"Jekkadians weren't corrupted by argent" Hell , as well as it's energies, is an absolute extension of Davoth. Davoth was locked up in hell... My previous comments provide the excerpt that says exactly that. The part saying that Davoth corrupted hell aka jekkad is written by the seraphs. It's literally the title of the codex entry. Bruh. And hugo said that besides the father and davith having their roles majorly swapped, everything else in those entries is true.

Tbh I have to disagree with the Hell stuff and how it relates to Christian theology/cosmology. Doom's lore may not support Christian theology, but it doesn't contradict it either. Hugo Martin himself stated that there are higher beings beyond even Davoth in an official developer stream hosted by Doom Eternal's publisher. Do these beings include God and Heaven? I don't know, but it's possible. It's also my headcanon. Which obviously isn't the same as real canon, but it's still POSSIBLE.

Additionally, if you're basing the whole "demon" thing off of everyone who calls them "demons" being biased and/or religioius fanatics, keep in mind that the UAC in Doom 2016 (who you describe as scientists) also call them "demons." And as for time, people usually argue that characters like Doomguy with this "infinite/immeasurable" speed type stuff move so fast that they experience time in a non-linear fashion, as you yourself acknowledge. Doomguy literally travels from the past to the future during his lifetime, which you also acknowledge. Also, "winging across creation" indicates that they actually flew across creation rather than just teleporting. After all, I don't say that I "walked from my house all the way to Washington, D.C." if I actually just flew on a jet most of the way. We've never actually seen maykrs or Davoth teleport either, their method of covering large distances offscreen is never explicitly shown. Fortunately though, as pointed out above, none of this is a big deal and none of it changes the fact that Hell sweeps these shooter universes.

Ok so here's one for ya Assuming that wolfenstien and doom are still the same universe, as referenced by characters, designss, dialogue etc. BJ is an ancestor to doom guy BJ fought the cyberdemon and is thr reason for its cybernetics, cyberdemon vowed revenge on BJs descendant i.e. doom guy. Doomguy can empower his weapons with will. Advanced human society weapons, let alone 1940s erar weapons, can't really harm even weaker demons. How can BJ defeat the cyberdemon? Or are BJ and doomguy one in the same, almost like a reincarnation, so there is always a doomguy presant for when the demons eventually show up

Its not that people expect them to fight fair, its that pitting two universes against eachother in a fight when things are so one sided generally isn't interesting. I mean, at that point you might as well just pit the warhammer 40k universe against our modern day IRL universe. In sports we have weight classes and different leagues because if a 140 pound high school student had to wrestle Andre the giant you'd get the shortest, least entertaining fight anyone's ever seen. Hell the entire fight would probably be short enough to be captured in a gif

@@rougarabid Thats fair, but it would be nice to see a universe take on the DOOM invasion that could actually handle it fairly well like the Destiny or 40k universe. I mean, when you're pitting one team with universe ending threats against another team that doesn't have anything of that magnitude, the question of how long they'll last is answered by however long it takes the demon's to hit the "I win" button. Like, we could see how long the modern militaries of earth would last against the empire from starwars and we could even discuss how effective our guns would be against stormtrooper armor, it doesn't really matter too much when the death star is looming overhead ready to vaporize everyone at a moments notice. As much of a fan of Borderlands as I am, a vault hunter being able to kill a hell knight doesnt really matter when the demons can just open with the icon of sin and win the fight in a couple hours. I will say that your point of someone like tyreen possibly just joining the demons is interesting and Id love to see a video on something like a teamup between the doom universe and another universe. Like, how would the doom slayer do against the demons if he had the borderlands universe helping him. Since we know that the doom slayer is doing pretty good with fairly little help from the regular people in his universe (because they've been mostly wiped out), how would an army of loader bots sway his battle against the demons or even an army of spartans from halo. Like the same scenario you presented but with the doom slayer teaming up with the forces of whatever universe is in question. Since we know the doom slayer is capable of handling the bigger threats, the matchup of loader bot vs imp or vault hunter vs hell knight would actually matter since the slayer would be able to take on the icon while your more standard demons are busy with the loaders/bandits/vault hunters

