He wasn't just tall, he was athletic, fast, a menace on the fast break, his great passing tends to be overlooked because of how good of a scorer he was too. Magic is the guy all these point foward style players are trying to emulate. Size,speed, IQ, vision, teams would make take him in any position now as either forward or guard, some teams may even consider him for the center position. Magic would go crazy in this era.

Magic would be 2020 LeBron today: best passer in the league with Jokic and Luka, 20-25 ppg, still a nightmare to guard in transition but not as athletic as Miami LeBron. Simmons healthy is a better defender, but Magic was never scared of free throw and scoring in general. And probably an MVP candidate year in and year out.

He purposefully didn't just run and dunk because he thought it would be so easy as to be boring, so he would post dudes up and hit these ridiculous midrange sky hooks just to flex on people. He could shoot from what is today 3 point range, but there was no incentive to shoot from deep in that era because the 3 point line didn't exist.

I’m glad you guys gave Nash his flowers but it was kind of ruined by the “fraudulent MVP” comment at the end. Mo would have been like 5 years old when Nash was winning MVPs, so please just go back and watch the actual games. Nash and D’Antoni changed the entire meta of the NBA, it was something basketball fans had never seen before. You guys see 18.8 ppg and decide those aren’t MVP numbers, not realizing he only shot the ball like 12 times a game on 50-40-90 shooting; not to mention averaging over 11 assists: those are Magic Johnson numbers (with vastly better efficiency), so Magic’s 1990 MVP was fraudulent as well, right?

He’d need to lose some weight but Duhon and Jay Williams talked about how Yao was “shockingly good” stepping out onto the perimeter on a switch. I think he could be a really good big if he got that…I would call it conversion kit. He’s a taller (and better) Myles Turner in the modern NBA, considering they had similar foot speed.

Kobe would definitely be better now. Better footwork than Ant or Shai. He drew a lot of legitimate fouls in an era where they were allowed to be more physical. His efficiency would most definitely go up because he wouldn't beed to shoot so many heavily contested shots, and tge lane would be more accessible to him. Then his competitive nature would excel heavily as well.

He'd be 7'1,Strongest player in the league,one of the fastest in the league,have the best vertical in the league,with crazy good defense(there were arguments that he was just as good if not better defensively than bill Russell),the best rebounding skill in the league and he'd be allowed to be more physical(believe or not the refs were much softer in the 60's than today) If he was brought up with today's medical technology all of that would improve,and modern coaching would likely improve his free throw shooting.
