It doesn't feel manufactured or fake. So I am happy that they are very successful and I hope they continue to be. I think when you are that successful, your attitude and the way you treat your fanbase is what matters, not the idea of you being "indie". I don't get how people can be so clueless when it comes to business expenses. People need to realize employers have a TON of things they have to pay for like vacation, insurance, social security, taxes, UNEMPLOYMENT, other shows on their schedule, etc. They have to pay for the building their company resides in, all the fixtures and furniture, the electricity, bandwidth used for their web site and the fact that #CriticalRole pays union wages. The cast has said in interviews they take minimum SAG/AFTRA wages to pay themselves with, which also means in order to LIVE in California (one of the most expensive places in the world to live) they must continue getting separate voice acting jobs so THEY can pay the rent. Anyone complaining about Critical Role needs to go take a small business class that explains how much employers are actually liable for and stop falling down a QANON hole. SMH.

It's true our entire system for elections is messed up in VA. Maculiff was looked into by the FBI in the past for his campaign finance and funding. What is illegal other places is legal here. I was really hoping he would loose the primary, he has a terrible history with Dominion energy and pipelines. Most of rural VA get water from wells and other ground sources, if we build pipelines in the mountains and they leak people are f*cked. That said there is no way I would vote for Youngkin. He would do all of the worst things I'm afraid Maculiff will do and more.

Critical Role gets paid because Critical Role is not a singular person playing video games. Lets break it down a little; 1. Has a full set that must be paid for to maintain and a set builder who must also be paid 2. A studio location that needs to have it's rent paid for. 3. Camera operators that need to be paid. 4. Sound operators that need to be paid. 5. Editors that need to be paid. 6. Artists that need to be paid for their contributions to campaigns, merch, etc. 7. Behind the scenes staff members THAT NEED TO BE PAID. 8. It actually takes money to maintain a charity, shocking I know. I could continue except I think I've made my point. There are more people who work to make Critical Role possible, it's not just the main cast and their friends they invite on to the show shot in someone's house. Thats whats so inane by those "Its not indie/Its a business now" arguments. Yes, no shit it's a business, its has employees that need to also make a living you absolute numpties. People who make that argument like the money goes right into Matt Mercer's pocket or something when in reality the show is still technically not their full time jobs.

@bapo2242 жыл бұрын
@Kyle Kyle He was mad about getting doxxed, literally any streamer would get mad about their address being leaked... The price of his house is not what he was mad about. And yes, of course he doesn't just throw away his money, that's not how it works. It's like a single drop of water on a hot plate, it does nothing. He's advocating for increased taxes for the rich and would happily pay those extra taxes because that would actually achieve something. Also note that the relative difference in wealth between someone like him and someone like Elon or Bezos is like 5000-20000 times larger than the difference in wealth between him and the average American.
