So, just imagine, you're relaxing with let's say your Klawf, walking, and you find somebody doing a picnic. Yeah, that's fine, you consider joining, but suddenly, they get out one of their pokémon, another klawf, and use a Bisharp or something similar to cut it in small pieces and you see how they put those pieces in a cauldron to start cooking. The guy spots you, you look at your beloved Klawf, and before you can say anything he's cut in pieces by the Bisharp.

I find the thought of eating Pokemon very off-putting, because the anime portrays a majority of Pokemon as having human-level intelligence, or at least enough to understand our speech and communicate back non-verbally (most of the time) and have their trainers understand exactly what they're trying to say. I don't know if I could bring myself to consume a sentient being. Like, I eat plenty of meat, but if my meal started talking back to me I dunno if I'd still have an appetite.
