Amazing story, BBG was so lucky that did not go off, very unstable after all these years. Beautiful coastline, with a dealy harvest underneath the sand. Thanks for sharing this with us. Stay safe and well my friends

Lots of interesting finds there on the beach and around the dunes. The little metal piece that held 5 rounds for the K-98 we called a "stripper clip" in the US Army. Very nice detonator finds! Thank you and your daughter for clearing the beach of all those mines!! Very interesting story about the storm scattering the mines which I bet made it tough on the Germans to recover even a small portion of them. Another great tour lesson!

Thank you for sharing this fascinating location, and some of its history. The fact that BBG found all those S-mines just lying amongst the stones on the beach, and then you two together found even more, just after the bomb disposal team had been there, really shows how dangerous some of these areas might be, even today. Love the finds though. The Stripper Clip and the cartridge have their own stories to tell, but the S-mine detonators are always the star of your finds like this. True proof of how intensely the Germans mined the beaches to prevent Allied landings! Cheers to you both! Stay safe, stay positive!

You're english is extraordinary for being a german. I have a lot of hatred towards the Germans of this nazi times When they invaded my ancestors homeland of poland. Could you Imagine If hitler actually won the war where would germany be now? I can tell you one thing it would not be a good THING. germany would be much worse Then it was in the 30s and 40s. THANK GOD Hitler was defeated. And Germany could rebuild and Bury Any remembrance of the Nazi Regime. I find your channel Extraordinary Absolutely Extraordinary. I. If you ever see a sign that says "Achtung Minen" it basically means in English 'Warning or Caution Mines' (that being Landmines). So no, i wouldn't walk on that beach if the Landmines there are still active & able to still explode. You have only got to step on one of them accidentally and you are dead. It's that simple.

I actually don't think that was a German bullet. It's missing a very distinct characteristic that would still be obvious despite the rusting. Which actually makes it even more interesting, to be honest. Whatever it is, it's still neat to find. A long time ago I had several opportunities to dig up bullets, cannonballs, and other bits from the American Civil War. No matter how mundane a thing you find or how many of them you find, every single one makes you giddy when you do. So anyone who tells you you're over reacting to your finds has probably never done it themselves. On a side note, a good friend of ours once found a belt buckle of a Civil War US soldier with a bullet embedded in the center of it, and it was embedded high in a post of a fence which had been there since the war. Obviously there is no way to know how that ended up there. But it sure makes you wonder.

S-Mine = "Sprengen mine"? I believe the Allies called them "Bouncing Betties" , when triggered the charge was fired by a spring up to about waist height before exploding for maximum damage for about 5m radius. Maybe the shell fragments are from mortar rounds the soldiers fired to try and explode any remaining mines they couldn't find by hand?
