ToneyReactions this is Lonn but please read this to understand their lyrics: the first part you got it wrong , it's well translated. Actually they put a explanation of what the first rapper was referring ( it said shi*ty background). People that don't lived in SK don't tend to understand and misinterpret what jhope ( the first rapper ) meant. He was referring what the Korean society said about people backgrounds , if you came from a good background ( family with money , have privilege, good mannered , connections, well behave citizen , etc ) you will have opportunities in life aka you will find sooner or later success, this people are called "silvers spoon" , meanwhile people with bad backgrounds ( came from poor family , bad mannered , went into jail , did ilegal stuff , don't have money , bad behave citizen , does bad in school , don't have connections, etc ) won't have opportunities in life , it doesn't matter how much they tried they will never be a silver spoon , they are called "dirty spoon ". BtS were called "dirty spoon" on their beginnings cuz they came from a small company that almost went bankrupt and have no connections in the media , so no exposure in Korean audience ( that's why they became popular in social media cuz they use them as their only platform to show themselves, that's why they got a lot of fans overseas and were known more overseas than in their own country , in their beginning) , groups that debut on those type of agencies don't make it , or not last long enough to even make it cuz their companies get into debts cuz they don't get money from sales since they don't tend to have much fans cuz they have low exposure. BtS has literally done a song about it called "silver spoon" or bapsade " ( that how you say dirty spoon in Korean) were they referenced them as that but it's more about the generation since the older generation in SK got more jobs that today generation cuz there is a lot of people in a small country. But in mic drop jhope references to that issue when the media called them dirty spoon , so here he said that he is a golden spoon ( like even better that those so called silver spoon ) and at the end he eat them all with his skills , meaning that what make him big are his skill not his background and even beat people with better backgrounds. BtS references to this A LOT in their songs specially after they were called like that. In the song Fire they said that people aren't spoons they are just people and they are just tying to live their lives ( that song is about the "freedom of the youth " with references from the SK system is with the younger people ( teens and young adults ). They talks about this cuz they got into the same issues and not one can say they were lazy at school that's why they criticized it cuz RM ( the leader ) was basically the best , he can literally study in the best universities what ever he wanted. But his passion were in music , in writing music that started with hip hop. Anyway I recommend to understand their background to watch "the rising of Bangtan " docuseries on KZbin. It give you the context cuz again context on their lives makes you understand their music. It's literally their story.

If it's an official MV from Bangtantv or Hybe Labels then the lyrics are correct. You have to remember that some things translate a bit differently when you go from Korean to English. What the first rapper was saying is that many steaks aren't cooked properly but he will still be at star's dinners (ie fancy dinners or award dinners) eating them and haters can't. What the second rapper is saying is the slang "My Bad" like sorry you aren't good enough to get worldwide etc.

I’m so glad that you see how BTS is so much more than the standard boyband stereotype they are perceived to be! Many comparisons of them to boy bands in the past, like you said, aren’t comparable! For me personally the band I honestly relate BTS to the most would be Queen, because of their versatility of genre, blending of genre, connection with audience and fans, and their stage presence. The closeness of the members as friends/family only builds the band up more. Many people relate them to Beatles, and I think that’s accurate in the sense of how big they are which is just like how huge and big Beatles were, but I tend to relate BTS to Queen more than any other band.

They are UNBELIEVABLY TALENTED!! They make music in all genre’s and it’s all 🔥! You know what else I love about them, they all have solo projects on the side, so they can share their own unique music without stepping away from the group! It’s seems like here in the US when that 1 “star” in the group (Beyoncé, JT, MJ) got too big, they left the group! This group stays together and their label allows them to put out solo music as well! I think that’s genius! You gained a sub... I can’t wait to watch you on your journey to becoming Army! I’m truly an OT7, but my bias is Jimin, who I’m sure is the one you called a girl in the Dynamite vid... I’ll have to watch it! He is a phenomenal vocalist and an inspirational, incredible dancer! He reminds me of MJ a lot! They are all so amazing and more importantly, down to earth, regular people! Looking forward to seeing you experience them more!! 💜✌🏻

The thing with BTS is, the members are completely different from each other and each of them could easily be a solo artist (they actually also do their own stuff). Them together in one group brings a lot of diversity and a lot of different music types. Therefore they literally could/can do anything. Like my name says they work together as a team and adjust to each other, which makes them very special

You were correct that this was a mild diss track and a last word and a goodbye to their haters. they don't have a set genre at all, as was mentioned, they write songs about what they, and we and the world, might be feeling, then they produce it and we love it, it is one of the ways they connect with us. I'm 53, been a BTS fan since around 2015-2016, they haven't' reached their pinnacle yet, they just seem to keep growing, and it makes me proud to be an Army, check out a few of their videos, maybe a few videos about who they are and where they came from. I loved your reaction.

