Just ran 14 miles and 3,500’ vertical ascent, and corresponding descent, in my second pair of 002s! Magnificent shoe that can handle technical terrain of all kinds, and YES they fixed the heel counter that bedeviled the otherwise magnificent 001s. Highly recommend-I like Hoka, too, but my Nordas last three times as long! Keep those reviews coming, Loyd!

I have a pair of 001 and absolutely love them apart from the heel as I notice slip on super steep technical descents. It’s the only issue and the grip is second to none. Want to try the 002 as the heel sounds to have fixed it. @TrailrunnerTroy and Lloyd any concerns with the slightly lower stack to run long. I’m running a very technical 100miler this year and only wonder is whether the slightly lower stack in the 002 would hold up enough to keep feet ok over 100miles.

@@joellaing228 thank you - I wouldn’t use the 002 for anything longer than 50 K. No problem wearing the 001s for longer-haul except for the heel counter, which for me has limited my wearing of the 001s to a single 50-miler, which irritated my Achilles with that slipping. The 002s for me are a little unpleasant underfoot after 30 miles or so. My last 100-miler (in December) wore the Salomon S/Lab Ultra d’Haene and never even had to adjust them once on a technical course-and no blisters!

NNormal Tomir - half the price and at least as durable with Megagrip Litebase outsole. I get it, you pay a premium for more exotic materials and a 'boutique" brand (so you can't directly compare it to, say, a Speedgoat) - but Killian's shoes seem pretty comparable for a lot less.

Nnormal is still a boutique brand. Kjerag is incredible and looks even better than the Norda 002

Dyneema is crazy tough, I used to work at sea and a 10mm dyneema rope could hold a massive steel ship! But it was twelve quid a meter, so no wonder these are so pricey!! They look awesome

I have backpacks, stuff packs, tent and some more in Dyneema due to its lightweight and strong properties.

Fits like a smooth svelte glove and is a great puncher on the trails...I will buy more~ Hoka fan also , but these shoes are like a lightweight strong tank! Great job Norda~

I have 600k in my 001’s, and will definitely be trying out the 002’s when I can. Price is expensive, but my 001’s still look like they have another 600k in them, so I would have gone through several pairs of other brands in that time so $/km ends up being less. Still a big outlay, but worth every cent.

Very expensive indeed, but they will last twice as long as most other shoes. So in terms of value, they are well priced.

Picked up some 001’s at sale price, lots of great things about them but couldn’t get on with the heel counter! On paper, and from your first impressions, it sounds like my decision to sell the 001’s and replace with these will hopefully work out well!

I have nearly 400 KM including a Kullamannen 100 miler in the Satisfy Norda 001s and other than them looking a bit dirty there is still barely any wear on the outsoles and the midsole just got better and better. In that time I've worn out a pair of Summit Vectiv Pros and pair of Pulsar Trail Pros, so the value is there. I'm doing the TDS this year Loyd. I know it's early days for you with the 002, but do you think they are capable of handling the race?

My old North face ultra mt's had vibram megagrip soles, I used them for the entire Pennine way (walking) and they stuck to the wet slabs like sπ|t to a blanket, though they wore down quickly. I'd compare them to formula 1 race tyres, grippy as hell, but only last one long race.

Just put in my first trail run in these. Super comfy and grip is outstanding. They messed up the sizing pretty bad though, they even have a notice to size up when ordering. I went up half a size and they are still a wee bit short in the toe box compared to other brands half size smaller. 🇨🇦

No matter the looks, and they really look smashing, or the performance the price is just ridiculous. I very rarely buy shoes that costs more than 100£ so this is not for me. I'd rather get 3 other excellent shoes in my rotation at the same price.

I don't know about a 1000 miles... but I have seen a pair of Norda 001 that had 1300kms in them and they still were usable... the upper looked in top condition still. The outsole is where you could see the wear... but no outsole is gonna look crisp after 1300kms! My own 001 have about 500kms in them and they are still in remarkable shape... better than any trail shoe I have run 500ks in.
