Little tip when looking for a 3rd party app to use, make sure it deosn't "cheat" the zoom/telephoto/2x lens option. In low light scenes, sometimes iPhone will actually use the 1x camera lens and crop into 2x rather than use the 2x/telephoto lens, because the 1x camera has the fastest aperture (1.6 on the iphone 12 pro I believe, vs 2.0 on the 2x camera). You can test this by covering each lens on your phone camera and switching between modes. I know for a fact Lightroom and Halide don't "cheat" however, the native camera app on iphone does (if its good lighting it shouldn't need to)

I will be happy to get support but Halide never answer to my email. I pay the full version and I’m unable to use it correctly, it is really unstable. I use an iPhone 12 Pro.

The photos in the beginning of the video are breathtaking. Excellent content! Subbed!

Hey just needed a quick help with a confusion I had. So if I make a one time purchase so does it mean that I would have the app forever with all the future updates? Or does it mean that it would be same as the halide 1 users like now they are getting the new features of MK ii for one year only.
@striderstache994 жыл бұрын
You shouldn't expect all updates for free forever. Making apps costs money. I don't think you'd work for free, yeah? If you don't want to keep paying there are other apps you could buy

I purchased halide, the apps freezes when i slow the shutter lesser than 1/24.. its on ProMax13

Hi there. Halide costs much much more than any other app and it only does stills, so that makes it even more expensive. I have a hunch it is worth the extra amount. But I’m new to this, could you briefly explain why. What do you think it does (or how) that another apps don’t. Thanks!

I heard a rumor that Halide Mark II can *directly* shoot 48Kpix *JPEG* on an iPhone 14 Pro/Max (no complicated conversion steps required). That, in part since Apple doesn't provide for that. Is that true?

But does it offer extreme timelapse (like Xiaomi's camera)?

WTA, does the "computational photography" kicks in when i'm shooting jpeg using this app? Or its just like "real" camera-processing?

Thanks for the video. Is Halide so much better than Reeflex Camera Pro?
@beloved32443 жыл бұрын
This app is now $50! And this app is average there plenty of other apps that cost three dollars that do exactly what this app does. This is obviously a cash grab and I hope people don’t waste your money

What’s a good video app for shooting raw video for the iPhone12? Other than filmic pro
@ChrisWilmshurst4 жыл бұрын
This looks like a great app, do you know if it'll come with Apple Pro Raw?
@ABetterComputer4 жыл бұрын
Don't know yet, although I recall Apple mentioning that other apps would be able to integrate with ProRAW so fingers are crossed.

Hello there. This was a very informative video. I am wanting to take better photos on my phone. I have currently the iPhone 11 Pro Max. Eventually I will get the 13 Pro Max but right now I’m sticking with what I have. No, I’m not saying that the native camera on the iPhone is not good because it is good. However, I have some experience using Canon EOS DSLR’s. I’ve had both the EOS Xsi and the EOS T3i. Been a while since my last usage. I would just like to have full control over the photos I take on my phone. My mom likes Nikon, I like Canon. Probably just because it’s what I’m used to but go figure LOL! I look forward to your response.

I don't think it justifies the price at least in India. It is Rs. 5200 one-time and Rs. 91.58/ mo. in India. Which is roughly $65.73 and $1.16 at today's exchange rate , which is very high. They should cut down the price in india.

iPhone photos have terrible colors (see video) and this app is the only way of getting sharp images that are a little bit more natural. The raw function is completely useless. At anything over iso 200 you better go with the jpg because the noise makes the hdr basically unusable. Already spent 12€ for this years license, but really thinking about getting a pixel.
