional domains and purifying influence.

The knight has shown resistance to biological transformation because the use if soul will horribly deform most people who try to use it, see the follys in game, and that the i fection normally creates huge griwths and yet the hollow knight, a worse version of the knight, has only sloght biological deformations despite being the container for a LONG TIME, its not quite confirmed how long but it is a long time. So while the knight might bot be entirly immune(which i highly doubt) it will at least take ages to actually do anything, AND because it would have no immidiat effect we could assume the la.b would stip teying because it would look like the knight is compleatly immune. Not to mention that the shade lord form is made up of tens of thousands of siblings so the knoght could hust stall that way as well. And then because the lamb is to busy fighting the knight the lamb wont have time to indoctrinate new followers and eventually die

The Hollow Knight can also come back and kill the shade, so if you kill the knight and the shade subsequently after, the knight would still exist and killing him would create a new shade, making the knight immortal

I recently checked out part 1 again after doing some research and i actually think skul could actually beat the bishops as one of the skull he has can make a massive meteor fall from the sky that is a insane amount of force which i honestly think only the lamb and the one who waits could actually survive.

Also this comment will be discussing the gigantification of the one who waits I believe his max hight was shown in the bossfight against the lamb and not the trailer becaeuse I don't think he would hold back against the lamb in his boss fight when he was close to being defeated. Now for the trailer size could be more of a metaphore where is using the lamb as his "messiah" so to speak or the fact that there his influince is the greatest. This is what I believe about his size

Hello, i made the point about 2 gods of the dead! And, honestly, i did forget that the monk shrines and monks themselfs work for the gods, and akamoto and other shoguns just borrow em, so uh WHOOPS. My bad! I forgor cus games old. Buut i have one thought regarding the skull eating thing, mainly how it gives a boost. I suspect its not powerstealing but enhancing ones abilities, since afformentioned monks do drop their own skulls, and wwhenever someone eats them they upgrade the same if they eaten a skull of a soldier. So despite how many soldiers and monks Akamoto can raise using the resources he has, and having the best soldiers they can ever be, the gap between bishops and lamb is just too great. Btw, please continue doing what YOU wanna do! i certainly wont be mad about it, so you do you! Have fun.

Also also, some other notes: doesnt transmog turn "one random enemy" into a critter? I think if someone had a vendetta against lamb and has enough grey matter in their noggins, they can just lead lamb over some random cultists camps whenever they try to use it so they have a decent chance to not get blasted into a squirrel. **cough** hollow knight **cough**

I heard the part of people claiming "Oh if they get changed into this thing, they can change back." And to me it kind of sounds like some tabletop RPG stuff where Shapechanging has you resist Polymorph effects or that you can undo it. Or that if you die while Shapechanged you just revert back. But I'm just pondering aloud as to how people concluded such a claim. Personally I have zero stakes in this. I have played most of the games you've mentioned and I just enjoy the thought provoking aspects and simply accept it because at the end of the day it's your view and interpretation. The only thing I feel is proper to do is to speak up if something is factually inaccurate and, rather than say "You're wrong." the ideal approach is "But I thought..." or similar and thus open a rational discussion. This is what differs a fan from a fanboy...the latter is blinded by their obsession.

In case you do part 3 and choose to involve the Undertale guess I gave a few times.Question for Transmog I heard you say it affects physical bodies skills abilites items equipment etc but what about souls? Is there any evidence to say it alters souls? If not then couldnt Frisk/Chara from Undertale [yes depsite its size undertale is a indie game] use their soul power to Save Load or Reset the Timeline to avoid losing that way. Also all attacks in undertale go striaght to their soul and even Asierl [Infinite Atk] couldnt kill them when they didnt allow it. As such wouldnt Lambs soul hacks be useless since if it brakes somehow they reset is he captures it they reset etc I havent checked cause I have bad luck but with the right F.U.N value you can go to the void and say hi to Gaster. If someone with better luck gets that could you test it for me and see if you can Load or Reset out of the Void if so other dimensions cant trap them. Other key notes that could make it interesting it is said in lore that Boss Monsters whos soul linger can have their soul absorbed by humans considering some of the monsters are sentient amphmorphic animals like they are in Cult of the Lamb wouldnt they technically be considered monsters and those with strong souls that can persist even temporary after death be able to be absorbed lore wise? Theres even evidence that they could maintain this energy past resets since Chara who hitches a ride with Frisk did so at the start and is coninically there even after the resets. Also its been a while but im not sure if there is anything Lore wise that says L.O.V would be the max which means they might become even higher L.O.V which they used L.O.V to destroy the Universe/Timeline and then remake it.
