We didn’t play bad, lets hold up here. It was part of the game plan, we were focused, apart from a corner leading to a goal conceded, we looked solid. Our attacking is not that great but we are working to get there, Amorim is focusing on build up and making the players focus more. No my friend we weren’t awful, I am believing more in this united team. There is still long way ahead, the squad needs reshuffling and more work to be done, but this game, the game plan was there, even one goal down we weren’t out of the game, it was coming.

United were not crap at all, it was nip and tuck blow for blow with a really good City team. The players looked fitter and able to carry out the game plan this time and the game plan worked eventually.

I remember a few seasons ago, we were played out of the park by city. Only counterattacking football with a very deep defensive line. The champions league final defeat to Barcelona really highlighted why high pressing and possession football is going to be the future. We looked solid today , not much creativity up front but we played as a team ,we were in the game for 90mins. You cannot suddenly bring a winning mentality, it takes time,the hunger is something Amorin has. Few good signings in January and we will get better …