*Jekkad isn't a planet* Well technically, the Lore kinda heavily implied it to be the planet and universe. Davoth's Kingdom capital is called Immora so, it being the capital is out of the picture. Kinda vague but it's likely either the universe or the entire Universe AND it's timeline. (Cuz ID kinda... Slammed their games together, and you know how Quake is with their Megaverse shenanigans, which would imply that the realms are either Universe or Multiverse.) Plus the Maykr's being the technically assigned guardians of these timelines doesn't make the Realm of Jekkad being just a planet really convincing, plus with Davoth making them into a perfect society kinda undermines the fact that he _just_ gave them one planet, making it unbelievable that Jekkad is not a space-fairing race. It clarifies it. Let me explain: The Maykr's are able to see everything. Yet they need to create a machine to guess who is the destroyer. Which is the fishy part of the codex entry, and why I guessed correctly that Doom guy IS a singular entity. Why does the Khan need to build the Divinity Machine to FIND a foreseen threat that she can just look at the future of who that is herself? Well, it's simply because this is a being that she cannot find. This is also the unanswered question that I have before TAG 2 was released: How did she foresee the coming of the Destroyer? The answer is in part 8 of the Book of the Seraph's. "But now the Dark Lord whispers lies and deceptions about the Father to his praying minions in Hell, while he rages, trapped in the Tomb of Souls. For even without a physical form, *_gods may yet influence the realms._* " Davoth gave her those visions. A vision of another Primeval, one that he knows that is in Hell, of whom he purposely more than likely sent to Argent D'nurr and orchestrated Doom Guy's rise to power. Which is the reason why VEGA said that he was also made by Davoth after the Davoth boss fight. Davoth created/orchestrated the Legend of the Doomslayer.

Getting killed by a demon doesn't always get your soul sent to hell and turned into a demon: The sentinel spirits we see in 2016 and eternal are just fine even though codex said they were killed by demons. Also, the ending of Doom 2 says bad people do get sent to hell.

We don’t know why Sentinels aren’t sent to hell it’s yet to be explained. It’s likely due to Wraiths protecting them. False. It says “You wonder where folks will go when you die now” doesn’t mention bad people and is talking specifically about Doomguy’s thoughts. Thoughts from a guy who just saw his first demon a day or 2 prior and doesn’t understand what demons even are yet. Not a factual statement by an all knowing narrator.

If this was via portals then neither the maykrs bor the slayer would be called time walkers Or the like. We also have the Seraphs who are directly stated to have flown throughout all of creation to do the father's bidding, meaning they had to be fast enough in raw speed to traverse entire multiverses. When we first meet the physical seraphim, samuel literally teleports from his holdings to the ship. This is before he regained his wings and was infused with the father's essence while undergoing transfiguration.

"winged through creation" not "walked through portals through creation." "winged" means "flew." Book of Seraphs was indeed rewritten to hide the truth about the Father's usurping of Davoth's true role as creator, but the other stuff it says is still canon. The entire concept of "primevals" is completely exclusive to the Book of Seraphs yet game director Hugo Martin himself as well as pretty much everyone in the community including you accept it as canon. I have another shooter hero that could go on the list and that is Cole Macgrath from Infamous. Hear me out his games have his electric powers as part of the third person shooter stuff like you could shoot out electric grenades as well grenades, take cover, use his multiple different lightning bolts and electric Rockets as projectiles and etc. he fits the Shooter description. There are also two coles you can use, good cole and evil cole (who has the power of the Beast in the second game’s bad ending). I also want to see how his ability to Bio Leech people will affect Demons with Argent Energy

my personal theory is that Doom 1 and 2's doomguy is same person as doomslayer (which he is according to lore) but doom 1 and 2 were completely different timelines than doom 2016+eternal (alternate reality), however. Hell is one, Doom 3 is another complete different timeline with it's own doomslayer. There was a theory that Doom 3's final mission has a sarcophagus which might be the doomslayer as the sarcophagus decribes it as "martian hero". Basically there are multiple doom timelines but our main hero is doomslayer with probably few variants of different doomslayers (like doom 3) who aren't as strong as our doomslayer since he is the original one. Most of timelines are probably conquered by demons because of argent energy boost they have gotten.

