I hope that people who have made negative comments here come to appreciate the skills and imagination of this guy someday. Those are the hallmarks of any good inventor. If you happen to dislike the project at hand, move on. He's not in the business of pleasing you. He's in the business of finding the limits (if indeed there are any) of what is possible. This person is one of the rare people who not only thinks outside of the box, he doesn't even think there IS a box. I admire him no matter what he works on.

My friend, when you get off your pulpit stick your suggestion where sun doesn't shine! Everyone should speak their minds without sensor. Just my opinion. Ps. You can get a air pump at Walmart for $10.99.

Dear HandCraft, The first thing I saw was your hands and I thought this is my dad! No fooling! Both parents raised 9 of us and both had a work commitment. How many 8 y/o's in '67 and today learned how to wash out diapers in the toilet then rinse and ready them for the wash. They really had it tough growing up pretty much like the rest but family stuck together and almost lost dad in the WWII twice. Near misses...A Jap torpedo went under the bow of the gasoline ship he was on as it raised up in rough waters and another time he felt the heat of a Jap snipers bullet pass his head on deck while writing to mom. He decided to finish letter down below...Nother words, I wouldn't be here a writing. But anyway, you sir are amazing! I bet there isn't anything you can't tackle? Dad taught us all but though I'm close to symmetrically equal I do not have full use of my right side. But I can sure think things through and even better when my hands are on it...Remember folks, whether or not it is out of necessity, there's a special love for hands on creating, we all catch up sooner or later in that department. It really is fun! Apprenticeships must come back in every field...Thank you. Sincerely, Don Suiters Clearwater Florida USA

It is not about $5 or $10 item, it is about a creative ideal. It is about a father, an uncle... who is able to make a bike pump for his son or his niece/nephew... if someone had made me this pump when I was a kid, that would have been one of the best gift of my childhood. Thank you for the video my friend, you are such a skillful person. I wish I have a guy like you in my shop

You ever think these videos aren't made to save a few bucks or to get something done quickly and cheap? I think they are made to stir the imagination and innovation of the viewer. To encourage vision which takes time. I can only imagine how many of our greatest inventions started off as "Big wastes of time" to the general public, when something quicker could have been done. Why waste a bunch of time developing the light bulb when you can quickly strike a match? We know the benefits now after the story is complete. Visionaries see the ending at the very beginning.

I have been in South Korea and you would not believe what they can make and fix. I had a friend who had a water pump go out on his American Ford car and they pressed out the old bearing and seals, fabricated new ones and reassembled it. My friend had ordered a new one which took six weeks to arrive but he was waiting for the fabricated one to fail before he put the new one on, but it never failed in at least two years!

I recently discovered your channel - well KZbin A.I. did by putting this in my recommendations - and am super glad because I'm really impressed. Beyond your skills and amazing creativity, I really like that you aren't explaining anything and videos are immediately showing you building something. Not only am I learning things, it's really fun trying to guess what you're creating. This pump blew me away, had no idea what type of pump you were creating until you screwed on the hose! Anyone that dislikes your videos doesn't get the point and frankly are the people that will be first to die when a great apocalypse hits. Yourself and those of us with skills will survive in the under world.

Ok, if you've already got the equipment it's sort of an interesting thing to do, but the resulting gadget is really too heavy to carry on a bike.
