Dental Hygienist here! Just wanted to chime in on the tooth gap situation! So, our teeth naturally shift a little bit all throughout our lifetimes. If you don’t floss regularly, your gums get slightly loose around your teeth which allows plaque and tartar to buildup more and also allows your teeth to shift a little easier. Your teeth will often look a little more spaced after a cleaning because the hygienist removed the plaque and tarter that was filling that space, giving the illusion of your teeth being closer together. It probably seems more noticeable because you just got them cleaned and started flossing again! Hope that helps! ❤
@thewadsquad Жыл бұрын
But I never noticed the gap my entire life! 💀 my teeth have definitely been shifting more- love your explanation! Thanks so much for the insight! I’ve flossed every day since. Let’s hope I keep up with it 😂

Kim, I think you should do a podcast. To be perfectly honest, I only watch you're cleaning videos to listen to you talk. Cleaning videos have never been my favorite type of video but yours is just so fun because it's almost like listening to an old friend. Thanks so much for all you do. Oh and I have a Reese's hearts addiction to too. 😂

Kim my house never looked like yours. I feel like my house was a lot cleaner. That being said, I didn’t have 5 kids or deal with their busy lives. I didn’t cook like you either. I applaud your efforts and enthusiasm at dealing with the real life day in and day out responsibilities. I also am in at awe how much you entertain not only your children’s friends but yours and Alex’s as well. Be kind to yourself…you are doing better than the majority. Good enough? You’re killing it!!!

Hubby had said 1 more and we had 2 more. He said after that ok my heart is full. Me I would have had more. So I did pass on my maternity clothes in 2017 and cry. Then finally 4 years later of him fearing a vasectomy (me hoping for an oops baby) he webt and had it done. He literally said dang I should have done this sooner! It's such a hard transition since we had tried for 10 years and finally had our first. Going from trying to never again was definitely a huge transition in my brain. So you take your time and donate when you want to.

😂Kim I nearly died laughing at the audio of you screaming at that bug! I too struggle with self care. I have been doing a self care log and if I get more days than not with me doing my full routine, I call it better and that’s what my realistic goal is. What’s been helping me is when I go to the bathroom at the end of the night, wash my hands then I set up all my products. I put toothpaste on my toothbrush, put floss on my flosser, mouthwash in my little cup, and face wash on my face cloth, open my moisturizer, and pull out my hair brush. That way I have to do my full routine before I can put anything away. I only have a tiny stand to put things on so it MUST be put away. Sometimes I use a little tray to set on top of the stand so I have more room. I used to make fun of my husband for having such a set routine like “an old man” when we were in our 20’s but you know what? He never had a problem forgetting about things he made a routine. I’ve been successful when I stick to a specific routine it’s just that it’s easy to get off it when you’re tired or sick or busy, which, … gosh find a day where one of those things isn’t true and I’ll introduce you to my unicorn. 😉 I love watching your cleaning videos. It’s real life mess not just a few toys here and there and it looks so great afterward. It’s satisfying. It makes me feel like it doesn’t matter how messy things get, it can be picked up and reset back to looking good again. If my friend Kim can do it with all she has on her plate, then I can too.

I just love your honesty in your videos and life. my 40th bday is tomorrow and we r expecting our 5th and final, so when you speak about self love and "me time" I can relate. I found that making an accomplishment chart, just for basic self care, when I'm bringing in a new routine helps SOOO MUCH. it takes 66 days to create and unconscious habit. I NEVER FLOSS, so im committed with you. after completing my morning accomplishments, I'll sit and enjoy a protein shake before getting the kiddos up and out for school. WE GOT THIS MAMA

The ones that you get from like tractor supply and stuff. The quality is not good. Also, check out roots and refuge. They have a lot of really good gardening tips. Make sure that you put cardboard on the bottom of your beds. It really helps. We are just north of you and we started with a couple of fruit trees and now we’ve got over 30 and 13 raised garden beds. Oh Kim, you entertain me so much! I don't floss hardy ever 73yrs. My husband keeps telling me to do it. But I just don't very often. I only have my front top & bottom & a couple molars in the back one on 1 side & bottom 1 one each side! So I just don't do it. I know how it was with kids. A lot to clean two! I had 4, then had my tubes tied! But I went through a period of not having another baby & to get rid of my maternity clothes, I didn't l have a whole lot. But I did it! I'm tall so didn't show too much untill the last one. He was 9lbs 12oz & 21ins.long So a big baby like yours. Mine looked like he was around 4mos. Didn't fit in newborn or 6mos clothes for very long. It had to be almost a 1yr for his clothes. His long sleeves sleepers were to short for him. He had long arms & big feet! Now he's 6'4" & around 180lbs. & good looking! You're house looks great! Thanks for sharing everything! ♥️☺️🫂

Try using peroxide for the kitchen drain cover. It also works as a disinfectant. I even use it to clean flower pots before planting. I can use it anywhere. Cleans and disinfects. Zucchini tomatoes cucumbers and peppers are easy to grow.. add a little pet moss and perlite or vermiculite.. Sun and Water. And speak kindly to your plants. It easier to use small plants to start. Tomatoes plant deep in the soil. Good luck Maybe a garden before the chickens😀🤗. Have a good weekend. Take some time for yoursel

Put compost on the bottom of the garden bed or pot with potting soil on top. The roots of the plants when they grow will reach the compost and trive (check out Gardening with Creekside on KZbin. Also, if the garden beds are on top of the ground, put down newspapers, then cardboard then put the compost and soil ontop of that. Keeps the weeds out.
@zaria5785 Жыл бұрын
The compost method is fine if you have really deep garden beds (Mark from Self Sufficient Me does this). Otherwise the plants will compete for nutrients and space. Even though veggies will reach to a depth of 12 inches …root veggies will grow deeper I’ve found. Plus you need to amend that soil with lime and N-P-K fertilizer as needed. The compost will not be decomposed and ready for plants to uptake nutrients at the same rate the plants grow. It may take up to 6 months of preparation before planting.

My sister and her husband came down for an overnight stay, and it forced us to clean and declutter our house and take down our Christmas tree! Yes, we leave it up until the end of January!! Our grandkids, 2 and 4 years old, LOVE all the colored lights, we put throughout the house, and we love them too, so we keep them up! We don't usually get visitors, since we live in the country, so, since our 4 kids left the nest, and my husband retired, we've been quite LAX on decluttering and cleaning, until a guest is coming. We grumble the entire time, but after it's done, appreciate living in a clean, tidy house!

This is what I needed today! I am doing a whole-ish house clean today. I have a HUGE list. My husband and I are hoping to move where we can have chickens, one tip in case you haven't thought of it, make sure your coop has a top, it will help keep animals out. Our friends has to run chicken wire across the top of theirs to keep out hawks. However, our garden did pretty good last year, except, we planted cucumbers and 😬 yuck, they were very bitter, we had to throw all of them away😔, but maybe this year will be better. Like you said, just trying to be a little more self-sufficient. Hope you have an amazing day Kim and other women across the room! 😁

I had the same conversation with my dentist recently! I now keep them in my car and floss on the way to work and on the way home, most days.. 😂 baby steps! Love how relatable you are!

I bought a water flosser it's much quicker and easier. I was like you hardly ever flossed. I still don't do it everyday but I do do it a few times a week. I do it anytime I do have time it doesn't have to be same time as brushing that's what my dentist told me. I love that you are so honest xxx

🎶Flossy flossy 🎶 Youre killing it Kim! I had ACL surgery last Friday, and this video gives me hope for when I can walk, clean, and have energy again 🥰 You're a great motivator and encourager!
