So I’ve been playing since launch, never once landed an arcane crystal. I blew my last 50g on a respec and eng mats for the dummy and flash bombs. I’ve done this farm on and off for a few days and it has definitely paid off (over500g in ore n crystals) ! Thank you for the guide, it was fun to learn and try tricks for ur last spot. I came close once with “the big one” 5 sec stun but I died to a spell cast. Still awesome work would love to see more like this!

This video is amazing, i didn't have a Rogue so i leveled 1 to 60 just to do this. Hited 60 with less than 200g in me between all my toons (3rd lvl 60 tho). After 10 days, im sitting in 4.6k gold, fast mount already and all thanks to doing this farm. Thanks a lot mate. EDITED 20/10/20: I stopped selling the crystals at 8000 gold. Now i have 70 Arcanite bars for my TF too. Thanks bro for this farm

Answer to the question at the end. Sap/blind/gouge casters. Mine node while standing on safe spot on skull statue directly next to the pack. Melee wont attack u and casters are cc'ed. I dont have a rogue at 60, but that's how I would do it.

Omg clickbait title you didn't show the last vein ;) jk this was very informative. Came across this guide at level 58 and started farming once I hit 60. I can say this is pretty efficient if you do it right. In 3 days I have farmed 8-9 crystals, pretty much one an hour. Happy to make my mount gold back almost already. This guide seriously saved me leveling a warlock to farm DM E haha. I still need the barov trinket to make certain veins easier. It's nice to know most of the troll + beast packs can have the beasts pulled separately. Thanks a bunch for this guide !

The node unknown was done with a mindcontrol helmet vanish to aggro all the mobs so you can freely tap the node

The final node is quite simple - You need to be SUB spec so your sap doesn't break your stealth. There are several skullpiles close to node, but there is only 1 tiny skullpile - when standing on it you can reach the node with maxrange. So it's -> SAP the gnome furthest away -> Position ontop of tiny skullpile and make sure you have range to dink -> Blind other gnome and then grab the vein.

remember that he shows 15 out of the 16 possible nodes but that there are only 4 spaws per run. So your cds will be back up by the time you make it to the next vein.

Yes of course you need prep and all that to make it easier plus improved stealth...you can basically just take a pvp spec

PvP spec is perfectly enough for this farm. All you really need are Camouflage, Prep, Elusivness. Probably don't need Master of Deception (I didn't try without it, so I'm not sure how mobs react to basic stealth, but should be OK based on other experiences). I do this farm naked, so I don't risk repair bills.

Does arcane crystal droprate is higher in ZG ? your droprate seem insane, i generally get 1 crystal for 50 thorium in silithus. (and sometime 1 for 100) Also it seem to need a lot of reagents (blinds, dummies, flashbomb) and take a lot of risk of wiping, plus lot of cd wait. Is it really more worth than turning in silithus ? However thanks for the video and sharing tips !

The benefits of this grind are: zero competition/consistency. You can farm it all day everyday and never worry about other taking your veins/crystals. Hakkari veins also produce Souldarite which sells for about 20g a stack, I usually get 1 Souldarite from each vein as well as Arcane Crystals. The drop rate for crystals seems higher in ZG, others have speculated the same but this is unconfirmed. In the video I wanted to show hows it's possible to mine all the nodes but in reality I usually skip 1 and just mine 3/4 when I farm here, I take the easiest nodes, most of which don't require bombs/dummies. I think Silithus might be better if you are the only rogue mining there(both factions) but since that's so rare, I prefer to grind here in ZG because I never have to worry about compeition, the music and zone are also really nice:)

Unfortunately not, the dummy is an aggro magnet, it has an aoe taunt thats active all the time, the peasants do not, they just pull mobs that they hit(if you havent hit them yet). I only used it in that first pull because I wanted to minimize as much incoming damage as possible. You could try the thornling seeds from dire maul, they aggro like the dummy and dont reqire engi, but they take a few secs to start aggro and you have to go collect them from dm.

So after a few days of doing this farm, its great. Is there only 4 Hakkar Thorium that spawn per run? And the first vein near the bat riders, is it only 1 spawn in that area per run? Whenever a vein spawns near that waterfall, there doesn't seem to be another vein where the bat rider pats are. So is it basically 1 vein per corner of ZG? Is it possible to get 2 veins close together? Just would save time if you know maximum spawns and where. Thanks!

