I want say thank you for this video. I started with a garrison which was used only during leveling in Shadowlands which did not have a naval yard of course. I was able to get 2 heirloom rings in 1.5 months

Once you have your shipyard, which would be good to have a link to describe how to get, this guide is pretty good. But for someone who did not play WOD and didn't have a shipyard, and didn't realize it takes a level 3 garrison to spawn a shipyard...I spent a lot of frustrated hours trying to figure out things that were not well explained in this video. After I got the shipyard, the video was pretty good.

Hey guys to unlock the shipyard you must have a level 3 Garrison and then you should get a questline called "Garrison War Council", this questline will send you to Tanaan Jungle to unlock the shipyard! If you would like to additional reading just to unlock the Garrison Shipyard please read: www.wowhead.com/guides/garrisons/shipyard - Additionally once you have the garrison shipyard simply follow the advice and guidance in this video. Tried getting another ring in the past, gave up on it, Shadowlands hit, now for the Heirloom bonus to take effect, you need every single piece to be Heirloom, that includes a bloody ring...so here i am! (altho the removal of the 40-50% extra exp is kinda annoying...but the 60% slower rested consuming is nice)

Just wanted to point out that you DON'T need a ring for the full bonus. There are 7 different parts of the heirloom item set, but the bonus caps at 6: (2) Set: Rested experience consumed is reduced by 30%. (4) Set: Increases your out-of-combat regeneration in the outdoors, normal dungeons, and battlegrounds. (5) Set: Gaining a level triggers Burst of Knowledge, dealing (X) Holy damage to nearby enemies and granting you 40% (Primary Stat) for 2 min. Defeating additional enemies extends this effect, up to 2 min. (6) Set: Rested experience consumed is reduced up to 30%.

Anyone know if this is still possible/necessary in TWW expansion? Pretty new to WoW, but it's my understanding that some of these heirlooms are now purchasable from heirloom vendors and guild vendors. But I can't find the Dread Pirate Ring anywhere but this questline

Not sure on the best ship setup it's difficult to predict because it's all about what the game gives you as opponents in ship fights :)

the rings are fluff. What is funny is that the very best one is actually the legion mission necklace, wich you'll get a max level, so only usefull if you play 2 characters of the same class.

You need shipyard level 3 then to just wait for the missions to spawn on bottom left or top right. Dont mess about with any missions that arent in those areas.

@@Hieroglyphics87 sure so unfortunately buddy there's no easy way I had to do it the same way I didn't have any of this area unlocked on my current characters. I just did the quest chains until I unlocked the shipyard then I got the spy glass an each day I logged in and checked the missions morning an night. I used my garrison hearthstone and also started working on the rest of my garrison because you can make a lot of money from those buildings ! :) Good luck buddy wish I could help more. When you have the shipyard unlocked just do all missions until shipyard lvl 3 then only focus on bottom left and top right missions until the right one spawns.

nngh, I handed in the quest and it used the blueprint to complete the quest, then when I go to buy the item it's not available and says I need the blueprints.

Been working my way through this guide, got my spyglass, put it on a ship, sending ships out on missions.... but I noticed I don't have any missions on the top right as you suggest to focus on in this video? I only have missions in the bottom left first starting out, is this normal?

You have to complete a few quest in the shipyard to be able to buy the Ghostly Spyglass. You cant just buy it right away

By the time you finally unlock the ring, you probably be to high level to use it. Really wish they would stop making items so hard to get when in relation to time. We shouldn't have to spent days or weeks trying to get one item that is only usable on low level characters. Really take away the fun aspec of it all.

The process is more complicated than you explained it sir. There are blockade missions that you need to do on daily bases that requires more farm than killing ironbeard. A perfect example would be, hellfire citadel. You need a piece from there that will increase your mission chance of success. Another thing is the continuous farm of oil and even doing garrison quests for garrison resources. I wish it was as easy as you make it sound but it’s not. I gave up after farming for 1 month.

Garrisons were so good i dont know why they had to ruin them i miss my gold farming. i sigh every time i garrison hearth because it was such a cool and unjustly hated feature. people have a habbit of blaming the wrong thing as to why a game sucks. diablo3 it was the real money auction house rather than the poor item drops in the game forcing you to use the AH, in WoD it was the garrisons made you not need to play the game...... Well there was no game to play they barely patched the expansion to try and push a new agenda of 1 expansion per year. which they failed at as wod was what like a 2+ year expansion
