As I've gotten older and through my own life experience, your relationship to your family doesn't always say who you are as a person and if someone should date or marry you. Some of us have toxic parents that we've distanced ourselves from and are leading better, happier lives with a chosen family. Not everyone has a good relationship with siblings for whatever reason. Being judged based on your family seems a bit unfair. I guess when people get to know the other person that should be what's important. Not if you have dinner with mee maw every Sunday.

Fair enough whether one or both of you see the other person as the one you potentially see as raising a family with but keep that information to yourself, at least until you have got to the point where discussion of the subject is natural and comfortable...definitely not the first date!

He's a bit off. Seems a bit controlling and condescending towards women. he's putting on an act trying to appear more soft-spoken and sensitive. That ain't him.
