Getting Rid Of Crap, Making Food, Cleaning, Decluttering, Lunch, All The Things Let's Do It Together

Hey party people! Thanks so much for hanging out with me while I share with you this new around the house happenings! in this video I had some decluttering to do. I had so many toys to get rid of that have just been lingering around. First I tackled my living room table full of random goodies. I made some lunch which was weird... lol but good - then I cleaned my house a bit! Finishing up my decluttering upstairs with more toys and ... more toys. haha so many toys I guess this is more of a toy declutter and just random stuff that is lingering around that we don't use! Hope this gives you some motivation to get something done around your house or declutter a bit of stuff that is around that you don't need either. Or keep it - it's fine. Maybe you'll need it in the future ;-) lol

I had a rule in our house. If you get something out to play with, you put it away before getting out the next thing. I said I would throw out the toys if not put back where they belong. Some ended up in the trash. Big learning curve. I wasn't mean, just trying to teach respect for their things.

When my son was 5 we went to Canada to visit a friend who was a zookeeper at the Toronto Zoo. We got a behind the scenes look at all the animals. My son was most impressed with the seagulls in the parking lot and the wild bunny in the Rhino enclosure, He also prefered the box the toys came in ,than the toy. I totally agree kids don't need a million toys. They are easy to please! I've never had mayo on a monte crisco. It is usually jam or mapple syrup.

When we were little, grandma had a huge sand box...that's what I'm putting back this year..sqyare wooden box...with the seats in the corner, just like hers...and a digger...excavater..thingy we had, we loved it

Nothing like a good declutter to welcome spring! We've traveled all over the house and gave Mr. Clutter the heave ho. We do the same with a mound of sand for the kids. Every year we get a truck load and pile it up next to their swing set. They LOVE it 🎉

THANK YOU for the declutter inspiration! I have to agree with the minimal toy thing. At first my oldest didn’t have much because we didn’t. As we became more established we bought and received more and more. You know, get them everything we always wanted and didn’t have. We noticed the kids didn’t play with the toys as much as their collection grew. So I began to box things up. They were all fired up finding toys they forgot all about and thought I had tossed. I found that 2 totes (18 gallon) was about all my boys could handle. I say 2 because some toys are just bulky. My oldest loves art so there was a dedicated art box but the same applied to that. Keep it simple. But any more than that and not only is it hard to find what they want to play with but hard to tidy up and they don’t even want to take stuff out because of the cleanup after. Now my oldest is out of the house and my youngest has his collectibles and some select toys he likes to keep around. But his things still are about 2 totes full. I also noticed their creativity was boosted- not as much complaining of boredom when we pared it all down. Strange but true.

As a grandmother, I use vanilla extract on my babies gums. Never k new this when I was raising my girls. It works great.

My daughter liked using my tub bc it had jets, & my stand alone shower, & I'd often have 4-5 Barbies at my feet whenever I took a shower, & Littlest Pets all over the drain. In my bathtub there were beanie babies (w/o the tags) that, surprisingly, dried quickly & could be washed. Meanwhile, her bathtub was pristine, while mine was a tiny play area, but I knew it was temporary, & she was having fun:) I miss those days so much now, & my energy!

With the toy minimum thing. I found when my kids were toddler age having just one small basket of their toys worked well and every week I would switch the ones they didn’t play with much that week for the toys I had put up in a closet.

My mom worked for Publix bakery for thirty years and there is no raisin paste in there cookies. They come in frozen dough pieces from Lakeland and when they made them from scratch mix it was just regular sugar cookie recipe and regular chocolate chip cookie recipe. My mom started back in the early 80’s when everything was made from scratch. The only thing made from scratch is the bread. She has been retired from publix for going on 8 years. I love all your videos I wish I had your energy, back in my day when I was young and my 3 girls were babies was the most joyful of my life. I had the energy to clean my house and now I'm working as a house keeper 1 day a week and the other 6 days I work in laundry in a Healthcare facility, I'm going g to be 65 in March 27 and I hardly have the energy to clean my home, I work 3 to 11 in laundry at night I really admire you and your videos there so uplifting

I was cleaning the fridge last night, with a migrane, while watching Amanda and This Crazy Life. Then I did some work on the pantry. My husband made a comment about it being late when I started to get ready for bed. I told him that if everyone just put their stuff away when they finished with it, I would have so much time. Gosh, the Monster High dolls made my heart hurt, I am an adult who collects them, lol. Those zipper bags you used for the board games, when you first showed them a while ago, I bought a bunch on amazon but I use them for my cross stitch projects. I had been paper clipping my fabric to the patterns (I dye my own fabrics so I had alot), & it was getting so jumbled up. Those bags were a life saver & I am glad you showed them. When I raised my kids in the 90's & 00's, I WISH I had known about tray bakes! I saw you doing so many where you just put it all together on a sheet & toss it in the oven. That would have made my life so much easier back then. I have been doing it quite a bit now, even though it is just our youngest & us here. I just made one tonight (kielbasa, mini colored potatoes, green beans & broccoli). Broccoli lightly crisped in the oven is so good! I am so glad I came across your videos a couple years ago with the tiny hands, lol. The first video I saw you was showing a grocery haul video with those tiny hands & it cracked me up, I hit the subscribe button & never looked back lol.

When our kids were little, my husband left a 15 foot square patch of dirt. The boys had more fun over the years. We unearthed matchbox cars and trucks, years later. Well worth the time. The only rule was straight to the shower when you were through playing. They used to take the hose and squirt each other off too. Good times!!,
