I saw these guys live three times in the space of four days in 2016... they played this song at every show... the house lights are totally down for the chorus, and the entire audience turns their cell phone lights on every time he sings “The light”... and the whole audience sings “The Light”

This was one of their slower songs. David has an amazing voice and Disturbed is one of my favorite bands. Listen to Stricken, Inside the Fire, The Vengeful One and Indestructible. Their lyrics deal with a lot of social issues (suicide, the government, etc.).

you have alot of in sight into the real world and life as it really is i can tell you have more you want to say but you cant. i have lived a life that has made me understand exactly what you arent saying . I was a firefighter medic for 30 years in norolk virginia wich is only about 2 hours from you i was injthured very badly in my early yrs of my career , that covers the video part the lyrical part of this song to me is 2 things if you havent had fight to survive a accident or tragedy in life you cant be thankful for the light also to become the light you have to have lived the darkness not so much in the struggle to recover from injury but to have lived on that dark side of life that makes you thank that you come out of the other side still human and with empathy for you fellow man. but knowing you are able to do what is needed to right any wrongs and protect anyone that is in need no matter the cost that may fall on yourself to do what is right