I should also point out that the earth he goes to in 2016 and the original one is from two different ones. This was explained and when the first game came out that he goes to a different earth also being invaded because there’s universes so there’s multiple earths.

One thing I always thought about the timeline (could be wrong) was that while the Slayer is on mars in his Coffin, Doomguy has just been stationed on Mars, and tye events of DOOM 1 and 2 are happening mere hours before The Slayer wakes up, which is why in 2016 you get to the Icons arena and it's dead, because Past Doomguy was already just here a little while ago, but went another way and got sucked back in time to Argent D'Nur, while The Slayer carried on to The Well, making the timeline a time loop until the end of TAG2 where The Slayer kills Davoth

It can be calculated. You just don’t know the number. That’s a big difference. I mean shit in many universes just going over lightspeed can have you travel through time. Other universes the exact speed isn’t given. Doesn’t mean it’s infinite. And no Pi is smaller than 4 because pi is 3 and 4 is 4. Neither number is infinite they are decimals that are describing a point so specific that the decimals end has never been fully calculated but neither is infinite. 5 is greater than both. How is 5, a pretty small number bigger than infinity? It’s not. Pi isn’t infinite. Nothing is.

Also above light speed travels through time yes, immeasurable speed can, as the maykrs do, travel through creation/universes via how fast they are, you need a bit more than just bending time for that, aka people think that because of that feat doomguy is faster than time, and faster than time is a speed that cannot be calculated because, their is no way we can calculate that, however that does not make it an infinite number, I don’t know why we call it infinite, as it really isn’t and also I dont know why I just said traveling through time as that isn’t the full story because faster than light bends time, that does not mean it is faster than time or that said speed can move without time.

personally i would like to see you redo some of the universes vs a realistic doom invasion some day, to see which ones could survive the "first wave" but at the same time even if they do beat back the demons at first hell would just come back with a second round of even more powerful demons so even if they do beat the demon's "first wave" they'd still have to go up against the stronger and more powerful demons in the end so they'd likely still get wrecked but it would be nice to know if the universes could at least survive the first "round" of the invasion

I like to interpret infinite speed as the character having no limit to how much they can accelerate. Like how a car can only accelerate 200 MPH, the character does not have that limit. Now when two characters with infinite speed fight, it really only comes down to who can accelerate faster.

However, the power set of the set of all integers (2^ℤ) is the same size as the set of all real numbers (ℝ), and both of them are bigger than the size of all integers (ℤ). Both of them have a size/cardinality of aleph-1. This was discovered by mathematicians, not pseudo-intellectual scalers. Vsauce made a pretty fun video explaining this. If you believe that the continuum hypothesis is false, there might even be many higher infinities in-between, which may explain how an infinite being might just barely defeat another infinite being, or how an infinitely-fast being might be just a bit faster than another infinitely-fast being.

If you were to expand this series to not shooter franchises, which franchise do you feel have the best shot to fight off the invasion? I personally would say that, if the pokedex is at all accurate, Pokemon would have a better shot than most of the franchises you have posted so far. I mean, if the average Gardevoir could create small black holes, than the Heavy Demons would have a very hard time going up against the average Ace Trainer, let alone the Gym Leaders, which is cannon to be holding back in their fights. And that's not counting the Legendaries and Mythicals. So, that would be an interesting match-up for the Demons to try and take over.

When you measure the actual size of things, you use cardinal numbers, and the largest cardinal is aleph null. There is no bigger concept. It is the biggest. Cardinal numbers are what is used in real science, and therefore things like speed can only be below infinite in size, or theoretically infinite if you want to be adventurous. This is also why dimensional scaling is stupid because more dimensions is basically just a range hax, there's not more stuff in 5D than there is in 4D, no matter how many dimensions you still only have "aleph null" amount of things, if even depending on the exact circumstances and concepts.

I have a few theories. Real world answer: My guess is the Cacodemon is already blood red color and the blue blood was a better fit for the gore. In lore reason: It could be due to it’s relation to the Pain Elemental who has blue insides due to creating Lost Souls and their Soul energy being shown as a similar bluish color but that’s just a guess. Another and even more likely possibility is found in the Lore. The Cacodemons are implied heavily to be pieces of a long dead powerful demon who raged across Hell long before the start of the series. It’s said they heavily resemble him and the question is brought up if “He still exists in some form”. It’s possible that due to them being pieces of a Demon that existed more than several billion years ago their blood color matches that of the ancient species but not the modern demon species. Honestly I like that theory the best.

