Is it necessary to wait until the next day to trim the PPF? Love your videos 👍🏽

Thank you! Good question. Definitely not. It all depends on how long I have the vehicle. We normally have cars for multiple days. So, I trim on my timeline. If I only have a vehicle for the day, I normally give the film 20-30 mins or so before trimming.

Do you think theres less chance of over stretching with a larger piece of scrap?
@EncorePPFtint23 күн бұрын
I don't think so. The stretch will be the same over the actual surface of the part. The thing that will give you less stretch will be less coverage. The extra PPF might even make it easier to overstretch because you have so much film to grab a hold of (you get such a good grip). 👍🏻😁

What type of TPU you use ? And it is 7.5mil ?

This was SunTek Ultra. It is an 8 mil film. 👍🏻 It has a very strong top coat on it. It should hold up to damage extremely well.

Is it very hard/even possible to have a section front bumper in PPF? I travel on the road a lot and I have a lot of bugs an rock marks I want to protect against. however, to keep it looking nice, I would like to replace the damage PPF, but I don't want to replace the whole bumper's PPF every 4 months. Section replacement would be easier. sections would be better. the front bumper of my Kia K3 is not that complex, (I think...)

It is possible to replace parts. The issue is that you end up needing to decide where you are going to seam parts if you dont replace full parts. The seams can catch dirt and wax over time. That will make them much more noticeable. You'll have to decide if the damaged area looks worse than the fix is going to look if you decide to only replace parts of the ppf.
