Some other great songs of hers include "(We Want) the Same Thing," "Mad About You," "Summer Rain," "La Luna," "I Feel the Magic," "Circle in the Sand," "Little Black Book," "Always Breaking My Heart," "California," "Runaway Horses." One of my early crushes as a young teenage boy. The Go-Go's were and are one of the best female bands and Belinda broke out and went solo. She made some huge pop hits. This was one but you need to check out - "Mad About You", "Circle in The Sand", "Summer Rain". Belinda was a teenager when she started with the Go-Go's and the band didn't last long even while they produced a ton of songs so quickly. She was young when she went solo and such a beauty! Even today she is stunning.

The Go-Go’s were hard core and lived that “sex, drugs and rock ‘n roll” lifestyle in their younger days. Do not let their glossy pop image fool you. Of course, they eventually cleaned up. The Go-Go’s were inducted into the Rock ‘n Roll Hall of Fame a couple of years ago.

Belinda's got one of those voices that's instantly recognisable. Her vibrato is unique to her. She hit such a sweet spot in her career at this stage. The Go-Go's were great but I loved her music more when she went solo. And I'm singing along again. Cheers guys, Paul.👍📀😀❤️

The only other singer that had a few songs was if i can spell her last name correctly Jane Weilden came out with the song Behind the Wheel had a video to it as well. Then she played Joan of Arc on Bill and Teds first movie. She was also dating the lead singer of The Specials that wrote the song Our lips are Sealed which was a hit for the GoGo's.

Well Belinda is older NOW! She will turn 65 next month. (She's one day younger than Madonna, thankfully without Mo's health problems.) She's doing a solo tour right now, as the Go-Gos disbanded last year. She released her first solo album this century in May. (A bunch of Diane Warren songs, but still.) In greater Chicago on Sunday and Dayton on Tuesday, but after than it's the coasts and then Australia, so you could be out of luck.

Had a great solo career after the Go Go’s, I saw her supporting Tina Turner on a stadium tour and she was brilliant. Highlight of this song is the slide guitar played by George Harrison who was an admirer of her music and keen to help out. She is a very underrated artist.

Belinda Carlisle is so amazing! I always loved her music, and finally a few years back I got to see her live at Salt Lake City Pride. She was amazing live. She still sings beautifully. Make sure to listen to some of her songs with the Go-Gos. In terms of her solo songs, I really love the song “Circle in the Sand.”

When Belinda did this album (Runaway Horses), she was hands down THE most beautiful woman on the planet. This video was total drool-fuel. Every teenage boy in the world was dreaming of his life together with her. Runaway Horses is killer from beginning to end; it doesn't have a bad song and every track could have been a hit. Strangely, it didn't chart as well as her previous two albums which were nowhere near as good. Ever since it came out, I've had it on my top-5 list of perfect pop-rock albums. Summer Rain was the other big hit off it, but La Luna, We Want the Same Thing, Runaway Horses, and Vision of You all charted. Valentine is my favourite song.

Carlisle's first solo album was great (got it first on cassette when it first came out), her second solo album was a blockbuster (video and songs played constantly), her third album (this song on the album), was more mature. The teased, spiky hair 80’s had given way to a long, more natural looking hair, sound and appearance in the early 90's.

I know this is a late late comment. But I was just vegging out , watching videos on KZbin and this reaction came up and brought back memories. I was there for two different parts of this video. On one of the many vacations my parents took me and my sister along with them to Vegas with them, they were filming this video. A lot of the outdoor, desert scenes with the multicolored rocky backgrounds were filmed at Valley of Fire and .y family and I were visiting it and hiking around when we , basically stumbled upon the production. So we ended up watching Belinda filming scenes that are in the video. We also happened to be downtown on Fremont Street another time and they were filming there and we were some of the people in the background . I was never able to pick us out of the crowd , but I was there . It's a memory that has always stuck with me in many ways. Probably because I was around 16 at the time and had a crush on Belinda. I haven't been able to remember the name of the song/video for a long time it was cool to see it again and those memories come back clearer. And yes, Belinda was even more beautiful in person than video. Thanks for the memories

George Harrison plays the great slide guitar solo on this song. He called it one of his best guitar solos ever. When he left the Beatles, he developed a signature slide guitar style that was instantly identifiable. It's all over his solo albums, but he recorded guitar parts for a lot of other singers and bands too.