Faster than time is not a thing. Einstein believed that if one were to go faster than light they would go back in time. This isn’t infinite. We can calculate lightspeed. Some universes make this speed faster or don’t say how fast it is but it’s ALWAYS calculable. Not knowing doesn’t mean infinite.

Bit of real science and some... Eldritch theory for you... Real science: Surface of the sun is about 10,000F on average. Core of the sun is about 27,000,000F. Temperature of a bolt of lightning is about 20-60,000F. temperature of a quasar is about 72,000,000,000,000F(theoretical). Reading extremely high temperatures especially in atmosphere can be extremely inconsistent as while something can be extremely hot its effective thermal impact on the surroundings can extremely low depending on the energy density. That scientist saying the imp's fireballs are hotter then existence can get to is almost certainly laughably inaccurate and a proper peer review would likely easily contradict it. Even if the core of the bolt is that hot it may be a simple case of a single particle of power at its hottest point. How hot can that get? 2.55×10^32 F also known as absolute hot. At that temperature the laws of physics breakdown, and is also the temperature of a Planck particle. But of course this is argent energy fueled magic so lets step into the dark and learn a possibility. The idea that they can exist within hell and display great unfathomable power makes sense as hell is their homeland and saturated in the stuff that they are made of. However, that goes out the window as soon as they leave hell. I'm not saying they are weak outside of hell, just the power they use becomes a lot more limited once they depart. Think of it as your soul in a realm of souls is god-like as instead of tapping into your pool of radiant essence you can interact with the stuff around you to reshape reality and interact with it versus use your own specific pool. The best observation of this comes from the Cyberdemon Boss fight. Specifically, in the first stage you defeat it by pulling out its power tank of argent energy at which point it promptly collapses unable to keep itself running in the real world without that supplemental supply. Luckily for it, shortly after Doom Guy is pulled into hell right afterwards where the Cyberdemon doesn't need that supplemental energy and is able to begin using more of its powers as well as effecting the environment with magic. In hell, doom guy cant depower it because it has vastly more power to pull from the environment, instead he overtaxes its ability to channel power in a battle of wills manifested as physical combat and once it is vulnerable finishes it with an attack that disperses its essences via destruction of its avatars vulnerable head. This was a real battle in the real world using normal physics for the most part and the Cyberdemon's avatar in the real world had to follow the rules of the form it took. It foolishly kept the same form when Doom Guy ended up in hell and as a result kept the real world vulnerabilities that came along with it. Ultimately this suggests in hell demons are much more powerful then when they aren't in hell, and their magic can account for many of the superior performance points they have but outside of hell theirs only so much they can sustain while there. This is where their biggest weakness lies, to stay powerful they need gates open at all times to keep their existence in contact with our own and a steady supply of that energy flowing or they will find themselves suddenly limited to what the physics of our reality permit and what lingering power their form can sustain in our own(which obviously can be a lot with the more powerful beings). Obviously most of their shells are crafted using magic powered enhancement so that can be a lot but the fact that the Cyberdemon drops like a load of bricks when his power cell was yoinked shows that should they lose contact a steady supply they will find themselves on borrowed time. On the assumption that their bodies are formed via solidified magic like the various argent weapons this translates to in the absence of a steady flow their bodies must ration the argent energy within or find themselves unable to attack, unable to survive or both. Stronger enemies would naturally have more argent energy reservoirs and the magics used to create their shells would be built stronger to accommodate. This implies that their bodies are less durable then they appear because while they can withstand the insane power of argent energy its because the same reality warping magic that enables an imps fireball to not instantly kill and scorch everything within miles when it enters existence may be be applied to control how the argent energy interacts with the matter of their bodies. There's a obscene amount of space between particles, it may be they use magic to keep argent energy out of contact with the vulnerable fleshy bits while channeling that magic energy to improve physical performance when they need to during attacks. This could imply that during attacks they pump more of that power contained within for feats of strength and power but surely do not constantly burn that power when not needed, like an body builder able to lift 800 pounds but also able to throttle themselves to not crush a water bottle when they pick it up. Essentially, apparent power scaling can be wildly inaccurate whenever magic is at play because clever use of magic could cause a reading to be off the scale when in reality the instrument is fundamentally incapable of understanding the result presented to it. I can throw a fireball ten times the surface temperature of the sun, but without a huge quantity of energy at that temperature, much like a bolt of lightning the most dramatic result is often an exploded tree, while the same lightning bolt only burns humans a little bit and they often survive with a bit of nerve damage or gnarly scarring as a result. This won't stop an infrared reading from telling me the sun has come to earth for a fraction of a second.

