honestly it makes perfect sense for you to have to pay a night fare for using the facilities. they need to be cleaned and maintained and the water heated etc. the fuel bill does not go tot he facility it goes to the fuel supplier.

Guernsey's St Peter Port welcome has improved apparently since I last visited in 2007. I remember the port officials (harbormaster) frigid 'welcome' to our sailing vessel in the early morning coming close enough with his Zodiac to throw a customs form and booklet wrapped in plastic that was to be as he yelled 'filled out without delay within 15 minutes of our arrival' - Sock-sucker seemed to enjoy his 'colonial' attitude and going out of his way to be a cunt. Then when we left two days later and we were 5 miles out he had the unmitigated gall to ask what our destination was... I couldn't resist to pick up the radio and reply: 'out of your goddamn feathers and none of your business, sergeant, over and out.' That seemed to shut him up. Two days later we were thankfully back in a French harbor, where the welcome was a lot warmer.

Great feat and no luck... what I can offer you, I'll do the same thing to you... but on a prepared Jet Ski. If I am given the means to achieve this challenge, I will do it without problem.

Hi Tristan. Miss the AWOL team greatly. Hypothetically, if I won the lottery and never owned a yacht and decided to buy the ultimate machine (the yacht) would you hire the captain first? I would think first. He/She should be able to guide you to a great boat and get the best out of it as long as the experience is there. Since (hypothetical me) I have never owned a yacht where should one turn to find a suitable one who has the tickets to command a 50 , 500 or 3000 ton vessel? Just curious what your thoughts are.

Multimillion superyacht or multimillion supertanker….same checklists and procedures….though the jacuzzi is on on,y one of them!