Thank you so much for checking this one out - really glad you enjoyed it. There is nothing like BTS in music today, and taking the journey to get familiar with them and their music is 100% worth your time. Hope you enjoy, however you choose to go about it. I see tons of recommendations here, so I'll spare you, but I'm for sure looking forward to when you check out the rappers' solo work, as well as the songs by the whole rap-line. And whatever else you choose as well. BTS has so much great music. I really liked your take on the song. It is, in fact, a last farewell to their haters. I know lots of fans want them to write more Cyphers (and who knows what the future will bring), but I really love that they said this almost 4 years ago, and they've stuck to it. Their haters get no more of their time, or space in their heads. They seem to be moving on to addressing broader cultural issues. Their song 'UGH' speaks to the current climate online & in society toward destructive anger & rage. It's really a phenomenal song. Anyway. Thank you so much for taking the time to read so many of our comments after your last video. And thank you for giving BTS a chance. I hope you find the journey worthwhile. 💜

BTS 2nd fully english song/music video called Butter will be coming out on May 21st. Hope you will react to it when it comes out. Lets try to break Dynamite's record of the most viewed video in 24 hours. Dynamite had 101.1 million views in the first 24 hours. Yes, BTS versatility is crazy. @@ToneyReactions And to give you a little more perspective into that, “Butter” is Korean slang for “too white/too westernised”. In English we also have words like “cheesy/corny” I’ve heard it comes from the fact that westerners use a lot more grease on their food than in Asian cuisine For example when a Korean-American has bad pronounciation when speaking Korean, they’d say like “oh your pronounciation is so butter”. BTS has gotten criticism for their english single, people were saying they’d traded their Koreanness/ authenticity for fame in the global market (which makes no sense, as technically the album Dynamite is from, wasn’t even meant to be released, it was because of COVID.) So I’m definitely getting a sarcastic, f you vibe from the title “Butter”, as in “lmao we aint westernized, we just versatile”

I'm 57 years old, I was fan of Queen, Scorpions, Led Zeppelin when I was younger, but for me, BTS is the best group ever. They have something special, as artists and as human being, thats' why ARMY may be sometime too much "passionate" and overprotective with the boys , who face a lot of hardship, racism and mistreatment along the years and even now. But we are always happy to see someone discover BTS. They supposed to be a hip hop group before they debuted as Kpop idols, so the have a lot of hip hop and rap in their early stuff, but they change a lot since the years (they made their début in 2013) and want to express themselves without any musical gender tags. That's why ARMY said" BTS have no genre, BTS is the genre". For a quick taste, I recomend you : Outro:Tear (live at Wembley), by the rap line(RM, Suga, JHope) , the rap witch make me fall in love with the rap LOl ! Also, "On Kinetic Manifesto" , "Black Swann", and maybe "Airplanes P2"
@cindylepo67843 жыл бұрын
They only have over 300 songs. All bangers. And when we say they do everything we mean everything. They make fusion music, everything from rap, hip hop, pop, rock, r&b, edm...etc. I'm 53. I've been ARMY for 5 years. They make music for everything. React to: Fake Love ON (kinetic manifesto come prime) Black Swan They don't like to be boxed into one genre.

You did a great reaction, unlike many others, you give the lyrics the respect they deserve. This mic drop was inspired by Barak Obama. Ratatouille I may refer to the actual food item often found at buffets. This song was a farewell to former friends in the industry that abandoned them, mocked them and viciously criticized BTS as they debuted. Stay well

i like that you look into the lyrics. BTS lyrics are very important part of their art. Dynamite however is not written by the boys so it does not reflect the lyricism evident in their other tracks. sorry if some are being over protective. Only because BTS and ARMY have been a subject of so much negative issues so the need to correct information right from the start is very vital to us. Also, the boys and the fandom have been used by so many clout chasers hence, we value genuine interest and reactions.