No I didn’t. No idea where you’re getting that. Davoth was released because Doomguy brought his Life Sphere to some temple where 2 Maykrs released him. It’s shown in Ancient Gods Part 1. I never said how Davoth was released in any of these videos yet. Closing the portals will do nothing. The Demons have way more powers in the new games and once granted access to a universe they can travel to it all they want. Demons are shown opening up their own individual portals all over the planet and travels back and forth freely.

DOOM 3 isn’t canon to the current games as stated by Hugo Martin. He didn’t time travel, he went to a different universe. Think of Creation as a bubble. Inside that bubble is Jekkad AKA Hell, Urdak AKA Heaven, and the multiverse which includes multiple different universes. This is inferred by the Kahn Maykr saying she could give Doomguy back what the demons took from him, ie his family and home world. She was saying she can take him to his original universe. Hell and Urdak are multiversal constructs that exist above the multiverse of the DOOM cosmology and can access all other universes. The only reason Doomguy came to his current universe is because he was brought there by the UAC run by Samuel Hayden. In conclusion he wasn’t time traveling, he was just in a different universe. The reason DOOM 2016 was basically a copy of the original game was because that is what it was meant to be by design of the game developers.

There isn’t any evidence either by developers or the game that he’s in another universe. It’s just a fan theory. It’s possible sure but you declaring it as truth is false. As of now time travel is more likely due to him being confirmed to have gone back in time via the Sentinel Era and spending Billions of years in Hell before the events of the 1st game even start.

​@rougarabid it's clearly not tho none of the events are the same if it was time travel they would have happened the same but instead everything is diffrent besides the set pieces of Mars earth the icon of sin existing and a few other things in og doom it's they mess is portals and open to hell on Mars moon in 2016 it's on Mars and demon cults in og doom 2 is right after and you even find the og icons head in hell in 2016 while it takes them weeks maybe longer to find earth in eternal long enough to make arc and robots and weapons to fight back atleast even the wolfenstein storys are different between og and new ones it may not be alternate universes buts it's at the very least alternate timeliness if not universes

I want to state the fact that I can be wrong here, but I also want to say that we never hear any mention of Doomguy's family in 2016 or Eternal, granted, Doomguy's family could just be there somewhere or maybe they are just dead, but I believe in these theories. PS if this is time travel, why is there not a Doomguy from DOOM 1 here, i mean, if this was time travel then that would mean there would be two Doomguys, because the Doom Slayer did not get shipped to Mars because he attacked his commanding officer, he was found be the UAC in Hell after being trapped there by the Hell Priests, the Doom Marine from the original DOOM came to Mars as punishment not because he was found in Hell. By that logic, there would be two Doomguys running around, one being the Slayer we all know and love, and the other being the Doom Marine from the original game, but there doesn’t seem to be any other person running around the Doom world kicking demon ass, so that is why I thinks this is a different dimension and not time travel. I'm sure you have a better understanding of the lore of DOOM than I do, but given these statements that I have made, it is a possibility that I am correct. The unused voicelines of the khan maykr make it clear that the slayers universe of origin is either destroyed or consumed. The timeline is also quite clear and linear. 4 ages that roughly span a decillion years in total.

people Infinite speed can touch other people with infinite speed, because they both have infinite speed. Im not saying doom guy has inf speed, but im saying that if someone has unlimited speed, then only someone with unlimited speed can handle them, a car can match the speed of a car, a plane matches a planes speed, etc. Yes, low examples, but examples to show someone of equal speed can touch someone of equal speed. Plus, speed is relative, so someone with inf speed meeting another person with inf speed would just be like if 2 random men met and were surrounded by snails. As for the flash argument, plot, sometimes they downplay speedsters for the sake of the plot, wouldn't be entertaining if the flash just one shotted captain cold or Mr. freeze at the speed of light.

