Alexi is building explorer yachts that don't look like the traditionally boxy trawler style ship. Pretty sure it has fore and aft Seakeepers, highlighting the stability of his displacement engineering, with the tall furnishing adornments just free sitting on tables like in a home. Comfort and safety in style.

Thanks for the tour Tristan & Alexei. Bering is definitely my favorite explorer yacht brand. After seeing behind the scenes of various Bering yachts under construction & the level of detail & the quality of construction of Bering yachts on NautiStyles & on NautiGuys (Victoria & Rico's channels of course), not to mention following along with the construction of the Bering 75 Victoria & Rico are building for themselves, I would have no problem with owning and/or cruising around the world on a Bering. If you haven't watched the two part walk through tour Alexei does with Victoria & Rico on a Bering 145 Hybrid that was under construction on NautiStyles (uploaded a year ago) to see what goes into the construction of Berings then definitely check it out.

Tristan, a beautiful yacht, I've been watching Bering since Nick, Rico and Victoria have been doing walkthroughs of their different models and custom builds. They have such a quality build and impressive engineering. Alexi is a wealth of information and quite comical at times. BTW, did you see Rico and Victoria's boat while you were there? And how far along are they with the build?

If ever i was to buy a yacht i wouldn't consider anybody else other than Bering to build mine. The quality and honesty of the company just shines and B92 is without question one of my all time favorites yachts... Only to be beaten by B145 of course! 😁

SO happy to see Alexey and Bering on Super Yachts Captain. I was lucky enough to see NautiStyles (sorry SYC) touring the Bering 77 explorer and a Bering has been my dream boat ever since. Absolutely love them (and you too, of course!).

I love this yacht, all Bering yachts for that matter. The only derogatory thing is the 12 knots an hour. I can imagine getting stuck in a storm, and the yacht not capable of outrunning it. I suppose this is the captain's responsibility to not place the boat in a situation that could become dangerous, but the speed of an explorer yacht has always been a negative for me. 👍😎✌🗽

​​@@ulrichkristensen4087that's a relatively bogus argument that you gotta be able to do something that the boat was never engineered to do. It's a full displacement yacht, it's always going to suffer "a speed penalty" of maybe 13 - 15 knots max as it's not a planing hull formula. I'm sure there are other "planing hull" designs that will go faster, but Bering doesn't build that type of hull. Not to mention you need to trip plan better to avoid mid Atlantic storms. You do not need to outrun them.

I was surprised to see the engine room skipped. I would think Alexi would be proud of it. It is a unique experiment explorer yacht to be certain; a very Mediterranean-inspired boat I gathered. One that fits in its pears and fits right in with the other yachts of its size.

Thanks to yourself, along with both NautiStyles and Tristan, I've come to view Bering Yachts (at this time) as my 2nd fave of all motor yachts globally. Your boats certainly have advantages over my fave make/model -- perhaps I will own one of my faves AND a Bering Yacht as well (I'm thinking B125 should be ideal)

Forgive me if this is a stupid question, but why do you use fenders on an inflatable boat? Is it just because it is "docked" against a custom made customer's boat, or is this normal practice? Thanks!!

You do not want 2 hulls rubbing against each other, no matter what each are made of, hence why they've got fenders to protect the superyacht from a dingy rubbing on its paint.

@@Glofilter yes but the fenders are covered in terrycloth to prevent chafing against either hull. Some hulls also use fiberglass rod standoffs to hold the "dingy" out away from the hulls too. @@Rob_Moilanen I dont know the exact size but from what I could see, it was not a tiny boat and the attack appeared to be very calculated according to investigating scientist. The captain was able to radio in for help, no one was hurt. Another was a crossing for a owner, the whales seem to know where to attack and sound could be a trigger, water came in below . Scientist stated it could be a learned behavior.

Hence why the B92 is not one of the yachts that Bering normally builds. It was a custom one of build.
