On day 3 of our short cruise waken after our overnight stay in the port of Rotterdam.
We booked this cruise with 10 friends to celebrate Jonnys 40th birthday in a few weeks time.
On day 3 we had a jam packed day checking the ropes course, have a dip in the pool, check out the poolside grill, Jean Phillipe Crepes & Gelato and then catch one of the Carousel Lounge shows and party in true White Night MSC fashion.
This cruise has been extremely packed with both people and things to do but has an overcrowded cruise put us off MSC?

We sailed Virtuosa for a 14 night Mediterranean cruise during the school holidays and we can safely say; we have never been on such an over-crowded and understaffed ship. Many of the bars would only have 1 or 2 bar tenders, long queues for everhthing, carnage on the sun decks, poor outside deck design, the list is endless. Only positives were the ship is stunning and full of facilities, liked the cabin and the entertainment was fantastic to be fair. We also complained on several times that there was no hand wash in ANY of the toilets or pool toilets, yet there was 6700 passengers onboard. People were falling ill throughout the cruise yet MSC claimed that the restrooms always had soap etc which was a lie. I know Royal Caribbean is now very expensive but it is worth every penny compared to what we experienced on MSC.

School holiday time is probably busy and near if not at full capacity. We are fortunate we can cruise outside of these times. We did expect this cruise to be super busy unlike the others we have had on MSC Virtuosa. The queues were frustrating but we still had a great time.

14.95 for a cocktail! Is this starship prices or regular? The long queues would put me off.

We paid £14.95 for the cocktail Rob made. On our last cruise this bar used to offer cocktails made by staff that were specific to this bar and were not included in any of the drinks packages however on this cruise that was not the case.
