I’m a big fan of bratwurst. I love cooking my sausages in the air fryer because you get that great crispy snap. I’d deffo prefer a softer bun though. Great review G.

Great review Gareth I'll definitely be asking the missus to pick these up o her way home from work. I agree with preferring the softer bun, maybe a normal hotdog bun would be better? Anyhoo, cheers again and I hope your wife likes what you did with the sausage you gave her!

One thing that I usually do with the rolls is scoop out a good amount of the innards and feed it to the birds. This cuts down on the carbs and balances the tastes of meat and bread.

I can honestly say that I have never had a bad German sausage but I've had a couple of bad Polish ones. At one point I really thought that you were gonna do all four!

It’s a meal kit it’s got sauce and buns too so saves you having to buy everything separately which would cost a lot more as everything is usually sold in 4s. The only thing I find dubious about this type of thing is meat traceability / origin, EU is not acceptable imo, very ambiguous, so I don’t buy it unless it’s British.

but it doesn't have the chips, tomato, lettuce, cheese and whatever else is being shown in the picture on the box. I think that is misleading and you cant just open the box to look inside, you have to examine in detail the small print so how much would it cost to make the meal shown on the box?

I used to love buying a Bratwurst mit pomfrits & mayonnaise from the local takeaway when I visited Germany....nice to see them on sale in the UK. I believe Asda have been selling them for a while, but not always stocked.

im scottish but got some geman family and the germans are miles better at sausages and cold meats compared to what we get in the uk..for sure keep your eyes out for some german cold meats to try and review if you ever go down that route.. thanks for the video too mate, love watching the channel when im snacking ... its a double guilty pleasure that way lol

Everything in moderation. Using nitrates to preserve the meat so it has a longer shelf life is the price we have to pay for cheaper food.

Hey Gaz I thought you should know that I made a specific trip to Iceland over the weekend to hunt down one of those Peperami pizzas, based entirely on your review. I dolled mine up a bit with a little bit of added mushroom and green pepper. I have to day, it was damn nice for a £3.50 pizza! I'm going to go find them Schnitzels next, again based on your review! I'm very glad I found your unique down-to-earth, relatable, amusing and useful channel!

"Mate" ... !!!!!!!!!!!! your buns would of been perfect if you HAD put a small ramekin of water on a plate with the bun's and PUT them in the microwave for 30 ,seconds or so (a min max) and they would of reiterated after been baked in the air fryer to be GORGOUES and soft , Yet still that little crunch from the air fryer toasting still there

Both of these meal kits look delicious. I buy Bratwurst and thick German Bockwurst from Lidl and rolls from Lidl. Fried onions are pretty essential. I recently bought Heinz chip shop curry sauce from Sainsbury's. It used to be called curry sauce, but the replacement product, with the wording "Chip Shop" added, is exactly the same. The only difference is that the new version is produced in Germany.

Gaz they look good 😛 , what happened to the Saurkraut fpr them . A wee suggestion , wrap the buns in wet scrunched up piece greaseproof paper , wet with water and small spot of oil as they heat , it also works for nans and chapatis , pittas etc . Take it easy Gaz 👍

Went farm food today allways go there every other day got a bargin and a half today. Got the sausage man authentic bacon frankfurter four for £0.99p so I got five pack there are very tasty 20 frankfurter for a fiver cart beat that 💯💯💯💯👍👍👍👍

Bratwurst best with Zigeuner sauce. Lidl used to sell it then changed name to Gipsy sauce, then tomato and pepper sauce. Not sure if it's still stocked but I loved it much more than ketchup. Visited my Redcap brother in 1974 when he was stationed at Bielefeld. Loved German food and the supermarkets.

Like the vid but hate the packaging that seems to show chips and tomato is included on the franks it's not like those fresh foods where you can shift the sleeve and see what you get, why not just show me what I am buying? its like those packet foods that show you something and then say in small print just add egg, milk, onions, lettuce, tomato etc. all you are buying for some of these if flour and salt - i know this is a bit extreme and not the case here but the principle is the same, show me what I am buying. How much would it actually cost to make the meal shown on the box? I think by that time it's a ripoff but happy to be proved wrong, I dont think I will bother to try it, i'll get the ingredients from aldi instead.