It's probably one per cluster yeah like how it is in the world so theres probably 4 clusters and one can spawn in each. I'm sure once you do a few runs you'll notice the pattern

It's 4 cluster. So 4 HTV spawns per reset. The clusters are: 1. Bat area (4 possible locations). 2. Raptor boss area (4 possible locations). 3. Main route area (5 possible locations). 4. Totem boss area (seems to be 3 possible locations). I've seen a run with 3 veins, and I've seen a run with 5 veins. But it's rare. The cluster I'm not exactly sure about is the main route one, since I've seen it spawn a vein at the Serpent pyramid and immediately next to it by the troll tent above the Crocs. My suspition is that this cluster shares a few spawns with the Totem Boss area cluster.

It's a good question, and honestly I haven't done the math on how much the mats cut into the gold per hour. But I'll say that I usually only mine 3/4 veins in each run, the more difficult nodes with bats etc I skip as the margin for error is so slim and you can do 3/4 veins in 12 mins and then reset again. Most of the nodes(9/16 require no dummies/bombs). There are certainly some factors that decrease gold per hour but it is a consistent farm, with no competition for nodes, which I think makes up for the extra work required. Once you learn the flow you can farm crystals whenever you like and never worry about other miners. As a rogue who loves solo content, it's great to have ZG sitting there, all to myself, when I feel like farming!

Theres really plenty of nodes you can do without the dummy and depending on which beasts spawn I found. Sometimes you get 2 humanoids and 1 raptor so you dont need to bother you can easily tap those. GPh is obviously luck based but I use no consumes and got like 4 crystals in less than 2 hours still pretty fucking awesome and its chill almost no work.

Roughly 1.25-1.5 per run, on average. But I've been testing runs without engineering, skipping veins that require dummy/flash and on average I find in 12 mins I get 2.5-3 veins which makes this run better crystals per hour than dm:e solo, which rogues can't do yet(working on a video for this). Some of the veins aren't worth going for in terms of gold per hour, and some have very small margin for error so will often result in death for learners. Honestly, I wouldn't attempt this farm on HC, waaaay to risky. The 3rd vein on the bats area is easy, the first vein in the trolls area, the 2 veins beside the big platform in the troll boss area. These are the easiest veins. But you would be better off doing open world farming in HC, way safer and probably more gold per hour as you wont get the easy ZG veins in every reset. Good luck!

The node @ 12:04 , sometimes there's a beast spawn on the hill to the left that will aggro the left pack. Is this node possible when that spawn is there?

I know what you mean, you could use sap/blind/flash on the right pack, then lay a dummy on the left pack, but you'd only be able to get one hit on the mine and tbh I don't think it's worth it when that particular mob combo is up. When farming I only mine 3/4 veins cause I can do that in 12 mins and then reset, this allows you to ignore the most difficult veins in each reset, saving you time and money on deaths and consumables. Perfect run is ofc zero deaths, 3/4 veins, 12 mins. Sometimes you'll get unlucky and have 2 very difficult veins up, then it's your call on whether you should take the chance of dying or reset. The farm isn't without it's challenges and drawbacks, but it's always there and there's no competition, and you can solo:) I love that about this method.

If you have Master of Decption 5/5 you can jut walk through the middle, if you don't then you need to distract one of the mob packs(either side, I prefer right) so that they are facing away, then just walk behind there back(farthest away from the un-distracted pack on the other side). This works for me without 5/5 master of deception

you can reset like a normal dungeon, as long as you haven't killed any bosses! You can run this farm all day everyday. Make a group with someone(person x), log out, log in with an alt, get invited to the same group as before, person x makes you leader and leaves, now convert party to raid and that's it. You now have your own mini raid and can enter ZG and reset a max of 5 times in 1 hour.

I would never recommend farming like this. You're going to get a lot more gold just running silithus tunnels or better yet, just do BRD for easier gold. This shit is tedious and grinding mobs is more enjoyable than exploiting terrain and using stupid crafting shit. Also who the hell wants to respect to sub just to farm? AWFUL way to play the game.

Dude, each his own opinions/ method. There isn’t a lot of farms for rogues in general and this one is also a test of skill at the same time. Like he said, the music/ambiance and solo farming feels very roguish and I like this method a lot. I used to farm winterspring with a much better efficiency than sillithus but this ZG farm is by far superior!
