straight up facts I started playing vanilla private servers since early 2010s. It had its ups and downs, but ive had sooo much fun over the years!! awesome communitys! (most of the time) edit: i started playing wow in late 2005ish(or 2006) It was my first RPG and first MMO after Counter Strike 1.5, so naturaly i did aloooooot of pvp back then. It was sooooo much fun! It was magical, it was like heroin, we couldnt get enough! I cant even describe it properly! Out of curiosity i even started botting for one or two weeks(glider) and got my main account with more than 100+day /played banned :D (i still remember the day it happend, just like 9/11 lol) I played till Season 3 in TBC and even had top 5 rating in 2v2 arena on my realmpool for a short peroid of time, till my account got ripped and i stopped playing for some reason. I tried Wotlk for a couple of month but i didnt realllly get into it because of DKs and other PVP related issues(i think). BUt it still was somewhat fun tbh! But that was the time i started to play on classic private servers and god almighty, looking back at it now makes me realise just how much fun that was! I still have so many great memorys from those days, i met alot of awesome people and we had so much fun pvping in the world and just fucking around. IT was EPIC!! Im a little tipsy drunk right now but when i look back at all those memorys, i gotta say it was almost as magical as the first time i played vanilla wow back in 2005/2006! Imho over time Blizzard has become so utterly braindead and stupid, its crazy. I cant even explain it proper with my limited abilitys but lets just say they fucked it up big time, multiple times! If it wasnt for the private server community they would be dead by now. And yet, they only listen to what they think makes them money, without thinking in terms of playerbase or overall community. Its just sad :(

Halo 4 had in multiplayer, if my memory serves, a lootboxes where you could earn better versions of vehicles, weapons and such. You got them so rarely and they were single use, not as for each match but on each use within match. If you lost your Tier 2 or 3 Banshee you needed to use "voucher" (can't remember right name, some kind of card looking stuff) to summon new one. He is just already mentally been indoctrinated to worship Online Store.

My first raid was Naxx right after wotlk classic came out, and as a new player I can say that he is 100% right, the GM was cool with me (he saw me getting ready from lvl 1 in a fresh sv before wotlk came out and knew I was doing my best) but during the raid I made mistakes, can’t remember which item he wanted to give me instead of the other mage (who did better) and I passed the item to him, that’s punishing the guy who had to make the difference for my mistake, if you don’t get that, then raiding or being in a guild isn’t for you

What you said on 12:30 brought me back memories, On Wrath Classic, I joined a guild as RET, played with them and was pumping the shit out of everything with the shit gear I had, min-maxing every movement and GCD to prove to people that RET is not just FCFS. I was getting left over gear while other RETs were getting BIS, they had the idea that if I'm good I dont need items and the other need items to catch up. When Death Choice Heroic and the Anub Expertise/Crit 2H mace dropped; it went for a Paladin who barely knows how to play wow. the amount of frustration I had got my eyes to unleash waterfalls that I couldn't control; I was weeping like a kid who lost his parents.

I've been running with a guild for a while in wotlk classic who used the most awful implementation of LC I've ever seen. They basically tried to distribute loot "equally", meaning they had a list where they counted items and tried to ensure everyone always got the same amount of items. It led to some crazy decisions like giving first DBW to a hunter first over a fury warrior or feral since the hunter had one item less on his list than those guys. Basically, nobody except for the underperformers was happy with that system since it led to some odd decision making and didn't reward the good players in the raid at all. Worst thing was that the loot council got plenty of criticism but never wanted to listen to it, stubbornly holding onto the system and claiming it was best.

Man, I could swear I was playing with a dumb*** just like that in City of Heroes earlier this year when we had that flood of new players due to NCSoft giving Homecoming the license to host it. The player needed rezzed every 2 minutes, and leroyed into everything. One of the teammates set his robots to protect him, while me and another healer were constantly picking him up, wasting cooldowns. Eventually, The team leader had enough and kicked him. I am glad the flood of new players has mellowed out since then... It's that one moment where I hate the fact their level adjusts to the rest of us in the team... Because clearly they were level 1, side-kicking as 50... lol

It died when they let bots run rampant, when they randomly picked talents from expansions and when they did no beta testing and had people that don't even pvp randomly design classes. The main draw of classic was chill raids, pretty easy gear progression and pvp that kind of worked. All those things were destroyed in SoD. The bots and parse culture and catering to content creators over players resulted in a full time job to get consumes/BIS to get a parse just to do easy raids and pvp is the worst it has ever been in the history of WoW. The idiocy of adding something like another grounding totem to a shaman is the dumbest thing I have ever seen and I always play horde. What masochist would ever play a caster on alliance? When queues got to be 30 min in the last phase I was out. Set yourself free man. Try other mmo's. If you like pve go to final fantasy, if you like battlegrounds go to SWTOR. You will have a hundred times more fun and won't have a full time job farming just to do a couple hours of the thing you actually want to do. WoW is the worst MMO on the market at this point. It's made for content creators over players and Classic is a psyop to get you on retail by easing you into the same incel, parsing, mythic culture. They want you as a slave selling tokens to mobile gamers buying carries.

Let's be honest. Classic and TBC were only done as stepping stones to get to Wrath and Cata to sell gold, mounts, boosts, and other stupid stuff. There is no moderation for Classic, and TBC doesn't even exist because Blizzard knew people would gravitate towards the more superior versions of the game.

I was top DPS in raids, always came to raid prepared, rarely ever died to stupid s**t, and maintained 100% attendance. So I always received the items I wanted, in fact, they would ask me, "Does that help you?" and if I said yes, it was mine, no arguments. My GM/RL understood his job, that's the way it was. If you don't reward the best players, you lose the best players.

Cancelled during p2 and never looked back. Shitty raid and shitty wpvp event and knowing ST would be the raid for p3 also threw me away of any will... Long boring raids are a thing of the past, completely outdated stuff, only a few 5% of sweaty toxic players keep wanting it and they will be the remain in the last phases for sure. P1 was fun though, specially for bg's and Ashevnvale wpvp, wondering around before and after the event and randomly inviting/joining people to fight, was pretty cool.
