When the line's east extension to Antipolo, Rizal opened on July 5, 2021, Line 2 became the first rapid transit line extending outside the Metro Manila area.
Future plans include a three-station westbound extension in the City of Manila and another proposed eastbound extension from Antipolo station in Masinag towards Cogeo and downtown Antipolo.

Dyan ako sumasakay papuntang school RTU Boni. Isang tricycle then sakay lrt antipolo to lrt cubao then sakay mrt cubao to boni then isang jeep. Big help tlaga!