Again not sure the people who come up with this shit know what infinity is. You can’t have infinite speed. That’s basically just moving in stopped time and even then you still have a speed because someone else in stopped time can be faster than you it just can’t be measured the same way. If you are touched when you don’t want to that’s showing a clear limit. Ergo not infinite. Infinite by its very nature has no limit. This is made up scaler bs that has no basis in real world physics or fictional universe meta narrative.

Jekkad IS Hell. Jekkad was what Hell was called before Davoth fell and corrupted Jekkad and turned it into the Hell we see now. It was the first dimension created by Davoth ever. So Jekkad is actually not just a planet, but an infinite beyond universal structure.

I’m saying it’s a planet because every other realm in the series is a planet. Urdak, Earth and Sentinel Prime are all Planets. Jekkad is never once called a universe. You can shout till you’re blue in the face that it is but it’s never once referred to as one. No universe in the series is said to have a name other than Hell and Jekkad is specifically stated to be in Hell it didn’t become Hell. Hell is a universe and Jekkad is something smaller. My guess is a planet like all the other locations in the game. If it’s not a planet where is Immora located? Immora is a city in Jekkad. It’s not just floating in space. It must be located on a a planet. What’s the planet called? Jekkad.

@@rougarabid No, dude. You got it all mostly wrong. Urdak is literally referred to as the 6th dimension. Im pretty sure you dont refer to a single planet as a dimension, you refer to it as a planet. Sentinel Prime isn't a planet. Argent D'nur is the planet where Sentinel Prime is located, and where every city including Sentinel Prime is located. It's literally called the homeworld of the Sentinels. Sentinel Prime is just one of its cities, (like Taras Nabad and Exultia) and its the main capitol of the Night Sentinels. Now it was stated that Argent D'nur was absorbed by Hell in Doom 2016's codex, but only a small portion of Argent D'nur was absorbed (the part of it containing the Well) not the whole entire planet since the Slayer was active at that time. Jekkad is most definitely a universe. Why would Davoth's first and most beloved creation only be a planet in size, when Davoth can create entire universes on a whim? Jekkad IS actually Hell. I dont know why you think its not or where you got that it's not Hell from, but it is. In the codex, it's stated verbatim "Seeing it as his own error, he sealed Jekkad away from all other realms: the fury of its denizens at this action corrupted the beautiful realm into the twisted lands that became known as Hell, while Davoth became known as the Dark Lord." (the "his" is referring to the Father) so you're wrong about that as well. Which means that Jekkad IS a universe due to literally being the same thing as Hell. Now Immora is stated to be in the heart of Hell, which means the very center of it, as it was made before everything else. It could be on a planet, could be at the bottom of Hell, we don't know. But to be honest it's irrelevant

The Doom 3 thing comes off to me as another instance of canon being used wrong. Doom 3 is canon, it's just not contiguous. The difference being canon determines what is possible, continuity determines what actually happens in the story. Multiple continuities can happen within the same canon. Doom 3, is therefore just a separate continuity.

He said himself it's not canon to the modern games, which tells me he means it's not contiguous but doesn't realise there's a difference. Most people conflate those two things to be the same, it's not an insult to him or you to say that he's wrong about it. Look further into how he phrases his statement and it clearly reads as him saying those are just events in a separate continuity.

Another gripe: you say the Maykrs were corrupted by the introduction of Argent Energy, but the reason they made a deal with hell to make it is because it can be used to reverse their transfiguration. Those aren't technically mutually exclusive, but again again, Demons (mostly) don't use Argent weapons, they use Hell Energy attacks and weapons, and the Sentinels who remained loyal stopped using argent weapons and went back to pure Wraith and Sentinel weapons. Only the traitors and the more advanced or powerful demons use argent energy weapons. (That's why the Marauders Axe, Valens Hammer, and the Crucibles are Red but the energy attacks of Imps, Gargoyles, Barons, Arch Viles, etc, are orange or green, and why the Sentinels who come to help you in tag2 use blue and white weapons, and the maykrs all use yellow attacks.)
