Thing is proving something didn't happen is even harder than proving something did happen. Its VERY hard to prove SA happens and its even harder to prove an accuser is lying. The vast majority of SA cases aren't proven or disproven. Its only when these women officially recant or there is some overwhelming proof they lied, that you could work on charging it. Look at Jussie Smollet. Only because his accusation was so outlandish and specific could it be disproven. If he had kept it simple, there would be basically no way to definitively prove he made it all up. And many rape accusations are simple, even ambiguous enough that both parties can just have different interpretations of the same events.

your mistake, which is a mindset that leads to false accusations doing so much damage, is believing that legitimate victims SHOULDN'T have doubt cast upon them. It is by overcoming this doubt that they can be ruled by courts and by society at large as being legitimately victims of a crime. That isn't to say that anyone who doesn't overcome the doubt isn't a victim, but a lack of evidence for a crime that truly did occur is not sufficient reason to hop on the "believe all women" train.

What she did was give a slap to actual victims of r*pe who will be scrutinized and called lairs despite actually being real victims. God might forgive her but she ruined literal lives and reputations. There are some women who are still adamant that she was in fact SA’d. She needs to be punished idk, it doesn’t seem fair at all. Being accused of SA is literally the worst thing that could happen to a man’s career because even if you’re eventually found innocent, your rep is ruined and can hardly be repaired.

@@MikeJones-m6r correct. I live in Denmark and I remember that story from the news. Yes, even in Denmark the News stations were reporting on this story. I even remember a specific journalist who explained to the Danish viewers that this was a typical example of how privileged white upper middle class American boys thought they could treat other people, especially people/women from another race. She deserves zero sympathy or forgiveness. It wasn't just those boys lives she ruined, the coach received death threats for standing up for his boys, the family members were shunned and threatened, the team as a whole was affected and the reputation of the school is forever tied to a massive sexual assault scandal. I don't care if she's already in prison, she should be tried and receive more jail time for filing a false police report and wasting the time and resources of everyone, the police, lawyers, the investigation etc. I think everyone who falsely accuses someone else of a crime, especially something as egregious as a sexual crime, should be charged and go to jail for the time the falsely accused would have had to face. There's been far too many lives affected and destroyed because of this and they need to stop letting people get away with this.

The Bible also says we are supposed to forgive. In this case that may be extremely hard to do but the Bible doesn't say we have to ever trust her again. Don't quote the Bible if you're going to leave out the most important context that's actually relevant to his question. That's called being a false prophet which makes you no better than her in God's eyes. You are bearing false witness to his word and making him look bad to people. You're just making yourself look like a fake Christian in to me.

@skagenpige88 The ones who are bearing false witness will only quote certain things from the Bible but leave out other important related scriptures. For example in the comment I was replying to the person only pointed out the commandment about not lying but completely omitted the scripture that is specifically about forgiveness even though the question that was asked was about forgiveness and not whether it was okay to lie. People bearing false witness like to try to bastardize the Bible to their own liking. True Christians accept the Bible even the parts we don't like or the parts that are hard to do sometimes. As a victim of sexual assault, I want to scream no forgiveness but as a Christian I have to try. It's about who you serve, God or yourself.

There is a Bible verse about Forgiveness. Matthew 6:14-15 "For if you forgive others their trespasses, your heavenly Father will forgive you, but if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses." I'm not saying what that lady did was right and she should get away with it but forgiveness does take a weight off you. And our Heavenly father has forgiven us more times than we can count. Prayers for those men and the lady. 🙏
