@@BrentMalice yea, cath shouldn’t be a problem cause you can juggle the mobs. I’m more afraid of armory because there is no juggling method. I was thinking of clearing herod first and pulling all mobs towards to herod’s room to juggle them on the stairs maybe.

It wasn't clear if the Mara daggers drop rate was increased in Live Classic or TBC? My question is should I go farm the dagger now to prep, or wait for tbc if it will have a higher drop chance there?

I would skip the pack at the bottom of the hill where you go up to slowfall down, quicker runs and not that much less xp. 10 packs I think is prob better.

If you hit dungeon lockout, you want more XP. Instead of sitting around for 5 minutes, you'd be sitting around for 10 minutes but with less XP.

Did you experiment using the Water Elemental pet? Curious since it has the ranged Frost Nova, does the frost nova break from flamestrike DoT damage? Could be sweet locking them in for the full duration of flamestrike DoT

I am using T2 ,just one piece of Naxx gear and I can di ti just fin on level 61 mage without Blade of eternal Darkness. I just spec into Arcane meditation instead of elemental and pop a spirit scroll for comfort. I am bad at using flame strike so I just Blizzard :P. It really doesn't take long to clear at all,

I can confirm that you can do this, in the prepatch, with AH gear and Blade of Eternal Darkness. I have mostly int/sta/spirit gear on. Blues and greens bought on the AH. I used to use a lip strategy so, it took me a couple of tries to get the hang of the new pull, but the kill phase was incredibly easy. Anyone wondering, R1 blizzard down flamestrike up, followed with immediate R1 blizzard while still on the rope, then R1 blizzard down. Repeat and evocate when you have to. The cubs can sometimes start running, but I usually re-engage with blizzard right away. If not, I nova and arcane blast, cone of cold. Thank you, Arlaeus for this info. It’s gold.

There is a bug with AV atm that shares you the lockouts of the leader, that may be why

Since the mana regen is a bit bad could be able to down at least to mastery elements instead of the arcane points and still get ice barrier, or if it is possível to pull without ice barrier could get more mana from the arcane points.... idk for sure

i've been trying with the 8/8 t2 gives you a chance to cast insta flame strike but sometimes it is hard to 8/8 t2 procs also MQG helps a lot but 5 min cd is hard

so in your mara 500 video you said arcane explosion is not subject to the aoe cap. that makes me wonder why u using the bridge here instead of CoC+arcane explosion spam with mara dagger or smth? especially as level 70 the chance the mobs will resist a nova/CoC is insanely low

Thanks for the info. You say things like ~if this is not changed~ in these vids relating to mage aoe. I just want to zoom in on that a bit. This cannot be changed at this point! This is now in beta how it was in tbc. They introduce a PAID leveling boost then nerf mages in some new way that isn't original so they can sell more paid boosts NO WAY, that would be the last time I played any of their games. That would be the height of slimy cash grabbing. Mage boosting should still be possible just as it is now in beta, of course it will be far less popular since it does require you to (at the very least) sit in a group and have to reset constantly and still takes many many hours to have a toon boosted to the 58 point that you can bypass by paying. I personally don't have a high level mage and have not been boosted but even the idea that they would change this to further enrich themselves is disgusting.

I think 15-17 pack will be meta yeh ? Will be able to kill the panthers faster too because those are the last few mobs alive and the blizzard dmg buff

The panthers have so much health. I can't see that being viable. It would take forever to kill them, and the Blood Drinkers would be stealing AoE damage as well. 11 pack pull will probably be best, along with perhaps the Jindo mobs since the voodoo slaves were nerfed.

@@garrymullins it’s about double what the tigers have , and after they are all dead your blizzard will be doing much more dmg and you still have full mana / Evo and all your mana gems at that point

Man this is broken. As it should be, I tried even doing SM on my mage and got waxed after I opened the cath door. I tried mara a few times and didn't even get half way to kill phase. I tried ZG easiest method for lowest exp,etc and still couldn't do it. All the people who are out there saying this should be fixed, are just mad they don't have the skill to do it on their mage. I can't do it, and I still think it should absolutely be a part of the game,,,, because let's be honest. To a lot of people it IS easy, but to MOST,.... not a chance. This shit is hard to get right, and to get right consistently. Again, people who are mad about it, are just mad they aren't Arlaeus.
